Eric Gordon has successful surgery, out 4-6 weeks

The Pelicans announced that Eric Gordon had successful surgery on his fractured finger and will be out 4-6 weeks. Tyreke Evans, Jrue Holiday, and Norris Cole should pick up Gordon’s minutes in the meantime.

Nik Stauskas

Indiana Pacers
1/20/16, 12:14 PM ET

Nik Stauskas OUT today

Stauskas is out again today with his injured shoulder after being listed as likely to play yesterday. Isaiah Canaan will continue to be the biggest beneficiary of this news and is in play at just $3,800 on FanDuel and $3,700 on DraftKings. Canaan scored 20+ fantasy points the last game when Stauskas was out. Robert Covington should also received a few more minutes of playing time and is another excellent option as the 76ers take on a Orlando team that is 13th in fantasy points allowed per game.

Glenn Robinson III

Milwaukee Bucks

Glenn Robinson to start for George Hill on Tuesday

Glenn Robinson will make another start for George Hill tonight. Robinson is a decent punt option tonight against the lowly Suns. Robinson comes in averaging 13 minutes in his last eight games, and will look to build on the 17 he received on Sunday. Robinson only had 8 points but was not able to exceed value in the start. He is still a near minimum priced player, and will need some rebounds and defensive stats to boost his value tonight in Phoenix.

Alex Len

New York Knicks
1/19/16, 9:30 PM ET

Alex Len (hand) to play on Tuesday

Len has missed the last three games due to his hand injury but seems healed enough to return tonight. Len is not much of a DFS option but may get some extra playing time with the Pacers going big tonight. The last time Len had a good game was about a month ago where he scored 19 points and had 13 rebounds in 27 minutes. Len will likely need to see upwards of 24 minutes to provide any significant DFS value.

George Hill (personal) ruled out, Lavoy Allen inserted into the starting lineup

George Hill has been ruled out due to personal reason and the Pacers will start Lavoy Allen alongside Ian Mahinmi. Monta Ellis will take over the PG duties making him an elite option against the Suns tonight. Ellis and should be considered for both cash games and tournaments. Ellis is coming off a 24 point showing and has proven the ability to also distribute the ball. The Pacers hope to have Hill back for their next game against the Warriors on Friday.

Tyreke Evans

Indiana Pacers
1/19/16, 8:20 PM ET

Tyreke Evans confirmed as starting on Tuesday

Tyreke Evans has been confirmed as starting tonight meaning Norris Cole will go back to the bench. Evans has the ability to carry the team offensively but will likely look for Anthony Davis a lot tonight. Evans is an expensive option and will need over 40 FPs on DK to exceed value, which he can reach if he plays over 35 minutes tonight.

Tyler Johnson

San Antonio Spurs
1/19/16, 7:53 PM ET

Tyler Johnson confirmed as starting for Beno Udrih tonight

The Heat have confirmed that Tyler Johnson will be starting tonight against the Bucks. As we all know now, Johnson is an elite option and will be a chalky play. One way to differentiate will be by using the high-risk high-reward Gerald Green. Green is primarily a scorer so if his shot is not falling he has a really low floor.

Tyreke Evans

1/19/16, 8:12 PM ET

Tyreke Evans (knee) to play tonight

Evans will return to the starting lineup after missing one game with knee tendinitis. Evans will make for a semi under-owned option tonight against the Timberwolves. Evans return sends Norris Cole back to the bench, killing most of the DFS value he had. Evans return also will likely cause Jrue Holiday to lose some value but Holiday is still a worthy GPP play. Evans has averaged over 35 minutes in the last 10 games that he started, prior to the knee injury. Look for Evans to resume his role as primary ball handler with an uptick in assists after Coach Alvin Gentry mentioned the Pelicans need to get the ball more to Anthony Davis.

