Michael Kidd-Gilchrist’s return makes him a viable option yet again
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist returned to action on Friday almost a month ahead of schedule after a shoulder surgery put him on the rack for the first half of the season. He put up a respectable 13 points and seven rebounds in 34 minutes in his return, as it appears he is not skipping a beat. There is obviously not a minutes limit on MKG, and he is especially enticing on DraftKings at a mere $3,700. He is $5,500 on FanDuel, but the price on DraftKings is just crazy considering he played 34 minutes last game. Normally DK has tighter pricing than does FD, but in this situation MKG is almost a must-play on DK. If he sees anywhere near the amount of minutes he saw last game, he is a great candidate to at least reach value in a matchup vs. the lowly Lakers. Go ahead and plug Kidd-Gilchrist into your DraftKings lineups, and while he is not as valuable on FD, he does make for a viable option on FD as well.
Devin Harris out Sunday
Harris will miss his fourth straight game with a toe injury. With him out J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton will split the minutes. With Dirk Nowitzki also out tonight, both should see around 25-30 minutes tonight. Of the two, Barea is the better DFS option. He is averaging 25 FD points over his last three games.

Dirk Nowitzki out Sunday
Nowitzki will rest Sunday and miss the game against the Suns. Charlie Villanueva will most likely start for Nowitzki. In the last three games that Nowitzki has missed, Villanueva is averaging 20 minutes and 17 FD points per game. Dwight Powell has played 25 and 32 minutes with Nowitzki out in two games, however he did play only 3 minutes in the other one. Both are GPP punt plays only. There are much better options at PF on this slate. The last two games without Nowitzki, Chandler Parsons has really stepped up his game, he is averaging 38 FD points per game.
As reported by: Earl Sneed Julius Randle is a solid play with Larry Nance Jr. out
After a couple of games back, Larry Nance Jr. has been ruled out of tonight’s game with his knee injury. This leaves Julius Randle to start yet again in his place and Randle has performed well as a starter. Coming off of a big 23 point 14 rebound performance vs. the Clippers on Friday, Randle will look to take advantage of the undermanned bigs of the Charlotte Hornets tonight who are 27th in DvP vs. PFs. The biggest problem with Randle in DFS is the fact that Byron Scott is his coach. You never know what you will get from Coach Scott and even though Randle would produce while he was in, it was difficult to trust him because he rarely played over 30 minutes. Well with Nance Jr. out, it almost forces Scott’s hand into playing Randle 30+ minutes and we should look to take advantage of that. With that being said, you still never know what you are going to get from Scott, but we can trust that Randle has a much better chance of seeing 30 minutes tonight with Nance Jr. out.
PJ Tucker is a great cash game option with TJ Warren out
PJ and TJ see the majority of the minutes at SF for the Suns, but with TJ Warren ruled out for tonight’s game with a sore ankle, PJ Tucker will see all the minutes he can handle tonight vs. the Mavericks. Tucker is averaging over 35 minutes a game in his last ten, and it is not unreasonable for him to see 40+ minutes tonight because of Warren’s injury. While the matchup vs. the Mavericks isn’t super appealing, anytime we can get a player that will play this much under $5,500 makes him perfect for cash games. You know what they (or we) say, minutes=opportunity=production. Tucker will have plenty of opportunity tonight to produce for a depleted Suns team.
Paul Millsap will play Sunday
Millsap will play Sunday, despite leaving last game early with an ankle injury. For the 1st time in a while Millsap isn’t really a safe cash game play. He makes for a great GPP play tonight. His ownership will be low due to the matchup with the Heat and the slight injury concern. He gets a slight bump up with Hassan Whiteside being out for the Heat.

Whiteside will miss his 5th straight game on Sunday, because of an oblique injury. Amar’e Stoudemire will start again for Whiteside. He is coming off his best game of the season in which he had 25 FD points in 24 minutes against the Bucks. He is a GPP punt play only; he is just too inconsistent. He is $4,200 on DK and $3,900 on FD. Of course the big usage bump goes to Chris Bosh. In the four games without Whiteside, he is averaging 35 FD points per game. Bosh is a very safe cash game play. Johnson will miss his second straight game with a shoulder injury. This doesn’t have a big fantasy impact as Beno Udrih and Gerald Green will split his minutes.

Pierce rested on Friday, but he will return to the starting lineup on Sunday. He is not a DFS option. With Pierce starting, Wesley Johnson will return to the bench. He is still only a GPP punt play only.

Duncan will miss another game Monday because of a sore right knee. David West will continue to start but is a GPP punt play only. Boris Diaw, Kyle Anderson and Boban Marjanovic will all see some extra minutes with Duncan out, both aren’t really DFS options. Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge will continue to see more usage on offense.

Butler will play Sunday, despite tweaking his ankle yesterday in practice. He is coming off a monster game against the Lakers in which he had 55 FD points in 31 minutes. By all accounts he isn’t on any kind on minute’s restriction. As his price continues to rise, he is becoming tougher to fit in for cash games. He is a great GPP play Sunday; his ownership will be down, because of the slight injury concern.

Gasol is questionable for Monday’s game against the Pelicans. Bet on Gasol playing he is a tough guy that rarely misses games. If he doesn’t play this would give a bump up to Jeff Green and Matt Barnes, especially if they go small. Zach Randolph will also get a bump up if Gasol is out Monday.

Ezeli will miss his third straight game, while McAdoo has been out for a month. This doesn’t have a whole lot of fantasy impact, but Andrew Bogut and Marreese Speights will see some extra minutes. Both are GPP punt plays only. Bogut did play 26 minutes last game and finished with 37 FD points. Speights doesn’t get that many minutes, but he produces well over a fantasy point a minute.

After being rumored to be in the starting lineup Sunday, Nance will miss tonight’s game with a knee injury. With Nance out, Julius Randle should still see a ton of minutes. Randle has been playing very well as of late. He is averaging 18 points and 11 rebounds over his last three games. He is just $6,100 on DK and $6,000 on FD. Brandon Bass will also get some more minutes with Nance out.

Williams will play Sunday against the Hornets; he was questionable with an illness. We will have to wait and hear the news on Kobe Bryant, right now he is questionable. On Friday without Bryant, Williams played 35 minutes and finished with 29 FD points. If Bryant is out, Williams should be a safe cash game play. He is under $6,000 on both sites.

Hinrich has missed the last six games with a quad injury, but will play today against the Clippers. Hinrich is not a DFS option. With him returning Aaron Brooks will see fewer minutes.
