Chandler Hutchison

Phoenix Suns
1/02/22, 7:10 PM ET

Chandler Hutchison (left knee soreness) available to play Sunday

With the Suns having very little frontcourt depth due to the absences of DeAndre Ayton and JaVale McGee, Hutchison could potentially play a bench role here but does not figure to eat much (if at all) into Cam Johnson or Jalen Smith’s run, but could lead to some of the bench guards being less involved. There isn’t much DFS impact here.

Miles Bridges

Phoenix Suns
1/02/22, 7:07 PM ET

Miles Briges available to play Sunday

Bridges is available to play Sunday. He could be a little limited due to conditioning concerns, but he should still play at least close to a normal allotment of minutes unless the coaching staff notes otherwise. His return does eat into the upside of Terry Rozier, Kelly Oubre, Gordon Hayward and Cody Martin.

Terence Davis

Sacramento Kings
1/02/22, 7:00 PM ET

Terence Davis (ankle soreness) ruled out Sunday

Davis won’t play Sunday, but he was not in the projected rotation to begin with now that the Kings are fairly healthy at the guard and wing spots. This doesn’t impact our Sacramento projections.

Luka Doncic

Los Angeles Lakers
1/02/22, 6:45 PM ET

Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr., Maxi Kleber, Frank Ntilikina available to play Sunday; Kristaps Porzingis ruled out

The Mavs lineup will look a little different tonight with Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Maxi Kleber all returning to the lineup. With Kristaps Porzingis out, they all step into improved spots, especially Luka and THJ. Frank Ntilikina will play Sunday, but his role should fall back considerably with Luka back. Jason Kidd has noted that the three returning players will be on minutes limits, but has not specified what those limits will be. Given that factor, these guys would be more suitable as tournament targets with the hopes that Kidd does not put much of a leash on them.

Lu Dort

Atlanta Hawks
1/02/22, 6:29 PM ET

Lu Dort ruled out Sunday; Thunder will start Giddey, Jerome, Wiggins, Poku and Roby

Lu Dort has been ruled out Sunday with a wrist issue, leaving the Thunder even more shorthanded with SGA already out of action. Aleksej Pokusevski will start for Dort, and he does step onto the DFS radar with the Thunders two leading scorers out of the equation. Josh Giddey, Ty Jerome and Aaron Wiggins are all fine targets on Sunday with the Thunder not having a whole lot on the wing.

PJ Washington

Dallas Mavericks
1/02/22, 6:23 PM ET

PJ Washington (health and safety protocols) ruled out Sunday

Washington has been ruled out Sunday. He cleared health and safety protocols initially on Saturday, but has been placed right back into them a day later. The Hornets should continue to lean more on Mason Plumlee with Nick Richards seeing time as a big off the bench, but the potential return of Miles Bridges could muddy the water a little as it would allow the Hornets to play a little smaller at times.

Jayson Tatum

Boston Celtics
1/02/22, 5:56 PM ET

Jayson Tatum, Brodric Thomas, Robert Williams ruled out Sunday; Dennis Schroder will play

Tatum and Williams won’t play Sunday, opening the door for Jaylen Brown and Al Horford to step into more responsibility – both become elite targets on this slate. Marcus Smart also benefits some, but Dennis Schroder’s return does eat into things a bit although Schroder may not immediately step back into normal minutes. Brodric Thomas also joins Tatum and Williams on the inactive list.

Other tagged players: Robert Williams III, Brodric Thomas, Dennis Schroder

KZ Okpala

Sacramento Kings
1/02/22, 5:43 PM ET

KZ Okpala (wrist) ruled out Sunday

Okpala won’t play Sunday, which is not much of a surprise. He’s not much of a factor with Jimmy Butler back, and Okpala’s court time will be soaked up by Butler, Caleb Martin and the slew of new Heat signings on the wing.

Romeo Langford

Philadelphia 76ers
1/02/22, 5:13 PM ET

Romeo Langford (non-COVID illness) ruled out Sunday

We’re still waiting on Jayson Tatum’s status in addition to Robert Williams and Dennis Schroder, but Langford has been ruled out Sunday. Josh Richardson should eat up a decent chunk of Langford’s work, with the starting wings also potentially eating up a little more.

Caris LeVert

Milwaukee Bucks
1/02/22, 4:56 PM ET

Caris LeVert and Goga Bitadze both enter health and safety protocols, out Sunday

LeVert and Bitadze will join a growing list of Pacers on the health and safety protocols inactive list. Domantas Sabonis becomes an even stronger play in all formats, and fellow big Myles Turner could be a little more involved offensively. Justin Holiday’s role should be a little more expanded in terms of his involvement offensively as well, especially with the outlook of the guard/wing rotation. The Pacers will be down to Duane Washington, Keifer Sykes, Lance Stephenson, Nate Hinton and Ahmad Cavar at the guard spot, with Washington likely being the safest target of that group.

Evan Fournier

Detroit Pistons
1/02/22, 4:50 PM ET

Evan Fournier (ankle) will start Sunday

Evan Fournier (ankle) will start Sunday. He shouldn’t be limited at all, but his playing time does tend to vary more than most of the Knicks starters. Given that they remain pretty shorthanded, his role should be more secure than usual.

Mo Bamba

Utah Jazz
1/02/22, 2:58 PM ET

Mo Bamba (conditioning), Mychal Mulder (conditioning), and Hassani Gravett (conditioning) available to play Sunday

Aaron Gordon

Denver Nuggets
1/01/22, 8:10 PM ET

Aaron Gordon, Austin Rivers available to play Saturday

Both Gordon and Rivers are available to play Saturday against the Rockets. The Nuggets are still pretty shorthanded even with these two in the lineup, so it’s possible both play normal or even a little more than they’d typically be allotted. Denver’s bench is as thin as it’s been in awhile.

Other tagged players: Austin Rivers

Eric Gordon

Memphis Grizzlies
1/01/22, 7:18 PM ET

Eric Gordon ruled out Saturday

Gordon was doubtful, so no surprise here. With him out of the lineup, Kevin Porter Jr. and Jalen Green should soak up some of what he leaves behind with Armoni Brooks, Josh Christopher and David Nwaba all potentially picking up more playing time.

Josh Hart

New York Knicks
1/01/22, 7:05 PM ET

Josh Hart will play and start Saturday

Hart will play and start Saturday. The Pels will roll with Graham, Temple, Hart, Jones and Hernangomez against the Bucks. Hart is a very strong GPP play and both Devonte Graham and Nickeil Alexander-Walker are more intriguing targets, with Willy Hernangomez’s ceiling also spiking.