Tyler Johnson

Tyler Johnson will see big minutes with Goran Dragic, Beno Udrih out

The Miami Heat are so banged up right now and it all starts at PG with Goran Dragic and Beno Udrih both ruled out tonight. Last game both were out on Sunday, Tyler Johnson played 39 minutes and scored 16 points to go along with 4 assists and 6 boards. His usage is not very high, but at only $5,100 on DraftKings he only needs 25 fantasy points to hit value, only 0.65 fantasy points per minute. He is likely to see around the same number of minutes tonight because along with Gerald Green and Dwayne Wade, they are effectively the only true guards the Heat have available to them. He will likely be heavily owned because of the injuries and is one of the top options on the board tonight, but I would feel good about rolling him out there in any and all of your cash game lineups.

Emmanuel Mudiay

Sacramento Kings
1/19/16, 7:07 PM ET

Emmanuel Mudiay is a great option with Jameer Nelson ruled out

Emmanuel Mudiay had been sidelined for about a month due to injury, and since he has come back he has been coming off of the bench trying to get back into the groove. However, Jameer Nelson has been ruled out tonight leaving Mudiay to fill in at PG for the Nuggets. The matchup with the Thunder will be very high-scoring, and while the matchup with Russell Westbrook seems intimidating with all of the steals he accrues, the Thunder are actually 23rd in DvP vs. PGs. He did have an 11 fantasy point performance a week ago vs. Golden State, but Mudiay only played 17 minutes with Nelson in the lineup. In his other three games since returning from injury he has hit value in all three. Mudiay should play a ton of minutes tonight and at his price point of $5,400 is definitely an option tonight in cash and GPPs.

Gerald Green

Houston Rockets
1/19/16, 7:01 PM ET

Gerald Green to warm up with the intention of playing

Gerald Green exited Sunday’s game with knee tendinitis but expects to play tonight. Green makes for a good GPP target against the Bucks tonight. Tyler Johnson and Dwyane Wade will likely be chalky options but Green provides for the under-owned play in Miami. Green is still an injury risk but in tournaments he would only need 25 FPs to exceed value and could pay off.

Derrick Favors

Atlanta Hawks
1/19/16, 6:31 PM ET

Derrick Favors (back) doubtful for Wednesday

Favors is still doubtful with his back injury which leaves Trey Lyles likely to start again. Lyles is a boom-or-bust option and faces the Knicks on Wednesday who could be without Kristaps Porzingis. On an 11-game slate, Lyles is a tournament option only and should be used only if Porzingis does indeed miss the game. The Jazz don’t rely on Lyles for much offensive production so he gets his fantasy production mostly from rebounds and assists.

Larry Nance Jr.

Indiana Pacers
1/19/16, 5:42 PM ET

Larry Nance (knee) doubtful for Wednesday

Nance is doubtful with a knee injury which means Julius Randle will likely start again. Randle started against Houston and was able to post a double-double with 12 points and eleven rebounds. Lakers Coach Byron Scott is still keeping Randle’s minutes under 30 but we might see more on Wednesday is he able to play well and the Lakers keep the game close. Randle is still a solid tournament option and will likely be under-owned on an 11-game slate

As reported by: Mike Bresnahan Other tagged players: Julius Randle

Andrea Bargnani

Brooklyn Nets
1/19/16, 5:29 PM ET

Andrea Bargnani (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday

Bargnani has been listed as questionable for tomorrow after missing Monday’s game with a sore ankle. Bargnani’s absence allowed for Thomas Robinson and Willie Reed to share the backup big man minutes but none are DFS options unless Thad Young or Brook Lopez sit. Look for an update on Bargnani’s status early tomorrow.

Kobe Bryant

Los Angeles Lakers
1/19/16, 5:48 PM ET

Kobe Bryant (Achilles) will play on Wednesday

Kobe Bryant is expected to play tomorrow again the Kings. Bryant’s salary has slowly been on a downward due to his recent stretch of poor play and missed games due to injury. The Kings play no defense which may allow The Black Mamba to exceed value on Wednesday but still he is a tournament option only. The Lakers have spoke about limiting Bryant’s minutes and we have seen that over the last 3 games. Lou Williams may see slightly lower ownership due to Bryant’s return but Williams is still a player to roster against the Kings.
