Kenny Stills

New Orleans Saints

After previously being ruled out, Kenny Stills will be active Sunday after a successful pre-game warmup

After previously being ruled out, Kenny Stills will be active Sunday after a successful pre-game warmup. It’s unclear how much he’ll play or if he’ll have any limitations, but his presence does eat into the outlook of Danny Amendola and DeVante Parker. Stills has remained a boom-or-bust play this year and he’s been on a downslide since a scorching-hot Week 1, so he carries a ton of risk in this spot.

Lions defense gets Ziggy Ansah back this afternoon

This is a big boost for the Lions pass rush. They still aren’t a recommended D/ST play on the road against Kirk Cousins and the Vikings, but this news does bump up the outlook for their pass rush.

Miami's field surface issues being overblown? Dolphins beat Adam Beasley suggests the surface will be of "NFL quality"

There has been a lot of talk surrounding field conditions in Miami, but Adam Beasley suggested earlier that the field looks better today than it did at times last year, for what that’s worth. It’s also being reported that the field should be of “NFL quality” so this isn’t a spot that should be faded based solely on the field outlook.

Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa will be active Sunday

Robby Anderson and Quincy Enunwa will be active Sunday, per Manish Mehta. This reiterates what Schefter said last night, although I have seen a few beats say that Anderson has not yet come out onto the field for warmups as of 11:05 ET. It’s not concerning at this point but if anything in regards to his status changes, we’ll let you know. Field conditions aren’t great in Miami after a rain-filled college game yesterday, but Dolphins beat Adam Beasley has suggested that the field looks better today than it did at times last season. Given the price tags on Anderson and Enunwa, they are both viable GPP punt plays at WR. Stay away from Jermaine Kearse.

Kenny Stills will not play Sunday

No surprise here. With Stills out, Danny Amendola sets up as a viable target on full-point PPR sites with the field surface for this game not expected to be friendly towards the deep-passing game. DeVante Parker is still on the GPP radar after finally showing some life in a Dolphins uniform, with Jakeem Grant also around to provide depth.

Rob Gronkowski

Patriots concerned about status of Gronkowski and Michel, but both are likely to be game-time decisions

It’s not terribly uncommon for the Patriots to have a long injury report, but it may actually be warranted this Sunday. Gronkowski and Michel appear to be coming down to true game-time decisions. If Michel can’t go, we’ll see Kenjon Barner work alongside James White while a myriad of Pats pass-catchers would help fill Gronk’s void. We’ll update this one later on this afternoon as we get more information.

Browns WRs Antonio Callaway (ankle) and WR Rashard Higgins (knee) are expected to be able to play today

Browns WRs Antonio Callaway (ankle) and WR Rashard Higgins (knee) are expected to be able to play today. We’ll know sure here in a little under two hours, but expect Baker Mayfield to have his full complement of weapons heading into a home match-up with Kansas City. While the Chiefs have fared well against slot receivers (where Jarvis Landry spends most of his time), Callaway and Higgins are dart throws at best.

Randall Cobb (hamstring) is expected to play tonight

Randall Cobb (hamstring) is expected to play tonight against New England. The Packers aren’t expected to have Geronimo Allison, so it’s likely we’ll see Cobb and Marquez Valdes-Scantling act as the main options behind Davante Adams. All three are potential targets in what should be a high-scoring Sunday night game.

Kenny Stills (groin) expected to sit Sunday

Kenny Stills (groin) is expected to sit today against the Jets. He’s been looking very iffy all week and will miss another game Sunday which affords DeVante Parker another chance to run with the starting unit after finally breaking out. Danny Amendola and Jakeem Grant should also see some increased snaps. We’ll confirm Stills’ absence as inactives are released.

