Bucs QB Jameis Winston (Thumb) is Officially Active Today Vs. the Texans
Winston, who was officially listed as questionable with the same thumb injury he had last weekend, is officially active and starting today as expected. His injury that didn’t stop him against the Lions last week, as he threw for 458 yards and four touchdowns. Winston is in another smash spot against the Texans today, who rank just 26th in pass DVOA and allow the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks.

Joe Mixon has looked great the past few weeks. He has had at least 23 touches in his last three games. They look to really be trying to commit to the run game finally which is where Mixon’s success is coming from. He gets Miami who has been very friendly to running backs giving up 140.9 yards per game which is 2nd in the NFL this year. I expect Mixon late season success to continue in this great matchup.
Sneaky Good RB
Since coming back from the injury Mack has struggled, But if you look at the games the past two weeks he has played two of the better run defenses in the league. It also doesn’t help that in the last game they were just dominated by the Saints. This week they should have more success on the ground against a struggling Panthers run Defense. Panthers this year are giving up 5.2 yards per carry which is tied for the most in the NFL, while they also have given up 26 touchdowns on the ground which is the most in football this season. Look for Mack to get back on track this week and we should get him at extremely low ownership.
49ers CB Richard Sherman Will Play Tonight Vs. Rams
The 49ers will have the anchor in their secondary back for tonight’s divisional tilt against the Rams. Though we saw the Niners struggle at times against the pass without Sherman – Julio Jones scored 41 DraftKings points last week vs. the 49ers – the 11-3 49ers still allow the fourth-least fantasy points or better to each skill position individually (QB, RB, WR, TE). The dominant Niners will look to hold Jared Goff and co. in check tonight, but volume and soft pricing still allows for the key Rams to be viable for tournaments on the Saturday slate.
As reported by: Adam SchefterBucs to Bring Back QB Jameis Winston for 2020 Season
One day he looks like Brett Favre, and another he looks like Nathan Peterman. Regardless of what you think of the former #1 overall pick, NFL Insider Ian Rappaport reports that Winston will be brought back to Tampa Bay next season via the franchise tag or transition tag. This news just became public hours before the Bucs kick off vs. the Texans today.
Winston will probably be the second-highest owned QB on today’s three-game slate behind Deshaun Watson on the other side. Despite the Bucs being down WRs Chris Godwin and Mike Evans, the turnover-prove Winston will garner ownership because of the gaudy attempts, yardage, and touchdowns he has put up recently. Additionally, Winston has cheap stacking options to allow DFS players to fit studs like DeAndre Hopkins and George Kittle in tournaments.
