Jimmy Butler to miss next 3-4 weeks
The Bulls All-Star SG is out for the next 3-4 weeks with his strained left knee including missing the All-Star game. It’s a big hit for the Bulls and one that will mean increased usage for Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol in the upcoming weeks. E’Twaun Moore should continue to log big minutes with Butler out as well.

Kobe Bryant questionable, Roy Hibbert probable for Lakers game on Wednesday
Hibbert is probable for the Lakers game tomorrow after missing the last game due to an ankle injury. Bryant, as is usually the case this season, is listed as questionable. We’ll update the status of both of these players tomorrow when the situation becomes more defined.

Neal is out tonight after missing shootaround with a leg injury. He’s only been playing about 15 minutes a game with the return of Bradley Beal so he wasn’t in play as a DFS option – however this is a good thing for those considering rostering Bradley Beal who stated he expected to play 30 minutes earlier today. That number looks like a sure thing now and Beal is one of the top SG options of the night. It also will mean a slight uptick in minutes for Garrett Temple but he’s not someone to consider using.

Beal stated he would start and play around 30 minutes tonight when the Wizards take on the Knicks. On a night with tough match ups, Beal is in play at the SG position given this news and his current price tag ($6K on FD and $6.1K on DK). Beal has averaged over a fpt/minute since returning from injury which would get him to 5x value if he does go 30 minutes tonight. This news also is a slight hit to Garrett Temple who should see a reduction in playing time.

Hilario, who was listed as questionable, stated that he would play today but that it would likely be limited in terms of how much he does play. Given this statement, he’s not a viable DFS option, even on a small five game slate.

Duncan had been listed as questionable but as expected he will be out tonight for the Spurs when they take on the Heat. It’s expected to be a low scoring, one-sided affair and his backups aren’t viable DFS options but it does give a slight uptick to Hassan Whiteside as the Spurs have struggled against bigs with their future Hall-of-Famer out of the lineup.

Luol Deng and Udonis Haslem both missed shootaround and are considered questionable to play tonight in the Heat’s game against the Spurs. Hassan Whiteside went through shootaround and is considered a game-time decision but Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra stated that he was encouraged by what he saw. Whiteside is the only viable DFS option of the three going against a Spurs team that has struggled against bigs of late with Tim Duncan out. We’ll update you on the status of these three as we learn more later today.

Harris continues to be out for the Mavs and will likely be out through the All-Star Break. J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton will continue to split his minutes but neither are viable DFS options tonight against the Utah Jazz in a game that has a paltry 183 total.

Meyer Leonard looks to be starting tonight for the Trail Blazers. Coach Terry Stotts did not tell any of the media members and the information was read off the scoreboard. So barring any last minute changes we should expect Leonard to start against the Grizzlies. Stotts likely wanted to go with size tonight against Zach Randolph and Marc Gasol. Leonard makes for an elite punt option and a great late-swap option on DK.

Evan Fournier starting again for the injured Tobias Harris
Evan Fournier will be making his second consecutive start for the injured Tobias Harris. Harris is nursing an injured ankle as well as a deep cut above his eye. Fournier has been playing well lately and is averaging 37.5 minutes in his last two games. Even though it is a small sample size it does mean that he could be tired on the second night of a back-to-back. Fournier is a tournament option only tonight.

D’Angelo Russell is on the active roster and is expected to play tonight. Russell was coming in dealing with a groin injury but was moving around well in warmups. With the Lakers playing in the early game there will be no more information in regards to Russell.

Marc Gasol was questionable coming into tonight but is now expected to start. Gasol will be a low-owned option and should be considered elite against the Trail Blazers. There is a risk that he might be limited so Gasol is a tournament option only.

Tobias Harris has been ruled out of tonight’s contest with an ankle injury. Look for Evan Fournier to start again in his place. The Magic played the Hawks last night and will play them again tonight. Fournier is a solid punt option and will look for his third consecutive 30 FPs night.
As reported by: KL Chouinard Noah Vonleh ruled out, Allen Crabbe will play Monday
Noah Vonleh has been ruled out of Monday’s game, while Allen Crabbe will suit up. Terry Stotts’ wild starting lineups makes it hard to count on a particular starter, but Moe Harkless has gotten the nod the last two nights and will presumably start again tonight, although he’s not a recommended DFS option against Memphis. Crabbe should be back to seeing minutes in the mid-twenties, while Gerald Henderson’s court time may fall slightly.

Brook Lopez has a high ceiling in a matchup vs. Denver
Brook Lopez has a great matchup vs. Denver today who struggles to guard opposing centers, and he has a very high upside for his price. On DraftKings Lopez is underpriced at only $7,800, but he is likely a bit overpriced on FanDuel at $8,700. With that being said, he is a great option on either site as he has one of the highest floors for centers on this slate. There are so many center options that it might be beneficial to play the two center approach on DraftKings tonight. Lopez has really been playing well over the last week and a half posting over 42 DK points in five of his last nine games, but he has also had some duds sprinkled in there too. He does have the ability to come out tonight and explode for a 60 DK point game, but he also has the potential to post 25 or 30 DK points. Lopez is affected significantly more than others when a blowout occurs, but the good news is it’s only a two point spread for tonight’s game so it should be a good game. If this one stays close like Vegas expects it to, look for Lopez to have a nice outing.
