Nikola Vucevic

Orlando Magic

Nikola Vucevic is a great option at C tonight

We love targeting players against the Philadelphia 76ers because they own one of the worst defenses in the league, along with the worst record. They are dead last at defending opposing centers and Nikola Vucevic is fairly priced for his production in recent games. He has hit at least 42 fantasy points in three of his last four games and is trending up, and we don’t see any reason why that would change on Wednesday vs. a putrid 76ers defense. He should see minutes in the mid-thirties and should be able to contribute in all aspects of the game tonight. He is a great cash game option and while he will be highly-owned in GPPs, he could turn out to be the highest scoring center of the night.

Jeremy Lamb

Sacramento Kings
1/20/16, 7:03 PM ET

Jeremy Lamb (sprained toe) still questionable but participated in shootaround

Jeremy Lamb was able to go through most of shootaround with the Hornets but they have still listed him as questionable. Lamb has missed the previous three games with a big toe injury and his return could affect Jeremy Lin and Nicolas Batum. Lin and Batum both played major minutes in a double-overtime game on Monday but both were not very effective. If Lamb returns, he would be a strong punt play due to his lack of ownership facing his former team.

Kristaps Porzingis

Golden State Warriors
1/20/16, 6:57 PM ET

Kristaps Porzingis confirmed as starting and Lance Thomas ruled out tonight

Porzingis was not able to finish Monday’s contest due to a bruise in his foot. He seems healed enough to play tonight and will be in the starting lineup against the Jazz. Porzingis will be matching up with fellow rookie Trey Lyles and should be able to exploit him. Porzingis is a GPP option only on an 11-game slate. Lance Thomas will be out tonight with a sore knee which will likely lead to some extra run for Derrick Williams.

Robert Covington

Sixers to start Smith, Sampson, Covington, Noel and Okafor on Wednesday

Robert Covington and Jakarr Sampson will stick in the starting lineup with Nik Stauskas out and Jerami Grant still working his way back into shape after an injury. Covington is a very nice value play on FanDuel, while Ish Smith is an elite option in all formats. Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel both have some nice contrarian upside.

Dwyane Wade

Miami Heat
1/20/16, 6:45 PM ET

Dwyane Wade (shoulders) and Gerald Green (knee) probable to play tonight

In games that Dwyane Wade has played 20 or more minutes, last night was the worst shooting performance of them all. Wade should be able to bounce back tonight against the Wizards as they have been a plus matchup for opposing SGs all season. There is no mention of a minutes limit with the Heat rattled by injuries in the backcourt. Wade will likely be under-owned due to his due last night and could make for a GPP flyer option tonight. The Heat have been on a long road trip so there is a chance that he can put up another dud. Gerald Green has been a scoring dependent player all season and it won’t change anytime soon. Green was 2-10 last night, so expectations should be tempered if you have the courage to roster him tonight on such a large slate. Green is better off faded tonight with Justise Winslow getting for more minutes than him again tonight.

Tony Parker

Charlotte Hornets
1/20/16, 6:01 PM ET

Tony Parker (hip) has been ruled out for Thursday

Tony Parker had to exit Sunday’s game early due to the hip issue and now has been ruled out of Thursday’s contest against the Suns. Patty Mills will likely start in his place and makes for a strong punt option at PG. Mills plays more of a facilitator role with the starting unit leading to his scoring to be down. The Spurs will likely blow the Suns out meaning most Spurs will be limited to an extent. Boban Marjanovic is also an interesting play due to the fact the Suns are listing Leuer, Morris, Warren, and Teletovic all as questionable.

Jrue Holiday

Portland Trail Blazers
1/20/16, 5:25 PM ET

Jrue Holiday listed as starting SG for Thursday with Gordon out

With Eric Gordon out on Thursday, the Pelicans have listed Jrue Holiday as the starting SG. He’ll likely split ball-handling duties with Tyreke Evans, and Holiday’s promotion to the starting lineup won’t hurt his DFS value. Holiday should now be locked into 30+ minutes of court time, with Norris Cole also a candidate to see an uptick in playing time off the bench. Holiday’s presence in the starting lineup may end up shrinking the ceiling (and floor) of Tyreke Evans.

Kristaps Porzingis

Golden State Warriors

Kristaps Porzingis expected to play tonight against the Jazz

Kristaps Porzingis is expected to play tonight against the Jazz. It’s not good news for the DFS value of Derrick Williams or Carmelo Anthony, but the latter is still very much in play despite Porzingis’ presence. Porzingis himself remains a nice upside GPP target, but he’s a tough sell in cash games due to the match-up.

