Monta Ellis starting on Tuesday
Ellis’ status was never really in doubt, but we now have official confirmation that he will be in the starting lineup tonight. He’s a secondary option tonight against the Warriors, with Paul George being the only true elite play on the Pacers. George Hill is also a sneaky target against Golden State, as they’ve struggled more with PGs than any other position to this point in the season. Downgrade Rodney Stuckey slightly with Ellis in the lineup. Ellis may benefit from the extra attention the Warriors are expected to give Paul George on the defensive end, making him a viable GPP target.

Monta Ellis is a potential GPP target
In a much anticipated matchup between the undefeated Golden State Warriors and the Indiana Pacers, there will be plenty of points to go around with an over/under of 214. Both teams are very fast-paced and this will be an up-tempo game with a lot of opportunities for points, and with news that Paul George will be guarded by Andre Iguodala and Draymond Green, Ellis could look to carry some of the load tonight. Also going along down a little narrative street, Ellis played for the Warriors for the first 7 years of his career, so read into that what you wish. Although George is an elite player and could very well still score 40 real life points even being guarded by Green and Iguodala, Ellis will look to step into that secondary scorer role that the Pacers have not yet necessarily solidified this year.
Shane Larkin looks to get big minutes with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson out
A few days ago it was announced that Rondae Hollis-Jefferson would be out for the foreseeable future with a broken bone in his foot. Shane Larkin has been playing some big minutes as of late and last game with Hollis-Jefferson out Larkin played 28 minutes and racked up 32FP. Going forward it looks like Larkin and Markel Brown will try to fill the void of Hollis-Jefferson but it looks like Larkin will continue playing big minutes. He gets a great matchup with the Rockets tonight and they love to play two point guard sets, so look for Larkin to reach the 28-30 minute mark again tonight. At this discount, Larkin will have the opportunity to reach value fairly easily and likely exceed it.
Leandro Barbosa out with illness tonight
The Warriors have ruled out Leandro Barbosa with an illness tonight against the Pacers. Look for Shaun Livingston to get some extra minutes behind Steph Curry and is a viable punt play. Steph Curry is in line to see over 35 minutes tonight with Barbosa out. Andre Iguodala will also get a bump in a playing time and will be the crunch time SF guarding Paul George anytime Draymond Green is not.

Mo Williams will play tonight
Mo Williams has a knee injury that he has been nursing but will be available and playing tonight. Williams has not been confirmed as the starter against Portland. Matthew Dellavedova is likely to make his third consecutive start due to his defensive abilities. While he is not an elite lockdown defender he can definitely disrupt Lillard more than Williams could. Mo Williams only received 12 minutes in his last game and is a low-end option with so many good PGs on the board today .

Nikola Vucevic plays well against the Denver Nuggets and would likely dominate against their small frontcourt. Vucevic has averaged 20 points and 11.6 rebounds against the Nuggets in his last three meetings. Joffery Lauvergne is questionable to play against the, which likely means an undersized J.J. Hickson will be in the rotation. The Nuggets are 25th at DvP against C, making Vucevic a prime target if paying one was to pay up for a center tonight.
Danilo Gallinari, Joffrey Lauvergne listed as questionable for Tuesday
While Gallo is expected to play tonight, Lauvergne’s status may be a little more up in the air. Gallinari has been dealing with a bone bruise in his knee that is causing discomfort, but he’s been dealing with it for a few games now and it hasn’t limited his minutes at all thus far. Assuming he plays, Gallo is a solid mid-range target at SF in any format. As for Lauvergne, he’s not a recommended DFS option in any format, but his absence would open up more time for Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur.

Leonard missed Monday’s game with the Sixers due to “gastroenteritis”, but it seemed like more of an excuse to sit out Leonard (who they’d have a hard time listing out due to rest) in a game the Spurs knew they’d likely win easily. We’d expect him to play tomorrow against Houston, and his presence would definitely not be good news for James Harden, who Leonard would likely shadow for most of the game. While Leonard will have to expend a lot of energy on the defensive end, he’s still a prime DFS target at SF tomorrow.

There isn’t much DFS relevance here, but Splitter is considered questionable for tomorrow night. If he doesn’t suit up, most of his potential playing time would go to Mike Muscala, with the starting front-court possibly seeing an extra handful of minutes. This news shouldn’t affect any DFS decisions tomorrow.
As reported by: KL Chouinard Luol Deng practices Tuesday, intends to play Wednesday
Deng has missed the Heat’s last six games, but intends to return tomorrow night against the Hornets. Assuming he’s able to go, Gerald Green would no longer be a viable DFS target, and Justice Winslow’s minutes may also take a slight dip. Deng hasn’t produced at a high level this season with Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, Goran Dragic and Hassan Whiteside all healthy, so there isn’t any reason to consider him tomorrow night.

Trey Lyles, and not Trevor Booker, will draw the start alongside Derrick Favors in the front-court tonight against the Kings. Lyles started in the Jazz’s last game on Saturday and played 20 minutes against the Pacers, and we can probably expect something very similar tonight. He should end up in the 15-22 minute range and isn’t a viable DFS play even as a starter. Trevor Booker still has more DFS appeal coming off the bench.

Gordon is dealing with an ankle sprain and is doubtful to play tonight against the Nuggets. His absence will likely lead to a higher workload for Tobias Harris, with Andrew Nicholson also a candidate to see more run off the bench. Harris is a very solid GPP target in the mid-range of the SF pool against a Denver team that likes to play fast. Nikola Vucevic, Elfrid Payton and Victor Oladipo are also in play tonight for the Magic. Gordon isn’t expected to miss much more time.

As expected, Harrison Barnes will miss another game due to his injured left ankle. Leandro Barbosa is also questionable due to an illness. You would think this would mean a significant bump to the likes of Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, and Brandon Rush but none of the three are viable DFS options as they 1) don’t get the minutes you are looking for when rostering a DFS player and 2) their production in those minutes doesn’t justify rostering them. Iguodala has only averaged 24 minutes per game and 16 fppg in Barnes absence with Livingston (21 mpg/13 fppg) and Rush (17 mpg/12 fppg) not faring any better. The Warriors opponent, the Indiana Pacers, are also an excellent defensive team ranking in the top 10 of DvP at SF and 6th overall in terms of fantasy points allowed. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green are your preferred targets if you are looking at rostering Golden State players with Curry being one of the elite options of the night.

Danilo Gallinari will play tonight
Gallinari has been playing through a knee bruise for a few games now and will do so again tonight against the Orlando Magic. The Magic are a middle of the pack team in terms of defensive efficiency against SF’s, ranking 16th in DvP. Gallinari is not in play in cash but does have some appeal in GPP’s. He is consistent in terms of the minutes he gets as he has not played less than 33.7 in any of his last nine games. He tends to hover in the high 20’s and low 30’s in terms of fantasy point production but has shown the ability to put up a big game with three games of 47+ fpts (on DraftKings) this season. However, at his price point ($7,000 on DraftKings and $7,100 on FanDuel), he’s best used in a dart throw GPP lineup or two and avoided after that.

Gary Harris will miss his sixth straight game tonight but appears to be on track to play Friday. Randy Foye has been starting in his absence, averaging just over 30 minutes per game while doing so. However, his production (17 fppg on DraftKings) is marginal and while those numbers would give him nearly five times value, it’s not necessarily the numbers you are looking for, especially in GPP’s. Will Barton also has been averaging nearly five times value but has much more upside than Foye (who has not topped 20.25 fpts on DraftKings this season). Barton is the preferred play of the two in their match up against the Orlando Magic tonight.
