Both Breida and Mostert did not participate in the 49ers walk-through on Tuesday night. Both seem unlikely to be able to play Thursday night against the Cardinals.

The Bengals announced that Dalton will be benched for Ryan Finley when they return from their upcoming bye week. Dalton has the lowest QB rating of his career and just a 9-8 TD-INT ratio as the Bengals have started 0-8. Finley, the rookie 4th round pick, will be making his first start against the Ravens Week 10.

The Jets are reportedly open to trading Le’Veon Bell before the trade deadline today. He is on an affordable contract this year and his salary is guaranteed for next season. Bell is averaging just 50 yards per game and 3.2 yards per attempt this season, but it is hard to put the blame on him. The Jets’ offense has been horrible, and a trade would likely provide a significant boost to his value.

Flacco is getting a second opinion on his neck, but the initial diagnosis indicates he won’t need surgery and could miss 5-6 weeks. That could be long enough to force him onto Injured Reserve and end his season. Brandon Allen will get at least one start for the Broncos.

Mark Walton had been assumed to be taking over the starting spot, and is still likely the better play. Ballage might be listed as the starter, but he has only gained 43 yards on 25 rushes (1.7 yards/attempt) over 6 games. Compare that to Walton’s 137 yards on 30 rushes (4.6 Y/A) over 5 games.
