Zaza Pachulia (wrist) upgraded to questionable for Saturday; David West (hip) listed as doubtful
Zaza Pachulia has been upgraded after missing the past four games due to a wrist injury. JaVale McGee really stepped up in place of Pachulia and scored a season-high 17 actual points. McGee has yet to play over 16 minutes but he is trending in the right direction. The return of Pachulia will likely send McGee back to the bench and it’ll be unlikely that he sees over 12-15 minutes from that role. The injury to David West could open up some more minutes for McGee but he’s simply a GPP option off the bench. He’s shown that he can score 20+ fantasy points from a bench role and will need to see over 15 minutes to achieve that.

Rudy Gay (hip) officially ruled out; Ben McLemore (quad) upgraded to probable
Rudy Gay will not play against the Grizzlies tonight. This will be the second consecutive game that Gay misses. In his absence, Omri Casspi is expected to start but it is also possible Matt Barnes could start in place of Gay since Casspi did not have a strong performance in his last start. Casspi will likely have a tough time but could exploit JaMychal Green if he stays out on the perimeter. Matt Barnes should definitely be considered because he will be facing his former team. As we all know, Barnes is a GPP option that has rarely proved consistent enough for cash games but should be able to exceed value tonight with Gay out of the lineup. Ben McLemore could return to his starting role and that could hurt the prospects of Garrett Temple. If Temple starts, he’ll have to deal with Tony Allen, if McLemore starts, Temple could have all the second unit usage. We’ll post another alert regarding who is starting for the Kings tonight.

Evans absence was expected as the team is going to be patient bring him back and he’ll likely be limited initially, especially when facing back-to-back games. The Frazier news is interesting as he appeared more doubtful than questionable with Langston Galloway and Buddy Hield continuing to benefit from his absence. If Frazier is somehow able to go, we’ll report back as soon as we learn of it.

Ben McLemore will play tonight for Kings
Updating our previous report, McLemore has told local media that he feels good and will play tonight. He’s not a viable DFS option but is a slight hit to the value of the likes of Garrett Temple and Ty Lawson.

The Lakers big man has missed the teams last five games with an ankle injury but should play tonight. He’s not a viable DFS option and will be a slight hit to the minutes of Julius Randle and Timofey Mozgov.

All signs are pointing to quicker than expected return for the Grizzlies PG as he went from out to doubtful to taking part in the team shootaround all in the span of a day. The team also sent Wade Baldwin to their D-league team and waived Toney Douglas leaving them extremely thin at the PG position (which means he’s more likely to play than not). If for some reason he can’t go, Andrew Harrison is going to get all the minutes he can handle (which he still might as Conley’s minutes could be limited).

The Clippers forward missed practice yesterday and is doubtful for their game tonight against the Heat. The Clippers will probably continue to run small with Austin Rivers starting in Mbah a Moute’s absence.

Nothing shocking here as it was expected that KCP would play. He’s struggled of late but could be a sneaky GPP option tonight against the Wizards.

Embiid collided with Dario Saric in practice yesterday and has been downgraded to questionable – this certainly puts his playing status in doubt for tonight and it’s something we’ll closely monitor heading into tip off. Saric is probable as is Nerlens Noel, who could see more playing time if Embiid can’t go.

He’s missed the last three games for Orlando and is listed as questionable but the team has said he will give it a go tonight. He’ll likely continue to run with the second unit but has high usage and a good match up (their opponent, the Nets, are 29th in C DvP) so he’s in play, although it’s risky with the injury concerns.

While listed as questionable, the Raptors coaching staff has stated that Noguiera should play tonight against the Raptors. Averaging less than 20 minutes per game and not having high usage, he’s not a viable DFS option.

Pachulia will not play in tonight’s game against the New York Knicks after previously being listed as doubtful on the Warriors’ injury report with a right wrist contusion. This will be the third consecutive game Pachulia will be sidelined with the aforementioned wrist ailment. JaVale McGee will draw the start at center once again in his absence, though he remains a starter in name only after seeing just 16 minutes in his previous start. The absence of Pachulia, secures additional minutes for Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala in the Warriors’ small ball lineup and Green sees a nice boost in expected fantasy value given the extra playing time he will see at center. The only downside with Green, Iguodala, and the rest of the Golden State starters is the substantial blowout risk against this depleted Knicks squad. All Warriors need to be reserved for tournament use only this evening.
