Tyreek Hill

Miami Dolphins
11/01/18, 5:39 PM ET

Tyreek Hill (groin) limited Thursday

Tyreek Hill was limited Thursday due to a groin injury he sustained at the end of the Chiefs week 8 matchup with the Broncos. The injury was initially diagnosed as a groin strain, and his ability to log a limited practice today bodes well for his odds of suiting up for week 9. That said, he he suffers a setback and can’t go, look for more targets to be funneled towards Travis Kelce and Sammy Watkins.

David Njoku

Los Angeles Chargers
11/01/18, 5:41 PM ET

David Njoku (knee) and Antonio Callaway (ankle) limited again Thursday for the Browns

David Njoku (knee) and Antonio Callaway (ankle) were both limited again Thursday for the Browns. At this point nothing suggests either player is in danger of missing this weekend’s matchup with the Chiefs, but keep an eye on their practice status heading into the weekend to ensure neither suffers a setback. If either player were unable to suit up, it would mean even more targets than usual for Jarvis Landry, who already dominates the target share for this Browns passing attack.

Taylor Gabriel

Chicago Bears
11/01/18, 5:42 PM ET

Taylor Gabriel (knee) practiced full Thursday

Taylor Gabriel practiced fully Thursday and is on track to see his usual workload this Sunday against the Bills. With fellow wideout Allen Robinson still banged up, look for Gabriel to be heavily involved in the Bears passing attack this weekend.

Allen Robinson

Detroit Lions
11/01/18, 5:44 PM ET

Allen Robinson (groin) doesn't practice again Thursday

Allen Robinson didn’t practice again Thursday due to the groin injury that kept him out of action week 8. At this point he appears truly questionable to be able to make his return this week, as he has been unable to practice in any capacity thus far. If Robinson misses week 9, look for Taylor Gabriel and Trey Burton to see heavier target shares, with Tarik Cohen seeing respectable passing volume out of the backfield as well.

Nick Mullens

Jacksonville Jaguars
11/01/18, 11:07 PM ET

Nick Mullens will start at QB for the 49ers on Thursday night

Nick Mullens will start at QB for the 49ers on Thursday night. CJ Beathard will be active, but is not healthy enough to go and will only act as the backup in an emergency situation.

C.J. Beathard

Detroit Lions

While CJ Beathard has been cleared for tonight, it's still very possible that Nick Mullens ends up starting at QB for TNF

While CJ Beathard has been cleared for tonight, it’s still very possible that Nick Mullens ends up starting at QB for TNF per Matt Maiocco. The 49ers did cut Tom Savage today which would seemingly indicate that Beathard is at worst healthy enough to act as the backup QB, but a few 49ers beats are rolling out the notion that it may be Mullens who gets the starting nod. If that is indeed the case, it would be a mild bump down for the 49ers pass-catchers, but on a showdown slate we don’t exactly have too many viable pivoting options. Mullens does provide some savings to Beathard on DraftKings which is helpful, but the value of guys like George Kittle and Marquise Goodwin does drop a little.

DeAndre Hopkins

Baltimore Ravens
11/01/18, 5:46 PM ET

DeAndre Hopkins (foot) and Keke Coutee (hamstring) limited in practice again Thursday

DeAndre Hopkins (foot) and Keke Coutee (hamstring) were both limited in practice again Thursday for the Texans. Both players are at this point expected to be active this weekend against the Broncos barring any setbacks throughout the week. After losing Will Fuller to a torn ACL look for both players to be heavily involved in the passing attack for the Texans, with newly acquired Demaryius Thomas seeing as much run as he can handle as well despite his limited opportunity to learn the play book.

49ers release QB Tom Savage, CJ Beathard (wrist) expected to be active Thursday night

The 49ers have released QB Tom Savage, and CJ Beathard is expected to be active Thursday night against the Raiders. That said, Nick Mullens has been declared the starter, so Beathard is only available on an emergency basis.

Mohamed Sanu

Miami Dolphins
11/01/18, 5:55 PM ET

Mohamed Sanu (hip) doesn't practice Thursday

Mohamed Sanu didn’t practice Thursday due to his hip injury. This is notable because Sanu was able to log a limited practice yesterday, and any time a player trends in the wrong direction with their practice status throughout the week it brings their status for the weekend into question. If Sanu were unable to suit up it would mean additional looks for Calvin Ridley and Austin Hooper, and of course Julio Jones who will lead the target distribution regardless. Keep an eye on Sanu’s practice status heading into the weekend to get a clearer picture of his availability.

Julian Edelman

New England Patriots
11/01/18, 5:57 PM ET

Julian Edelman (ankle) and Sony Michel (knee) limited in practice Thursday for Patriots

Julian Edelman (ankle) and Sony Michel (knee) were both limited in practice Thursday for the Patriots. This bodes well for both of their availabilities for the weekend, as Michel is coming off of missing week 8 due to his knee injury and Edelman didn’t practice yesterday. At this point it appears both players are trending towards being active and seeing their usual workloads, but keep an eye on their practice status heading into the weekend to ensure neither suffers a setback.

Elijah McGuire

Kansas City Chiefs
11/01/18, 11:08 PM ET

Elijah McGuire (foot) expected to be activated for Sunday

Elijah McGuire (foot) expected to be activated for Sunday. It’s a little hard to figure out where he’ll end up in the pecking order, but it’s absolutely possible he ends up seeing the lion’s share of the work in games where the Jets aren’t able to rely heavily on a ground-and-pound approach with Isaiah Crowell. McGuire does also figure to eat into some early-down work, so he’s not a bad GPP gamble given his DFS asking price. This is not a place to go in cash games.

Cooper Kupp

Rams confirm Cooper Kupp (knee) on track to play Sunday

Rams confirm Cooper Kupp (knee) on track to play Sunday. His presence will take Josh Reynolds out of consideration after he performed admirably last week, and could eat very slightly into the usage for Woods/Cooks.

Corey Davis

New York Jets
11/01/18, 11:10 PM ET

Corey Davis (hamstring) limited in practice Thursday

Corey Davis (hamstring) limited in practice Thursday. He’s still expected to be a go for Monday night, as the Titans have an extra day to prepare and it wouldn’t be overly concerning if he was limited again tomorrow.

Stefon Diggs

New England Patriots
11/01/18, 6:36 PM ET

Stefon Diggs (rib) doesn't practice again Thursday

Stefon Diggs didn’t practice again Thursday, although he has said that he fully expects to suit up this Sunday against the Lions. Keep an eye on his practice status in the coming days to ensure that his predicted availability is correct, but for now we will expect him to suit up and see his usual workload. If he ultimately is unable to suit up, look for Adam Thielen to see even more targets than usual, with Laquon Treadwell and Kyle Rudolph seeing increased targets also.

Dalvin Cook

Dallas Cowboys
11/01/18, 6:41 PM ET

Dalvin Cook (hamstring) limited in practice again Thursday

Dalvin Cook was limited in practice again Thursday due to his lingering hamstring injury. At this point Cook’s status for week 9 appears truly up in the air, and the team may elect to rest him another week heading into their week 10 bye. If that is the case, look for Latavius Murray to handle the bulk of the carries out of the Vikings backfield in a favorable matchup against the Lions.
