Falcons QB Matt Ryan Will not Play Tomorrow Against the Seahawks
As expected after the signing of QB Danny Etling, Ryan will not suit up vs. the Seahawks after limping off of the field following a hit by Rams DT Aaron Donald last week. Veteran backup Matt Schaub should get the start under center.
Expect massive line movement from the 53.5 O/U and spread, in addition to lower projections for all Atlanta and Seattle pass catchers and higher projections for the Seahawks DST. While Chris Carson is likely to remain chalk, MVP candidate Russell Wilson should see his ownership drop significantly along with Tyler Lockett given the potential game script.
The ripple effects of Ryan’s injury will alter the GPP landscape throughout the industry this weekend. There will be fewer lineups with stacks of this game, while more ownership will likely flock to the Texans/Raiders, Lions/Giants, and Titans/Buccaneers.

This is bigger news for real-life football than DFS this weekend, since the Saints are legitimate Super Bowl contenders. While Brees is cheaper than he should be on some sites, especially FanDuel, there is a high likelihood he won’t have to throw enough to put up big numbers tomorrow. Although the Cardinals are a measly 26th in pass DVOA, the Saints operate at the third-slowest situation neutral pace and are huge home favorites. Despite the upgrade at quarterback, Michael Thomas and Latavius Murray’s projections will barely budge because of the projected game script.

Samuels’ status is worth monitoring if you are playing the full slate or Showdown on Monday Night. Everyone knows the Dolphins can’t stop anybody, so if Samuels plays he has the opportunity to do damage. Additionally, he would limit James Conner’s ceiling and make Benny Snell a very thin single-game tournament option.

Todd Gurley should see a lot of work against this weak Cincinnati Bengals run defense. This year the Bengals are giving up 189 yards per game on the ground, which is the 29 yards more than the second worst team. Gurley saw the most carries of the season last week with 18 and I think he could get 20 in this great matchup. They should be ahead most of this game, and this should lead to a heavy dose of running the football.
More Opportunity
We saw the Packers beaten down receiving core just crush the secondary for the Raiders who just traded one of their former first round corners. With Will Fuller injured this opens up a ton of playing time for Stills. Since Hopkins is across from him he should see a lot of one on one coverage and is good enough to succeed in this matchup.
Dolphins CB Xavien Howard Questionable for Monday Night, S Reshad Jones is Out
The Dolphins will once again be shorthanded in the secondary. Even if Howard goes, he has been a shell of himself this year and his on-field presence should not be enough to significantly help the worst pass defense in the league. The Steelers will likely stick to the same conservative offensive game plan they have instituted since Big Ben went down, with lots of short, high percentage throws.

John Brown is one of my favorite WR plays on the slate. The Eagles secondary has been dreadful this season. This is a team I have been picking on all year and Brown is definitely the clear number 1 WR for the Bills. This is one of the best spots he will be in all year, so I will be overweight on him in tournaments.
Jets TE Chris Herndon (Hamstring) Out for Sunday's Game
Chris Herndon is out again tomorrow, but his absence has minimal impact to the Jets offense as a whole. With Robby Anderson trade rumors flying around, Sam Darnold banged up, and the tough matchup (JAC Ranks 9th in Pass DVOA), betting on the New York passing game this weekend is a risky proposition.
As reported by: Brian CostelloPackers ILB Blake Martinez (Wrist/Hand) Questionable for Tomorrow at Kansas City
Martinez was re-added to the injury report after being removed for the same ailments earlier in the week. If the tackling machine cannot go vs. the Chiefs, it would be a big blow to the Packers defense.

Although Falcons franchise QB Matt Ryan is officially a game-time decision for tomorrow’s home tilt vs. the Seahawks, this is a sign that he is on the more doubtfulside of questionable. Expect massive line movement from the 53.5 O/U and spread, in addition to lower projections for all Atlanta and Seattle pass catchers and higher projections for the Seahawks DST.

Josh Gordon will likely be healthy within the next two weeks, and then the Patriots are expected to waive him, meaning he can join a new NFL team in the second half of the season. The writing was on the wall for Gordon after the Patriots traded the Falcons a second-round pick for WR Mohamed Sanu. Gordon’s movement is something to keep an eye on for the future.

Brees and Kamara both have a chance to play after being limited in practice Friday. QB Teddy Bridgewater and RB Latavius Murray would be the backups if either player is ruled out.
