Josh Gordon (hamstring) limited in practice Monday
Josh Gordon was limited in practice Monday due to his lingering hamstring issue. Gordon made his Patriots debut this past Sunday against the Dolphins, catching his only two targets for 32 yards. Keep an eye on his status for the Patriots upcoming Thursday night matchup against the Colts, although with Julian Edelman returning from suspension the targets may again be limited even if Gordon is active.
Falcons are 'hopeful' Devonta Freeman (knee) will return Week 5
The Falcons appear optimistic that Freeman will suit up for the first time since week 1 this Sunday against the Steelers. Despite logging limited practices all of last week Freeman was ultimately deemed unable to play week 4, but his week of limited practices also bodes well for his odds of playing week 5. Freeman being back in the lineup is obviously a hit to Tevin Coleman’s usage, as well as the usage of Ito Smith as well.
Larry Fitzgerald day-to-day with hamstring injury
Larry Fitzgerald is being considered day-to-day with a hamstring injury that has kept him at less than full strength to start the season. Keep an eye on his practice progress throughout the week, as his availability greatly impacts the viability of the Cardinals passing attack as a whole with Josh Rosen under center.
Rob Gronkowski (ankle) doesn't practice Monday
Rob Gronkowski missed practice Monday due to an ankle injury he aggravated in Sunday’s win against the Dolphins. The Patriots have commented that they don’t believe the injury to be serious, but with a quick turnaround for their Thursday night matchup with the Colts keep an eye on Gronk’s practice status Tuesday and Wednesday as to if he will be able to give it a go Thursday night.
Jaguars not sure how long RB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) will be out; Taking it "day by day"
Head Coach Doug Marrone implied that the Jaguars’ workhorse back would miss some time again after re-aggravating a hamstring injury in Week 4. Fellow back T.J. Yeldon should be in line for another start in Week 5 against a generous Chiefs defense, after seeing almost all the snaps when Fournette exited on Sunday. Yeldon produced 100 total yards and 2 touchdowns in that time with Corey Grant mixing in sparingly. At $6,500 on FanDuel and $5,600 on DraftKings he should be a popular value target assuming Fournette sits.

This was expected after veteran QB Ryan Fitzpatrick came crashing back to earth on Sunday in their blowout loss to the Bears. Winston will have the bye to get plenty of first team reps in and couldn’t hope for a better matchup for his first start against a struggling Falcons defense missing several key pieces.

Coach Bill O’Brien added that their #2 wideout’s removal from Sunday’s game wasn’t precautionary so there’s a chance Fuller misses Week 5’s in-state rivalry game against the Cowboys. Rookie receiver Keke Coutee filled in nicely in Week 4 turning a whopping 15 targets into over 100 yards and would be a nice value if Fuller can’t go.

The veteran back didn’t practice today but has plenty of time to get right ahead of Monday night’s matchup against his former team. However, that game sets up better for fellow third-down and pass-catching back Chris Thompson with the Redskins being 7-point underdogs to the Saints in the Superdome.

It’s been a disappointing season thus far for Gronk, partly due to being the primary focus of defensive schemes and seeing constant double teams. Assuming Gronk is healthy, that could change as soon as this week due to the return of WR Julian Edelman (suspension) and the expected increase in snaps for Josh Gordon after being on the field for just 18 plays in his first game with the Patriots last Sunday.
As reported by: Adam SchefterRB Chris Carson (hip) expected back in Week 5
Carson received a massive 34 touches in the Seahawks’ Week 3 win but was a surprise inactive in Week 4 with the hip injury. Mike Davis picked up the majority of the backfield work in his absence on Sunday and impressed going for 124 total yards and 2 touchdowns in another Seahawks win. At this point, it’s unclear whether Carson will resume a workhorse role upon his return or whether Davis has worked his way into a committee after the impressive performance. Either way, the Seattle run game will have a big challenge against the Rams’ strong defensive front in Week 5.
As reported by: John Boyle Other tagged players: Mike DavisTE O.J. Howard (knee) expected to miss 2-4 weeks
The second-year tight end suffered a sprained MCL on Sunday. The Bucs have a bye this week so it’s possible Howard only misses one game. Howard was severely out-snapping fellow TE Cameron Brate through the team’s first 4 weeks before exiting Sunday’s loss to the Bears. Brate, who has touchdown catches in each of the past 2 games, figures to soak up the majority of Howard’s snaps and be close to an every-down tight end during his absence.

Redskins not practicing include RB Adrian Peterson. He is on the side doing work and is NOT in a boot. His status will be updated throughout the week.
As reported by: John Keim TwitterWill Fuller Dinged Up
Will Fuller tweaked his hamstring in Week 4 against the Colts and as a result played only 27 snaps. This allowed for Keke Coutee, the rookie out of Texas Tech, to step in and grab 10 receptions for 109 yards. This is a situation to monitor throughout the week, but it appears as though Deshaun Watson has a plethora of weapons at his disposal.
Ingram Returning
Week 5 means the return of Saints RB Mark Ingram from a 4 game ban enforced by the NFL. Ingram may or may not make an impact on the stat sheet right away, as his success is largely tied to game script, but he should make an impact on Alvin Kamara. Kamara has been so good through 4 games that his price sits at the top of the salary chart and now he should lose a few carries and snaps to Ingram. He is still capable of putting up a huge game based on how efficient he is, but it might be a good idea to temper expectations with the addition of Ingram to the mix.
Patriot Ready to Return
New England WR Julian Edelman is set to make his season debut in Week 5. With Chris Hogan being a non-factor, Rob Gronkowski dinged up and Josh Gordon not ready to contribute with due to lack of practice time, Edelman should slide right on in as the #1 target for this week’s game versus the Colts. Don’t hesitate to roster Edelman.
