Bo Scarbrough

Finding Some Salary Relief

Reliable salary savers aren’t going to be easy to come by on this slate. There’s plenty of risk/reward options out there, with wide receivers like Ted Ginn and Russell Gage possibly fitting that build. At the running back position, Bo Scarbrough checks in as one of the top values, and he has added appeal if you think game flow will be in his favor. On a short slate like this one, you have to start by telling yourself a story about potential game flows — and you can build your GPP lineups with those thoughts in mind. In this case, it will likely require the Lions playing with a lead. If that’s the case, we should see Scarbrough continue to get plenty of opportunities. He will not be heavily involved in the passing game, but he looked impressive on the ground with 18 carries for 98 yards (5.4 YPC) against the Redskins in Week 12.

Michael Thomas

The Top Passing Game Stack

With the Saints looking to close out the NFC South, don’t expect them to get shut down by the Falcons a second time. This could be a statement game on a national stage for the Saints, as they have looked beatable over the last month while San Francisco has looked like the best team in the NFC. Despite their inconsistencies as a team, though, Michael Thomas has looked like the best receiver in the NFL all season long. He has seen double digit targets in seven straight games and has eight or more catches in all of those. He leads the league in catches by 23. He leads the league in targets. He leads the league in receiving yards. He should continue to thrive against an underwhelming Falcons secondary, and the Brees/Thomas stack is clearly the top overall duo on the board for this short three game slate.

Taylor Gabriel (Concussion), Ben Braunecker (Concussion), Adam Shaheen (Foot) Listed as Not Participating on Estimated Report Monday

The concussions for Gabriel and Braunecker make both doubtful for Thursday. Every concussion is different, but that would be exceptionally quick to clear the concussion protocol. Shaheen has missed three straight games, and he is unlikely to return unless his status improves tomorrow. Keep in mind that the injury report today is an estimated report, as the Bears did not hold an actual practice.

Parris Campbell (Hand) Could Return Sunday vs Titans

When Campbell was first hurt, he targeted the Colts game vs the Titans for his return. Coach Frank Reich said Monday that Campbell could hit that return date, although nothing is set yet. Campbell has missed three games so far due to the fractured hand.

Marlon Mack

Marlon Mack (Hand) Ruled Out for Sunday vs Titans

Not surprisingly, Marlon Mack was ruled out for Sunday vs the Titans. He had surgery on his hand last week and remains out indefinitely. Mack will try to return this season, but Jonathan Williams and Nyheim Hines will continue to benefit from increased run in the meantime.

Eagles Waive Jordan Matthews

The Eagles waived Jordan Matthews Monday, an indication they might be getting healthier at WR. If Matthews was going to be pushed into a backup WR role, the fact he doesn’t play special teams significantly hurt his value.

Jeff Driskel

Washington Commanders
11/25/19, 5:35 PM ET

Jeff Driskel (Hamstring), T.J. Hockenson (Shoulder) Listed as Limited on Estimated Practice Report Monday

Driskel and Hockenson were both limited on the Lions’ estimated practice report Monday. Driskel is already filling in for the injured Matthew Stafford, and they have little else available at QB. David Blough is the only fully healthy QB on the roster currently, and he is an undrafted rookie QB yet to take an NFL snap.

Matthew Stafford

Los Angeles Rams
11/25/19, 5:30 PM ET

Matthew Stafford (Hip/Back), Marvin Hall (Foot) Listed as Not Practicing on Estimated Practice Report Monday

The Lions play Thursday, so Monday’s report was just an estimated practice report. Given the quick turnaround this week, both Stafford and Hall look unlikely to play. Jeff Driskel will continue starting with Stafford out, although he is dealing with his own hamstring issue.

Julio Jones

Philadelphia Eagles
11/25/19, 5:27 PM ET

Julio Jones (Shoulder), Luke Stocker (Back), Austin Hooper (Knee) Listed as Not Participating on Estimated Practice Report Monday

Both Stocker and Jones played Sunday, so there could be an element of rest in their designations. Hooper has missed two straight games and looks unlikely to play Thursday. Keep in mind that these are estimated designations, as the Falcons did not actually practice this week.

Devonta Freeman (Foot) Listed as Limited on Estimated Practice Report Monday
