Per FanShare, Matt Ryan not generating much buzz despite a positive Week 9 outlook
If you aren’t familiar with it, we have a section in LineupHQ called “FanShare Buzzscores” and it helps to give you an idea of the type of interest a player is receiving throughout the week. It’s not a surprise to see Cam Newton generating the most buzz among QBs this week with a home draw against the league’s worst defense, but it was a little surprising to see Matt Ryan generate so little attention. Washington’s defense is no slouch, but they are a better run-stopping unit and the nature of their secondary should leave them vulnerable to Atlanta’s trio of wide receivers and pass-catching backs/tight-ends. Ryan does hold a sentimate rating of 10 which is elite, but only a 1.3 Buzzscore which indicates he’s going overlooked. Especially for multi-entry players, a Ryan-Julio Jones stack is very appealing in tournaments.
Vikings promote WR Chad Beebe from the practice squad to 53-man roster
This news is not a positive sign for the availability of Stefon Diggs in Sunday’s matchup against the Detroit Lions, but he officially remains questionable with a ribs injury. Diggs didn’t practice all week, and he was adamant with reporters on Thursday that he “absolutely” would play this weekend. However, the Vikings have a bye coming up in Week 10, so it would not be all that surprising if they opt to make Diggs inactive as a precaution. As for Beebe, he has been a standout on the scout team for the last two months, and if Diggs is not able to give it a go tomorrow, Beebe reportedly could play a considerable role on offense and may end up forcing Adam Thielen to run more of his routes on the outside against Darius Slay than normal.

Redskins will be without Chris Thompson against ATL; Richardson and Bibbs both considered questionable
Other tagged players: Paul Richardson, Kapri BibbsDespite a questionable tag, Chris Carson expected to play on Sunday
Despite a questionable tag, Chris Carson is expected to play on Sunday. This was expected to be the case all week as they’ve managed his reps in recent weeks as well, so there is little reason to expect anyone else to head the backfield against the Chargers. He looks like a particularly good value on DraftKings where he’s been habitually priced under $5K.
Jordan Reed removed from injury report, will play Sunday
Jordan Reed has been removed from injury report and will play Sunday. Adrian Peterson also got a full practice in on Friday which has been somewhat of a rarity, so the Skins should have two of their more important playmakers available against Atlanta. Reed is squarely on the DFS radar this weekend with Travis Kelce being the only real high-end play at the position, but Greg Olsen does hold more cash game appeal.
Alex Collins (foot) officially listed as questionable vs. PIT, but he was able to fully participate in Friday's practice which bodes well
Alex Collins (foot) officially listed as questionable vs. PIT, but he was able to fully participate in Friday’s practice which bodes well for his status. If for some reason he can’t go, Buck Allen would become one of the stronger value plays at RB this week, but that’s still wishful thinking at this point. The Ravens are going to be without their two starting offensive tackles, which is going to make things tougher for Baltimore’s offense as a whole, but particularly the passing game.
Edelman, Gronkowski, Gordon, Sony Michel, Jacob Hollister, Cordarrelle Patterson all questionable vs. GB
C’mon Bill. Basically the whole offense is questionable so this injury report does not really tell us anything. Gronk, Edelman and Gordon are all expected to suit up, with Sony Michel’s status being a little more unclear. Cordarrelle Patterson was added to the injury report today, so it’s also possible he picked up something over the course of the practice week.

Geronimo Allison is doubtful vs. New England while Randall Cobb is considered questionable. With Allison unlikely to go, Marquez Valdes-Scantling figures to act as the 3rd WR assuming Cobb plays, giving him some tournament appeal in what is likely to be a high scoring game between Green Bay and New England. This tilt doesn’t kick off till Sunday night, so it’s possible we don’t have word on Cobb by the time lineups lock at 1PM ET on Sunday.

Ravens starting two backup offensive tackles, James Hurst and Ronnie Stanley, are both going to miss Sunday’s game with the Steelers. That’s very bad news for Joe Flacco against a resurging Pittsburgh defense that still boasts one of the league’s better pash rushes, so this could be a sneaky spot to let the PIT D/ST unit loose.
Stefon Diggs doesn't practice Friday, listed as questionable but expected to play
Stefon Diggs doesn’t practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday. He’s still expected to play against Detroit, and that comes with him having not practiced all week. If some extra concern develops over the weekend, we’ll keep you updated. Adam Thielen is the top high-end WR play for cash games regardless of Diggs’ status and is always in the GPP discussion.
The Back-From-Injured-Reserve Special
The Jets have activated Running Back Elijah McGuire from Injured Reserve, and he could see playing time right away against the Dolphins this week with the Jets hurting at the RB position. McGuire showed potential last season with 315 rushing yards and 17 receptions for 177 yards, and he could see targets right away in a passing offense that is lacking in weapons. McGuire is minimum-priced across DFS sites this week and should be considered if you are looking to load up on high-priced players at other slots.
Jets activate RB Elijah McGuire from short-term IR, waive RB De'Angelo Henderson
As expected, the New York Jets have officially activated running back Elijah McGuire from injured reserve and he will be set to make his season debut in Sunday’s matchup against the Miami Dolphins after missing the first eight weeks with a foot injury. It remains unclear just how big of a role he will play in the running back rotation from the outset, but his presence certainly muddies the projected workload of Isaiah Crowell since he has been truly game script dependent. This backfield situation may be one to avoid in daily fantasy formats considering Trenton Cannon out-snapped Crowell in Week 8 and may now evolve into a three-back committee with McGuire returning from injury.
As reported by: the New York Jets via Twitter Other tagged players: De'Angelo HendersonThis Cheap RB Was Putting Up Points Prior to His Bye Week
Somewhat forgotten about with his bye week last week, Ito Smith was putting up points and taking away some opportunities from Tevin Coleman prior to the bye. Smith has shown a nose for the end zone with touchdowns in three of his last four games and has been involved in the receiving game as well with 12 receptions on the year. Those statistics don’t jump off the page, but Ito is dirt-cheap and a possible bargain if he can find the end zone against the Redskins again this Sunday.
Amari Cooper to start on MNF
Amari Cooper will start at WR for the Cowboys on Monday night, which was basically a foregone conclusion. They’ll likely use him primarily on the outside with Cole Beasley eating up most of his routes on the inside.
Derek Anderson questionable, Josh Allen ruled out for Sunday
Derek Anderson is questionable while Josh Allen has been ruled out for Sunday. Anderson is dealing with a concussion and still appears more likely to play than not, but the Bears D/ST unit would become an even more appealing target if he can’t go. There isn’t any real reason to look towards the Bills sideline for DFS purposes.
