Chicago Bulls injury report for tonight
Bulls Head Coach Fred Hoiberg hopes that Derrick Rose will be able to play tonight while E’Twaun Moore will be a game-time decision. Taj Gibson is doubtful to play. While Bobby Portis will likely get the start if Gibson sits, it is Nikola Mirotic who is the player to target as he has thrived with 29+ FanDuel fpts in three of his last four games including two that topped 38 fpts with Gibson out. If Rose sits, Jimmy Butler and Pau Gasol see a nice increase in usage and are excellent options tonight. We’ll update you on the status of these three prior to tip-off of their game against the Grizzlies.

Carmelo Anthony will play tomorrow
Anthony stated today that he will play the next three games and then see how he feels heading into the last week of the season. Given recent news about Anthony’s playing time reduced, he’s probably best avoided given that uncertainty. If anything changes regarding Anthony’s status prior to tip-off tomorrow, we’ll update you as soon as we learn of it.

The Knicks star rookie did not practice today and is unlikely to play tomorrow per team sources. It wouldn’t be surprising if the team just shut him down for the year. Derrick Williams benefits most from Porzingis sitting – we’ll update you tomorrow when we get official word.

Irving will go through shoot around before determining if he can play tonight when his team takes on the Milwaukee Bucks. If he is unable to go, Matthew Dellavedova would likely start again in his place. When Irving sat out Sunday’s game, Dellavedova put up 22.5 FanDuel fpts in 30 minutes of playing time. At near minimum price on both major sites, he’d be an excellent value option if he gets another start. We’ll update you on Irving when we learn more.

Lowry sat out Saturday and with the NBA having a day off yesterday he has had plenty of time to rest up. As such, Raptors Head Coach Casey stated that Lowry would play tonight when they take on the Charlotte Hornets. Kemba Walker is a decent defender as the Hornets are 11th in PG DvP and there are better match ups out there at the PG position tonight. Given Lowry’s struggles of late (he hasn’t topped 40 FanDuel fpts in his last six games and has three outings less than 30) he’s a player probably best avoided tonight.

Nerlens Noel was hopeful he could play today but the 76ers Head Coach stated that him and Richaun Holmes were both likely out for their game today against the Pelicans. Jerami Grant and Carl Landry have both produced well the last two games with that duo out and are good mid-range targets at PF today against a New Orleans team missing their best two PF’s. Grant is the preferred option of the two as his playing time is more reliable (as evidenced by his 35+ minutes last game out).

There were some reports this weekend that Burks could play on Tuesday but the Jazz are listing him as out. He has not played since December so there are no DFS implications here.

Boris Diaw (soreness) out for the next 3 games
Boris Diaw did not travel with the team and has been ruled out of the next three games. Diaw was only a DFS option when other Spurs were out of the lineup. David West will play the backup big man minutes but is also a high-risk low-reward option on Tuesday.

Middleton missed his first game of the season on Sunday and is being listed as questionable for Tuesday. Damien Inglis replaced him in the starting lineup but only played 9 minutes. Inglis is not a viable option against the Cavs. Jerryd Bayless is doubtful and Rashad Vaughn has been starting in his place over the last two games. Vaughn saw 29 minutes on Sunday and put up 1935 fantasy points. Vaughn should be considered a viable low-end option against Cleveland. Giannis Antetokounmpo has been doing all the heavy lifting for the Bucks, scoring 60.8 and 56.3 fantasy points in the last two games. Antetokounmpo is averaging 42.03 fpts in three meetings with the Cavs this season, making him a nice cash game play.

Omri Casspi will be out against the Blazers on Tuesday. With the Kings resting a bunch of players, James Anderson has seen the biggest boost in minutes. Anderson had 30 DKFP on Saturday against the Nuggets and figures to see over 20 minutes again on Tuesday. Since it is a home game for the Kings, there is a possibility that DeMarcus Cousins plays. If Cousins plays Anderson has no DFS value.

Pierce has missed the past three games with an ankle injury and is doubtful to play against the Lakers. Pierce could play on Wednesday if the Clippers decide to rest their starters. No official word has been given but the Clippers don’t have much to play for. Look for an update regarding Pierce tomorrow.

Nance has been ruled out of the first leg of the back-to-back with the Clippers. He will be playing on Wednesday in the home-and-home rematch. Nance is averaging 20.7 DKFP over his last three appearances, making him a nice tournament option if the Clippers sit their starters. The Lakers want to take a look at their youth so Nance could play over 25 minutes on Wednesday at a minimum level salary across the industry. He is still dealing with sore knees but has the upside that we need for tournaments.

Bogut and Iguodala were both able to practice Monday but are uncertain for Tuesday’s game. With the Warriors hosting the Timberwolves, this could be a prime spot for Bogut and Iguodala to rest again. Festus Ezeli started in Bogut’s place on Sunday, scoring 5.3 fpts in 9 minutes. Mo Speights played 13 minutes and Anderson Varejao only saw 7 minutes on the court. All three players are low-end fantasy options but could see some extra minutes with the Wolves playing two legit big men. Speights has the most upside but relies heavily on scoring for his fantasy output.

Rose is questionable for Tuesday after missing the past two games with a hyperextended elbow. E’Twaun Moore has been starting in Rose’s place for both those games, returning 5x on his salary. Moore is a viable but low-end punt option against the Grizzlies. Butler and Gasol took advantage of Rose’s absence on Sunday with both players putting up 40+ fantasy points. If Rose misses again on Tuesday, Butler and Gasol will be elite options against a depleted Grizzlies squad.

Noel is questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Pelicans. Noel has been questionable for the last six games but missed all of them with a sore knee. Carl Landry has started in his place for all those games, averaging 26.1 fantasy points in about 23 minutes. Landry’s salary has spiked slightly for Tuesday but he is still a viable punt option against New Orleans. Confirm that Noel is out the lineup before locking Landry in.
