David West

Golden State Warriors
12/28/15, 10:16 PM ET

David West starting Monday for Tim Duncan

David West has been named the injury replacement for Tim Duncan, and he makes for a great punt option tonight. West has been playing well in Duncan’s absence so he could make for a great under-owned late-swap. The Spurs are projected to be in a blowout, so West would be rested in that case. Look for West to have strong rebounding numbers with LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard also getting a boost with Duncan out.

J.J. Barea

Dallas Mavericks
12/28/15, 10:05 PM ET

J.J. Barea to start, Raymond Felton to the bench Monday

J.J. Barea has had the hot hand lately and the Mavs will be riding it, moving Raymond Felton off the bench. Barea is a chalky play tonight and could struggle against the length of Michael Carter-Williams. Look for Felton to carry the scoring punch off the bench with Chandler Parsons also back into the starting lineup. Felton will be a low-owned player with the demotion but can surprise wit his scoring while leading the second unit.

John Henson

New York Knicks
12/28/15, 10:09 PM ET

John Henson to dress tonight, not expected to play

John Henson will be active tonight but is not expected to play after injuring his elbow. Henson had been playing decently over his last 3 games and his absence will likely open up more time for Johnny O’Bryant. O’Bryant is basically a minimum priced player, but should not see more than 20 minutes tonight.

Chandler Parsons

Atlanta Hawks
12/28/15, 9:48 PM ET

Chandler Parsons starting at SF tonight vs Bucks

Chandler Parsons has been inserted back into the Mavs starting lineup and will look to use his length against the Bucks. The Mavs can’t go with a 2-PG, so look for Parsons to have a solid game without his minutes restriction. Parsons will be a chalky play across the industry but he has the upside at his cheap price. Parsons is coming off back-to-back 30+ FPs games, so hopefully he can keep it going tonight.

Carl Landry

Philadelphia 76ers
12/28/15, 9:44 PM ET

Carl Landry to start for the 76ers on Monday

Carl Landry will make his first start of the season tonight against the Utah Jazz. Landry is coming off two 20+ FPs games and should continue to put up the stats for the lowly sixers. Landry will be on a 25 minute restriction so his ceiling is capped. His price is only $3,200 on DK so he makes for a solid late swap option tonight.

Jeff Withey

Dallas Mavericks
12/28/15, 9:39 PM ET

Jeff Withey to start for the injured Derrick Favors

Jeff Withey will make another start for the injured Derrick Favors and makes for a solid late swap option at C tonight. He is only $3,300 on DraftKings and has a ceiling of about 20 FPs. If you did not go with any of the big name centers playing tonight, Withey can help you stack Warriors in the late slate.

Derrick Favors

Atlanta Hawks
12/28/15, 9:22 PM ET

Derrick Favors (back) ruled out on Monday

Derrick Favors will miss another game with his back injury and we no timetable for his return has been set. The Jazz are currently being destroyed by injuries and will hope to have Favors back for their next game. Jeff Withey is starting in his place and is coming off two solid games. He is a risky option, but at $3,300 he can make for a decent late swap punt.

Devin Booker

Phoenix Suns
12/28/15, 9:18 PM ET

Devin Booker confirmed starting for Eric Bledsoe

The Suns have confirmed that Devin Booker will be starting in place of the injured Eric Bledsoe tonight. Booker makes for a great punt option with his near minimum salary, but is mainly a scorer. The Cavs have a good defense and can bring in Iman Shumpert if J.R. Smith allows Booker to start going off.

Tim Duncan

San Antonio Spurs
12/28/15, 9:13 PM ET

Tim Duncan out with knee soreness on Monday

Tim Duncan has been ruled out with knee soreness and we should expect David West to get another start. West has played well in his spot starts for Duncan and makes for a great late-swap option again tonight. Look Kawhi Leonard to be the elite option with LaMarcus Aldridge also getting a bump in value. The Spurs are projected to be in a blowout situation, so the bench could also get a boost.

Jerryd Bayless

Minnesota Timberwolves
12/28/15, 9:04 PM ET

Jerryd Bayless (ankle) will play on Monday

The Bucks will have Jerryd Bayless return to team tonight after missing 11 games with ankle injury. Bayless would be a low-owned option tonight against the Mavs, but carries a lot of risk. It is better to avoid Bayless until he proves he is back into game shape. Bayless is a scorer so he just needs to get his feet under him to get going.

DeMarre Carroll

Houston Rockets
12/28/15, 8:43 PM ET

DeMarre Carroll starting tonight

The Raptors will DeMarre Carroll back into the starting lineup tonight, with James Johnson returning to the bench. Carroll is still on a minutes restriction so look for James Johnson to get some minutes with Terrence Ross also still in the rotation. The Raptors face the Bulls tonight, and should have an advantage at the SF position with Nikola Mirotic starting. It will be tough to recommend any SF from Toronto though with them all being a time share.

Jonas Valanciunas

Denver Nuggets
12/28/15, 8:07 PM ET

Jonas Valanciunas will not be starting tonight

The Raptors will ease Jonas Valanciunas back into the rotation and will not start him tonight. JV said he does not remember the last time he did not start, and that it will take time to readjust to being on the court. Valanciunas is not a DFS option tonight with his limited role, but should be deployed soon in a starting role. Bismack Biyombo has been playing well recently and will continue to start but should also not be a DFS option tonight with the return of Valanciunas.

Deron Williams

Cleveland Cavaliers
12/28/15, 7:55 PM ET

Deron Williams out on Monday

The Mavs have ruled out Deron Williams with his hamstring injury. While the starters have not been announced, J.J. Barea has been playing well in Williams’ absence. There has been talk of Chandler Parsons starting tonight, so we will update on the Mavs starting lineup once we receive it.

Jonas Valanciunas

Denver Nuggets
12/28/15, 7:52 PM ET

Valanciunas and Carroll not confirmed as starters Monday

Raptors Coach Dwayne Casey has not confirmed that Jonas Valanciunas and DeMarre Carroll will be back in the starting lineup. Both players are on a minutes restriction and should be avoided tonight on such a large slate. Bismack Biyombo also gets a hit in his value with the return of Valanciunas.

Tyler Johnson

San Antonio Spurs
12/28/15, 7:39 PM ET

Tyler Johnson will play Monday

Tyler Johnson has missed a large portion of December with a shoulder injury, but will look to make his return tonight. Johnson is a boom-or-bust GPP option tonight against the Nets. If the Heat end up blowing out the Nets, Johnson could get a bunch of garbage time minutes, to get back into game shape.