George Hill

Indiana Pacers
1/20/16, 5:20 PM ET

George Hill ruled out for Friday; Ian Mahinmi questionable

George Hill will not play on Friday due to a personal matter. This will be Hill’s third straight missed game, which will lead to Monta Ellis running the point with Joe Young backing him up. Glenn Robinson III may end up drawing another start, but he isn’t a strong DFS contributor and will likely end up being outscored by Young. Ellis is an elite play anytime Hill is out. Ian Mahinmi, who left Tuesday’s game before half-time, is questionable to play Friday. If he can’t go, Myles Turner would see the biggest bump in playing time in the Indiana front-court.

Markieff Morris

Los Angeles Lakers
1/20/16, 4:02 PM ET

Leuer, Teletovic, T.J. Warren and Markieff Morris all questionable for Thursday

The Suns may be extremely thin tomorrow night when they take on the Spurs in Phoenix. Jon Leuer, Mirza Teletovic, Markieff Morris and T.J. Warren all missed Wednesday’s practice and are listed as questionable for tomorrow night. If any combination of these players end up sitting out, look for P.J. Tucker to see as many minutes as he can handle, and the two centers (Chandler and Len) may have to be more heavily utilized. We’ll update the status on the four front-court members after tomorrow’s shootaround.

Julius Randle

Brooklyn Nets
1/20/16, 2:39 PM ET

Larry Nance OUT for tonight's game against the Kings

Nance will miss the next two games with a knee injury meaning Julius Randle will likely get the start tonight against the Kings. It’s a juicy match up for Randle against a team that is 28th in PF DvP. However, proceed with caution in rostering Randle as he’ll likely still have his minutes limited by Head Coach Byron Scott (he hasn’t topped 30 minutes of playing time since December 10th). While Randle is capable of putting up 20+ fantasy points and is a fairly safe bet to do just that (as he’s done in five straight games including 29.2 FD fpts his last game out), his price of $5,500 on FanDuel and $5,400 on DraftKings make him a risky GPP play as he has not topped 30 FanDuel fantasy points once in his last 10 games.

Zaza Pachulia

Detroit Pistons
1/20/16, 2:27 PM ET

Zaza Pachulia upgraded to probable for tonight's game

Previous reports had Pachulia as questionable for the Mavericks game tonight against the Timberwolves but he has now been upgraded to probable. This removes JaVale McGee from consideration as a punt play for tonight’s slate. If anything changes before tip-off, we’ll let you know.

Tyler Johnson

San Antonio Spurs
1/20/16, 1:56 PM ET

Goran Dragic and Beno Udrih OUT again for Miami Heat tonight.

Goran Dragic and Beno Udrih are out for the Miami Heat tonight in their game against the Washington Wizards meaning Tyler Johnson will once again get the start at PG. It’s hard to trust Johnson after the dud he put up last night but he is a moderately priced player who should get 30+ minutes while handling the ball so he is a DFS consideration tonight. Gerald Green will play and should also see 30+ minutes and has shown upside when given the opportunity. That said, he has struggled mightily his last three games out and has a very low floor.

Dirk Nowitzki

Dallas Mavericks
1/20/16, 1:48 PM ET

Raymond Felton and Dirk Nowitzki OUT for Dallas Mavericks tonight. Zaza Pachulia is questionable.

The Mavericks have announced that Dirk Nowitzki and Raymond Felton are out for their game tonight against the Minnesota Timberwolves and Zaza Pachulia is questionable. This creates a couple value opportunities for those playing tonight’s slate. Last time Nowitzki sat, Charlie Villaneuva started – he’s not really an option though as he’s really a starter in name only (and played only 14 minutes that game). Dwight Powell, however, becomes in intriguing value option as he has excelled when given the opportunity. The last three times he has played 25 minutes or more he has put up 15.3 FanDuel fantasy points (in 25 minutes), 35 FD fpts (in 29 minutes), and 23.8 FD fpts (in 32 minutes). If he can get that kind of playing time tonight, he is an excellent GPP option at just $3,600 on FanDuel and $3,800 on DraftKings. Deron Williams, Devin Harris, and J.J. Barea should both get some additional minutes with Felton out and Williams is an excellent option against a Timberwolves team that is 20th in PG DvP. If Pachulia can’t play, Javale McGee may top 20 minutes which makes him a great value option as he has averaged over 1.2 FD fpts/minute over his last 8 games. We’ll update you on Zaza’s status when we learn more.

Patrick Beverley

Milwaukee Bucks
1/20/16, 12:57 PM ET

Patrick Beverley questionable for today's game

Beverley did not take part in the team shootaround and is considered questionable for the Rockets game against the Detroit Pistons tonight. If he is unable to go, Ty Lawson and Jason Terry will likely split his minutes. Neither are viable DFS options despite relatively cheap prices across the industry. We’ll update you on Beverley’s status when we learn mroe.
