Kevin Garnett will not play tonight due to it being the second leg of a back-to-back. This doesn’t offer much in the way of fantasy implications though; look for some combination of Nemanja Bjelica, Adreian Payne and Gorgui Dieng to eat up the 15-18 minutes usually allotted to Garnett.

Nene doubtful Tuesday
Nene is doubtful for the Wizards’ game against the Thunder. Kris Humpries should see extended minutes and Drew Gooden will even get some extra burn. In a high-scoring affair, Humpries makes for a great punt play at $3,400 on DraftKings. Humpries has double-double potential and hits the 3-ball.

Metta World Peace to start for Kobe
Metta World Peace will draw the start at SG with Kobe Bryant out of action. He’s obviously not going to see a ton of run and won’t put up many shots, so he’s a GPP play at best tonight. Jordan Clarkson should see an uptick in shot attempts with Louis Williams and Nick Young also providing added depth off the bench.

There are obviously plenty of shot attempts up for grabs tonight with Kobe out of the lineup. Jordan Clarkson seems like the biggest beneficiary, but it’s tough to peg who exactly will benefit with the Lakers having a deep rotation at guard. This news also boosts the DFS value of D’Angelo Russell, Lou Williams and Nick Young. All three of them are best deployed in tournaments, with Russell and Williams being the stronger options. Clarkson is playable in cash games, but he’s facing off with a Heat team that ranks near the bottom of the league in pace.

Gerald Green will be suspended two games by the Heat. Justise Winslow and Tyler Johnson can be expected to pick up a ton of minutes with Green out. Both make for great GPP plays with their extremely friendly DFS salaries. Tyler Johnson is likely to benefit the most tonight with Mario Chalmers also shipped out of town.

Bradley Beal will not play on Tuesday against the Thunder. This opens up plenty of opportunity for Gary Neal, who will draw the start at SG tonight. He’s at or near minimum price across the industry, and makes a solid target in any format. Otto Porter and John Wall will also see a slight uptick in value with Beal out of action. Porter is also viable in any format, with Wall being more of a GPP play with other elite options at the PG spot (Westbrook, Isaiah Thomas).

Darren Collison has been struggling with an injured hamstring, but could see the court soon. Rajon Rondo will continue to see a ton of minutes any game that Collison is out. The Kings had a team meeting today, so you can expect they will come out firing against the Pistons on Wednesday.

Given that this game starts a half hour after FanDuel lock, this isn’t good news for anyone hoping to play James Johnson tonight. With that said, Raptors beat writer Josh Lewenberg “would be surprised” if he played, and thinks he could end up sitting out tomorrow against the Sixers as well. On the other hand, the Raptors could choose to play Carroll tonight and have him sit out tomorrow on the second leg of a B2B. We’ll update Carroll’s status when something official breaks.

J.R. Smith will play tonight against the Jazz. While his return is good news for the Cavs, it eats into the DFS value of Matthew Dellavedova and Richard Jefferson, neither of whom are options tonight against a very tough Jazz team. The Jazz play at the slowest pace of any NBA team (94.1) and own arguably the league’s best defense, so the entire Cavs team is worth avoiding in cash games tonight. Smith himself is not a DFS option against Utah.

Bradley Beal is suffering from a shoulder contusion and is a game-time decision against the Thunder. Currently, it looks like Beal will warm up then decide if he will play. If Beal was to miss the game Gary Neal could benefit a ton in a high scoring affair. The game total is projected at 219, so there will be a ton of shots to go around tonight.

Nelson sat out last night, which afforded Randy Foye to pick up most of the minutes at the backup PG spot. Emmanuel Mudiay did not see an uptick in playing time (he played 28 minutes and averages 30 MPG on the season), but he had one of the better games of his young career last night against Portland. Foye saw more playing time than he’s had in any game this season, playing 20 minutes off the bench and responding with 13pts, 3ast and 1reb.

Joffrey Lauvergne will not play tomorrow against the Bucks, and may not end up returning until Saturday against Phoenix. If the Nuggets choose to go big against Milwaukee, look for J.J. Hickson to draw another start, and he’d be a viable punt play in GPPs (with some cash game appeal depending on his price) if that happens. Will Barton would be the starter if the Nuggets play small, and he’s the more intriguing DFS value. Barton let down fantasy owners last night (it looked like he may start again, but ended up coming off the bench), which may keep his ownership levels a little lower than they should be if he starts.

Patrick Beverley was practicing on Tuesday with the Rockets in preparation for their game on Wednesday against the Nets. Ty Lawson has been averaging over 40 minutes in his last 3 games, and could use a breather. Beverley isn’t much of an offensive threat but does pick up a decent amount of peripheral stats.

It’s looking like Vucevic will sit out again tomorrow. Dewayne Dedmon has done a decent job filling in, and he’ll see another start tomorrow assuming Vucevic isn’t able to suit up. Dedmon is a potential punt play in any format, although he’s not the safest of cash game plays due to his habit of consistently getting in foul trouble. Aaron Gordon and Channing Frye will also see extra run off the Magic bench.

Kobe Bryant will play tonight against the Heat as well as tomorrow against Orlando. His appearance in future back-to-backs will depend upon how that goes. Kobe is off to a really poor start to the season, shooting 32% from the field and he really doesn’t fit in well with many of the Lakers young players. He’s still priced a little too high across the industry, but he’ll be a worthwhile GPP target if his price continues to fall. He’s not a recommended DFS option tonight against a slower paced Heat team.
