Jacquizz Rodgers inactive Sunday
Doug Martin will lead the Buccaneers’ backfield again this week. He picked up 27 touches and 105 total yards last game. Given the expected game flow, Martin will be a stronger option on full PPR sites. Tampa Bay enters the game as 5.5-point underdogs, which means they should be passing quite a bit. He ranks as our fourth points-per-dollar running back on DraftKings where he only costs $4.9k this week.

Seahawks CB DeShawn Shead inactive Sunday
Seattle’s defense is pretty banged up, Earl Thomas and Michaell Bennett are also inactive today. This is good news for the Tampa Bay offense. Mike Evans will be shadowed by Richard Sherman, which means Russell Shepard should benefit the most from Shead’s absence. He’s worth considering as a tournament flier as he has two touchdowns over the past three weeks, but he hasn’t had a game with more than six targets. Cameron Brate may be the best pivot off Evans, he’s had three touchdowns over the past four games. Seattle has struggled to cover tight ends the past couple of games. Last week, the Seahawks allowed tight end Zach Ertz to catch six passes for 35 yards and a touchdown. The week prior, Martellus Bennett and Rob Gronkowski combined for 10 receptions and 162 yards.

Despite missing practice all week, he’ll suit up against the Titans today. Even though he’ll be the number two receiver behind Cameron Meredith, he isn’t a good fantasy play as Matt Barkley will be throwing to him. Barkley will struggle to complete passes and move the football, which leaves Royal in a terrible spot.

Barkley has a career completion percentage of 55.4%. He’s thrown zero touchdowns and six interceptions. Chicago has the lowest implied total on the board at 17.75 points. It’s a great spot to fade the entire Bears’ offense and start the Tennessee Titans DST.

Both players were expected to play through their questionable tags today. Stills will be a boom-or-bust option today; he excels at making big plays, but his targets are very up and down. Landry’s target numbers have taken a drop since Jay Ajayi took over as the Dolphins feature back. As we noted earlier, the Phins will be without three offensive lineman, which could cause Ajayi to struggle. Landry isn’t safe enough for cash as his volume hasn’t been there, but he’s a solid tournament option against a poor defense.

Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd will start at receiver for the Bengals today and their matchup got a little bit easier now that Jimmy Smith is out. Baltimore’s pass defense is much better with Smith in the lineup. Odell Beckham and Dez Bryant both put up big games when Smith was out. Of course, LaFell and Boyd aren’t on the same level as those two stars, but they should be able to produce some fantasy points. With A.J. Green, Giovani Bernard, and C.J. Uzomah out for the Bengals, LaFell, Boyd, and Tyler Eifert will get the vast majority of Andy Dalton’s passes today. All of them are worth consideration in tournaments, and Eifert is in play for cash games as he should be Dalton’s favorite target.

Julio Jones is likely to draw shadow coverage this week from Patrick Peterson. Many DFS players are going to take only a token glance at Julio this week. Jones has been successful in this matchup before though. The last time these teams played in 2014 Jones lit up Peterson for 10-189-1 on 12 targets. Jones still has the highest receiving prop of the week at 90.5. Clearly this isn’t a cash game recommendation but Jones has GPP-winning upside at what should be very low ownership.

Rapoport: T.J. Yeldon will be active Sunday
This is surprising as Yeldon (ankle) hadn’t practiced all week. Yeldon isn’t a viable fantasy option himself, given the injury, but he could hurt Chris Ivory’s value. Ivory should still be Jacksonville’s lead back, but he may lose some running back snaps today, which means his touch floor isn’t as secure as we originally anticipated. He’s still in play for tournaments, although he’ll be a riskier option now. We’ll update with more information on Yeldon’s status should we learn more before kickoff.

Floyd injured his hamstring earlier in the week, which kept him out of practice. He told ESPN’s Britt McHenry that he’s good to go today though. With Desmond Trufant reportedly done for the season, he’ll have an easier individual matchup today. The game has a high total of 50 points. The Cardinals are 4-point underdogs, so they should be passing a good amount. Still, Floyd hasn’t had a great season, only exceeding 65 yards once all year. He’s a boom-or-bust tournament option. Fortunately, it’s a good spot today against a defense that allows the third most PPR points to wide receivers. He’ll be a very risky tournament option, but he’s in play.

The San Francisco 49ers are a dream matchup for any RB. The 49ers rank dead last in DVOA versus the run and allow the most plays run against them in the NFL. With the Dolphins 7.5 point favorites, just about everything lines up perfect for Jay Ajayi today. There is one issue that is concerning though. The Dolphins are likely to be without starting LT Branden Albert (wrist), C Mike Pouncey (hip) and LG Laremy Tunsil (shoulder). This is a matchup that Ajayi should still win but missing three offensive lineman is a major concern for any RB.

Vegas props can be a useful tool when trying to make last minute decisions or find a hidden gem. The Week 12 player props are starting to trickle in now. Most of the 1:00 ET games are posted and the 4:00 ET games should follow shortly. One interesting prop that jumps out at QB is Carson Palmer. With Desmond Trufant out, the Cardinals should have some success against the Falcons’ secondary. Vegas see the upside here and likes Palmer for 285.5 yards. That’s the second-highest QB yardage prop on the board. If you are wondering about the touchdowns, Vegas has Palmer’s prop at 1.5 with a -165 line on the over. When we convert that line back to an implied probability it tells us there is a 62.2% chance Palmer throws two touchdowns.

It looks like it will be cold and windy for the Sunday night game in Denver. Winds are expected to be around 20-25 mph, with gusts reaching 35 mph, and it should be around 40 degrees. This matchup also features the lowest total on the board at 39 points; it should be a slow, defensive slugfest with plenty of running. McCoy will play with a splint on his thumb after undergoing surgery on it earlier in the week. Coach Rex Ryan said that he’s ready to take on a full workload despite the injury. With the Bills thin at receiver and backup Mike Gillislee out, McCoy will get all he can handle today against a Jacksonville defense that ranks 23rd in rush DVOA. He’s a strong option. Watkins will play up to 50-60% of the snaps today, but isn’t really a viable fantasy option in his first game back since Week 2. He should be back in play next week if everything goes well.

Harvin was expected to see an increased role Sunday with Robert Woods out, but he won’t be able to suit up after suffering migraines during the week. Sammy Watkins will start along with Marquise Goodwin. Watkins could get on the field for around 50-60% of the Bills’ snaps today, per Joe Buscaglia.

Crabtree will see James Bradberry on a little over half of his routes, which is a tough matchup. Bradberry has a solid 80.7 PFF grade this season. Fortunately, Crabtree won’t be shadowed by Bradberry; he’ll get Daryl Worley (58.7 PFF grade) and Leonard Johnson (47.8) on roughly 46% of his routes. Crabtree remains Derek Carr’s favorite red zone target, and the Panthers have given up the eighth-most passing touchdowns (19) this season. As a unit, Carolina ranks 19th in pass DVOA, according to Football Outsiders. Despite the concerns about Bradberry, Crabtree remains a solid tournament option today.
