Tim Frazier (wrist) will play against the Rockets tonight
Tim Frazier will play tonight against his hometown team. Frazier was playing well before getting injured and his original timeline was 7-10 days. He can easily get injured again and should be considered a risky GPP point for tonight’s full slate. With the Rockets large favorites for tonight’s game, Frazier could play when the game is out of hand. He’s been extremely hot, scoring under 30 DraftKings fantasy points only once in his last five games. He also had a huge 60 point triple-double but that was in an uptempo overtime game against the Suns.

Tarik Black (ankle) listed as active for tonight; expected to play off the bench tonight
Tarik Black is expected to return to the lineup tonight for the Lakers after missing 5 games due to an ankle injury. Black was averaging 16.85 DraftKings fantasy points over his last 12 games before getting injured. Black could be on a minutes restriction make him a high-risk low-reward option for tonight. With so many games on the slate, Black is not a mandatory play.

Conley will play in tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings, but he will be on an unspecified minutes restriction based on his pain tolerance, according to Grizzlies coach David Fizdale. This obviously removes Conley from consideration entirely, as he could leave the game at any point if he experiences significant back pain. Outside of Marc Gasol, there really aren’t any Grizzlies worth aggressively targeting, other than a speculative tournament dart throw on Andrew Harrison in the event that Conley cannot play his expected minute allotment, whatever that may be.

Harris, Chandler, and Arthur have all been listed as probable for tomorrow night’s game against the New York Knicks despite playing their expected complement of minutes in Thursday’s contest. This is likely just a precautionary measure by the Nuggets and all three players should be fully expected to suit up Saturday. If anything changes, we will definitely keep you updated.

Okafor and Embiid will start alongside each other for the second time this season. Embiid was not as effective in his 27 minutes against the Raptors but should be better against the Lakers tonight. Jahlil Okafor will likely continue to start at C while Embiid starts at PF. Both players have exploitable matchups but since Okafor is cheaper he has the more attainable salary-based expectations. After Embiid’s last couple games, expect his ownership to be lower than usual.

Johnson is a late scratch from the lineup and will not play in tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers due to an illness. With Dion Waiters also ruled out for Miami, Goran Dragic looks to be an intriguing point guard option this evening given the potential minute bump, even in a less than ideal matchup with Chris Paul. In fact, Dragic owns a 33.2% usage rate with the duo of Johnson and Waiters off the court this season, which is a 4.5% increase over his season average. Not only does Dragic see the extra usage in their absence, but he has been converting on the additional opportunities, recording nearly 0.25 fantasy points per minute more than his average rate.

Embiid has been upgraded to probable for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers as he deals with a left knee contusion and several other minor ailments. Embiid seems to be on track to play Friday and will likely start at center alongside Jahlil Okafor for a second consecutive game. As for Nerlens Noel, he looks less likely to play in tonight’s game after being downgraded from probable to questionable. His absence from the rotation would free up additional minutes for the likes of Ersan Ilyasova and Dario Saric, though it’s tough to trust either, even in tournaments, with The Process and Okafor both active and playing their normal minute allotment.

Lucas Nogueira aka Bebe will rejoin the Raptors tonight after missing one game due to a knee injury. Nogueira was actually playing well before missing that game and was averaging 20.95 DraftKings fantasy points in his last six games. He played 20 minutes in all but two of those games and his return should have a slight impact on Jonas Valanciunas. Valanciunas played 34 minutes, more than he has in the last 12 games. Look out his minutes to dip again with Bebe back.

Hamilton will not play in tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic due to persistent migraines. Hamilton was a surprise a late scratch after not being listed on the Nets injury report earlier in the day. This opens up some extra minutes for Anthony Bennett and Luis Scola in theory, though it remains to be seen if they’re actually able to take advantage of the additional opportunity, as neither player has exceeded 15 minutes of playing time in the previous games Hamilton has missed. It’s safe to avoid both Bennett and Scola in all formats this evening.

Casspi will not play in tonight’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies due to an illness. Rudy Gay has also already been ruled out the by the Kings, so that leaves Anthony Tolliver and Matt Barnes as the most likely candidates to draw the start at small forward, though nothing has yet to be confirmed at the time of this writing. Assuming Barnes is out of Kings coach Dave Joerger’s doghouse, both he and Tolliver are in play for tournaments this evening. Even though DeMarcus Cousins will likely see a ton of Marc Gasol defense, he still remains an elite option in all formats, as he has recorded an insane 45.5% usage rate with Gay and Casspi off the court this season, which is 7.4% higher than his season average.

Thomas will play and start in tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets and is not expected to be on a minutes restriction, according to Celtics coach Brad Stevens. His return to the Celtics’ lineup removes Marcus Smart and Terry Rozier from fantasy consideration for the foreseeable future. Both players’ fantasy relevance are tied solely to in an injury the Celtics starting unit and should be avoided in all formats until further notice.

Jeremy Lin will not be starting against the Magic tonight. He is dealing with a back injury but does not have a restriction on his minutes. Lin returned from a hamstring injury earlier this week and played 20 minutes. He was able to score 28.3 DraftKings points in the limited minutes and should be a strong under-owned option in a game that is expected to be high scoring tonight. Isaiah Whitehead is not a strong fantasy option even when starting.

Vucevic will play in tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets after being sidelined for the Magic’s previous three games with due to a sore lower back. Vooch will also be a full go and not have a minutes restriction for tonight’s contest. His return to the lineup is a slight knock to the fantasy value players on the second unit like Elfried Payton and Jeff Green, as they will lose any extra usage they might have gained had Vucevic been unable to suit up. However, a matchup with the Nets is about as good as it gets for a team, so Vucevic, Payton, and basically every other regular Magic rotation player are in play and are fine options this evening.

Morris will play and start in tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons after being sidelined for the Wizards previous game due to a sore left foot. His return from a one-game absence will send Kelly Oubre back to bench to resume a reserve role. Morris’ minutes definitely seem secure for tonight’s Morris Bowl, but it’s certainly a situation to keep our eye on, as the small ball lineup with Oubre and Otto Porter has been extremely successful thus far for Washington, and they seem keen on continuing to utilize it frequently going forward.

Aminu has officially been listed as doubtful for tomorrow night’s game against the Golden State Warriors due to a lower back contusion that has caused him to be sidelined for two consecutive games. Noah Vonleh will draw the start at power forward once again in his absence, though it’s been nearly impossible to predict Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts’ rotation at power forward sans Aminu regardless of starter. It will be tough to pull the trigger on any of Portland’s power forwards in a less than ideal matchup with Draymond Green and the Warriors efficient defense.