Melvin Gordon

Baltimore Ravens
11/04/18, 3:18 AM ET

Schefter: Melvin Gordon will play; Royce Freeman not expected to go; Jets optimistic they'll have Anderson & Enunwa

Schefter: Melvin Gordon will play, Royce Freeman is not expected to go and the Jets are optimistic they’ll have Anderson & Enunwa on Sunday. Gordon will resume lead-back duties against Seattle, while Freeman’s absence leaves the Denver backfield to Lindsey and Booker. Lindsey was already an attractive option heading into the week but his outlook only improves with this news. Booker likely picks up extra snaps as well, but isn’t a recommended DFS option. With Anderson and Enunwa back for Sam Darnold, we can thankfully cross Jermaine Kearse off the list of potential value plays at WR.

Geronimo Allison

Atlanta Falcons
11/03/18, 6:28 PM ET

Packers WR Geronimo Allison (groin, hamstring) out for Sunday night

Allison has officially been downgraded from doubtful and won’t play in Sunday night’s matchup against the New England Patriots due to nagging hamstring and groin injuries. This means that the Packers will utilize the trio of Davante Adams, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, and Randall Cobb in three-wide receiver sets tomorrow evening. Valdes-Scantling out-snapped Cobb in last week’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams, so it’s certainly possible that he will be locked in as Aaron Rodgers’ number two wideout moving forward, regardless of Allison’s availability. However, his role certainly is crystallized with Allison sidelined, and since Adams is likely to see shadow coverage from Stephon Gilmore, it makes Valdes-Scantling an appealing option on the Week 9 primetime and single-game slates.

Derek Anderson

Buffalo Bills
11/03/18, 4:13 PM ET

Derek Anderson (concussion) officially out Sunday; Nathan Peterman will start

Anderson has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Sunday’s matchup against the Chicago Bears as he remains in the NFL’s concussion protocol. This will allow Nathan Peterman to start at quarterback and, to put it mildly, has struggled to begin his career when given the opportunity. Not that Anderson has been highly efficient in his starts, but his absence is certainly a boost to the projected value of the Bears defense, as Buffalo currently owns a laughable 13.75 implied team total, easily the lowest of the week.

Geoff Swaim

Cleveland Browns
11/03/18, 3:41 PM ET

Cowboys TE Geoff Swaim (knee) doubtful for Monday night; Tavon Austin (groin) ruled out

Swaim has officially been listed as doubtful for Monday night’s matchup against the Tennessee Titans due to a knee injury, while Austin has been downgraded to out as he continues to deal with a groin injury. Austin has averaged just 2.2 touches per game this season, so his absence obviously won’t benefit anyone on the Dallas offense. Without Swaim, the Cowboys will likely utilize a three-way tight end committee featuring Blake Jarwin, Rico Gathers, and Dalton Schultz, and while Gathers should theoretically have the highest upside of the three, head coach Jason Garrett and his staff have continued to keep him on the sideline in favor of Swaim and Jarwin in two tight end sets.

Corey Davis

New York Jets
11/03/18, 3:25 PM ET

Corey Davis (hamstring) practices in full, will play Monday night

Davis finally put in a full practice and has been cleared to play in Monday night’s matchup against the Dallas Cowboys despite dealing with a hamstring injury. The Titans offense has largely been underwhelming for daily fantasy formats, and even though Davis is averaging eight targets per game, he remains an uninspiring option for the primetime and single-game slates as he figures to see plenty of stud cornerback Byron Jones on Monday evening.

Keke Coutee

Miami Dolphins
11/03/18, 3:04 PM ET

Texans WR Keke Coutee (hamstring) ruled out for Sunday

Coutee has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Sunday’s matchup against the Denver Broncos due to a hamstring injury. His unavailability will likely force the Texans to run Tyler Ervin out of the slot, as they did in their Week 8 loss to the Miami Dolphins, which leaves the newly-acquired Demaryius Thomas and DeAndre Hopkins as the primary receiving options on the perimeter. Thomas only has a few days of practice under his belt with his new team, so he’s likely not worth the risk in daily fantasy formats, but Hopkins has historically seen an uptick in targets when Will Fuller has been sidelined and will be an intriguing, potentially low-owned tournament target on the Week 9 slates.
