The RotoGrinders NHL Grind Down article will give you an in-depth analysis into the NHL schedule. This article will break down the numbers for every single game and give you analysis on which trends you can exploit. While matchups are a major factor in daily fantasy hockey there are plenty of other factors to consider such as injuries, salaries, and more.

The analysis should point you in the right direction, but it is still up to you to decipher the information and make your own selections. Hockey is an extremely high variance sport. The best choice is not always the right choice but following the trends will win you money over time.

It took a monumental effort from Anthony Duclair but he was able to score all three goals in the Coyotes 3-2 overtime win against the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night. Their modest two game winning streak represents half of the wins that the team has been able to muster so far this season. Clayton Keller leads the team with 11 goals and 18 points while defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson and his 13 points are good enough for second on the team. Brendan Perlini skates with Derek Stepan and Tobias Rieder while Duclair’s promotion off of the last line did him wonders skating with Max Domi and Christian Dvorak. Meanwhile Keller skates alongside of Brad Richardson and Christian Fischer in what could be a decent line in the making. Arizona is still very leaky on the back end as they have given up 85 goals which are by far the most in the league. Richardson and Rieder are the only two players who do not see enough power play time as the Coyotes use two full lines equally so if you are looking for a few GPP plays, stay away from those two. Alex Goligoski can be and alternative on the back line as he has registered 11 points in the first 22 games. You could do much worse than that tonight. I doubt Arizona will win their third game in a row and should have trouble scoring against a team that has given up just three goals in the last four games.

Toronto welcomed back Auston Matthews back into the fold with a 6-0 thrashing of the Canadiens in Montreal on Saturday night. Matthews took his spot between Zach Hyman and William Nylander while seeing a majority of the power play time skating with Nylander, Patrick Marleau and Connor Brown.
