Texans Wide Receiver Will Fuller (Groin) Won't Play Against Bills in AFC Wild-Card Game Today

Fuller, who was initially a long-shot to play this weekend after injuring his groin, will miss this afternoon’s AFC playoff tilt vs. the Bills. The absence of the Texans’ WR2 has significant fantasy implications and is one of the most important injuries to monitor along with the likes of Miles Sanders and Zach Ertz.

Kenny stills will step into Fuller’s role, while WR Keke Coutee, who has been a healthy scratch several times this season, should be active in addition to WR DeAndre Carter. Stills has been unable to take advantage of an expanded role in four games without Fuller this season, never topping four receptions or 52 yards in a single contest. However, Stills is an excellent deep threat nonetheless and a nice value play for this weekend.

DeAndre Hopkins may also see additional volume as he has typically commanded a 30-35% target share without Fuller on the field. He has a poor matchup against the elite Bills’ CB Tre’Davious White, who ranked ninth in PFF’s cover grade in 2019. Hopkins and Stills will be among the highest-owned receivers on Saturday-only slates and in the top-10 on full-weekend slates, so their fantasy outputs will have enormous implications for tournament lineups.
