Andre Roberson will return and start tonight; Dion Waiters to bench
After missing significant time due to injury, Andre Roberson will return and start for the Thunder tonight. He won’t be DFS relevant immediately but his return has a very negative impact on Dion Waiters whose main value was in logging 30+ minutes at a cheap price tag. Without the minutes, Waiters is now a player to avoid.

Larry Nance "might" play tonight
Word yesterday was that the Lakers might shut down Nance for the remainder of the season but now reports are coming out that he might actually play today against the Grizzlies. It’ll be a wait and see approach for today’s game and we’ll get back as soon as there is more definitive news but if he does play it’ll dip into the minutes of Julius Randle who has been playing well with the extended playing time he’s been getting with Nance out.

Allen was doubtful yesterday and remains so heading into the Grizzlies game with the Lakers. Allen hasn’t been playing a ton of minutes lately so his loss isn’t that relevant but Mario Chalmers, Vince Carter, and Lance Stephenson should all receive a slight bump in minutes if Allen is unable to play with Carter likely receiving the biggest boost. We’ll update Allen’s status later today when more information comes in

He was never in danger of not playing but Heat Head Coach Spoelstra verified that he would play tonight. Deng has been on fire of late scoring just over 129 FanDuel fantasy points in his last three games. He’s still priced at $5,800 on FD and $6,100 on DK and is in consideration as both a cash game and GPP play tonight when the Heat take on the Warriors in what is expected to be a high-scoring game.

He won’t be fantasy relevant initially but it’ll be interesting to see how Steve Kerr uses him in the rotation. He could become a viable option down the road if he gets some playing time.

Shumpert continues to remain out with a shoulder injury while Williams will be available to spell Kyrie Irving off the bench. It’s a slight bump in minutes for Matthew Dellavedova and J.R. Smith but not enough to be significant for DFS purposes. Williams is not in play due to not getting enough run off the bench.

T.J. McConnell had to leave tonight’s game with an ankle injury and will most likely not play tomorrow. McConnell did not have much DFS value for Wednesday. Isaiah Canaan will make for a solid punt option against the Pistons. Canaan played 20 minutes tonight and had 12 points and four rebounds.

Josh Smith to make second consecutive start tonight
Josh Smith will be starting again for the Rockets. Smith played 23 minutes in his previous start but was not a factor at all. Smith shot 1-7 and only had three rebounds. Smith should be avoided tonight against the Jazz.
Rajon Rondo and Ben McLemore confirmed as starting tonight
Rajon Rondo and Ben McLemore were both probable heading into tonight’s contest with the Nuggets. Both players have been confirmed as starting and Rondo should be considered an elite play at PG tonight. Rondo scored 61.5 FPs against the Nuggets last Friday and should be able to exceed value again tonight. Rondo should be able to boost his value tonight with defensive stats and has a chance to put up a triple-double.

Shelvin Mack will be making his first start for the Utah Jazz tonight and should be considered an elite punt option. If Mack was not on your radar today, he should be in your lineup for the late slate. Mack is coming off a 30.75 FPs night on DK, so he will most likely be a chalky punt play tonight.

Jameer Nelson will be on the active roster tonight, available to play. While he is not guaranteed any minutes, his availability puts a huge damper on the value of D.J. Augustin. Augustin was an elite punt option on DK but now will more than likely have to be subbed out. Nelson is the primary backup PG and will likely see about 15-20 minutes if he plays.

JaKarr Sampson will be making his Nuggets debut tonight but is not much of a DFS option. Sampson should only be considered when Kenneth Faried misses a game.

Stanley Johnson will likely miss multiple weeks due to his shoulder injury. Johnson was playing well recently but was relegated back to the bench with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope back in the starting lineup. KCP will likely see over 32 minutes a night with Johnson out of the lineup.

After a trade sent Tobias Harris to the Pistons, Aaron Gordon has appeared to have locked up the starting PF role for the Magic and has begun to see more consistent minutes because of that. Over his last five games Gordon is averaging over 35 DK points per game and has been performing much more consistently than he was earlier in the season when he was at the whim of Scott Skiles’ mood swings. Because of this he has slowly moved out of the GPP-only category and is now reliable enough to at least be considered for cash games as well. He gets a great matchup tonight with the Sixers who have been dreadful against big men this season, 28th in DvP vs. PFs. Gordon is extremely athletic as a PF as evidenced by the dunk contest, and the Sixers could really struggle to defend his dynamic athletic ability. He is a solid play at PF tonight and hopefully he can hit value fairly easily tonight.
Danilo Gallinari is a top play at SF tonight
Danilo Gallinari and the Denver Nuggets draw the lucky straw tonight in their matchup vs. the Kings. This game has by far the biggest over/under of the night at 222.5 and with only a 1.5-point spread, that is basically Vegas saying we need to have some exposure to this game. It is really a battle of two poor defensive teams, and the clear top offensive option on the Nuggets is Danilo Gallinari. The Kings really struggle to defend SFs, but also SGs, PFs, Cs, and PGs…they struggle to defend anyone! However, as the top option on the Nuggets Gallinari makes for a great target tonight. He is reasonably priced at $7,100 on both DK and FD, and is one of the top SF options to reach value tonight. The Kings especially struggle to defend wing players in transition, and that is part of the game where Gallinari thrives. Gallinari has a transition eFG% of 71.2% compared to an eFG% of 47.6% last year (thanks to Adam Levitan and Jacob Gibbs on Twitter for these stats) which basically shows his effectiveness in transition this season. In what is expected to be an up-and-down game with a lot of fast breaks, Gallinari is a top option at SF tonight.
