Julius Randle will start Sunday
There was some talk earlier in the day that Randle could come off the bench Sunday, but he will start tonight against the Hornets. Larry Nance was rumored to slide into the starting lineup, but he is out tonight. Randle is coming off a monster game against the Clippers; he finished with 23 points and 14 rebounds. He still has a nice price for his recent production; he is just $6,100 on DK and $6,000 on FD. Randle should be a great play in all formats today, but remember that is the Lakers and Byron Scott.

T.J. Warren out Sunday
Warren won’t play Sunday because of a sore ankle. With this news fire up P.J. Tucker in your cash games. He was getting close to 35 minutes a game recently, but without Warren he could play in the 40s today. Over his last four games, he is averaging 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists per game. You like that he is filling up the stat sheet. He is just $5,000 on FD and $5,300 on DK. Sonny Weems will also see some extra minutes, but he is not a fantasy option.

The Wizards will be matching the small ball lineup of the Rockets and move Jared Dudley into the starting lineup. Nene will come off the bench and will have minimal impact now. Dudley should make for a good late-swap option on DK in an uptempo game.

Rudy Gay (eye) starting on Saturday
Rudy Gay will return to the lineup after missing a game with an eye injury. Rudy Gay faces his former team and could have a big game tonight. Gay is a tournament option only due to his low floor and elevated salary. Omri Casspi will go back to the bench with Gay returning.

David West will be starting for Tim Duncan tonight. West is a mid-range option with decent upside. The Spurs will need West to have a solid game against the Cavs on Saturday. David West should only be used in tournaments as Popovich limits him to about 24 minutes.

As we reported earlier, Tyreke Evans is out. He was originally listed as out then changed to doubtful but has been confirmed out now. Bryce Dejean-Jones will make his second career start and is a viable punt play. Dejean-Jones expectations should be limited due to Anthony Davis being in the lineup.

Nicolas Batum has already been ruled out of Sunday’s contest with the Lakers. Jeremy Lamb and Jeremy Lin are both questionable with their injuries. If Lamb and Lin were to miss the game, Troy Daniels could see a huge amount of minutes and would be an elite punt option.

Joffrey Lauvergne will be active tonight but is not much of a DFS option tonight. With Nikola Jokic playing well and the other Nuggets big men available, Lauvergne won’t see a ton of minutes. Jokic is a really strong option tonight against the Pacers.

Clint Capela will be playing tonight with an injured thigh. With the Rockets going small and starting Ariza with Brewer, all the backup big men for the Rockets will have diminished role. Capela is not a viable option tonight and should be avoided till his salary drops further.

Jordan Hill will be starting for the injured Ian Mahinmi. Hill had a huge game the last time he started for Mahinmi and should be used in lineups tonight. The Nuggets are terrible at defending big men and Hill should have his way tonight. Hill is a tournament option only due to the chance of him busting.

Ian Mahinmi is dealing with a sore back and has been ruled out of tonight’s contest. Jordan Hill will take his place in the lineup and should put up a strong showing against Denver. Lavoy Allen will also get some run tonight as Myles Turner is the other starter.

Kevin Garnett and Kevin Martin are both doubtful again with their injuries. Zach LaVine and Gorgui Dieng have been white hot replacing the Kevins and should keep it up against Portland on Sunday. It will be interesting to see how much their salaries jump after consecutive strong outings.

Anthony Tolliver will be making his first start of the season tonight for the injured Ersan Ilyasova. Tolliver has been a regular rotational player and could see an extra 5-10 minutes in the starting position. Tolliver does not present a ton of upside and should only be used in tournaments as an under-owned play. Reggie Jackson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope have been confirmed as playing.

Marco Belinelli has been ruled out of tonight’s contest with the Grizzlies. Look for Darren Collison to pick up some extra minutes in Belinelli’s absence. Collison presents some upside and his salary has fallen quite a bit and is the lowest it has been this month. If Ben McLemore is struggling look for George Karl to go to a two-PG lineup with Collison and Rondo.

Reggie Jackson was listed as questionable due to dehydration but it looks like he will play. It will be interesting to see if Jackson sits an extra few minutes opening the door for Brandon Jennings. Both Jennings and Jackson are tournament plays only against the Raptors tonight.
