Rob Gronkowski (back) expected to play in Week 13
Gronk was forced out of the Patriots’ game with the Jets on Sunday after suffering a back injury. It is not believed to be a serious injury, and he should be able to suit up this weekend against the Rams, who rank 10th in TE DVOA. We’ll learn more when the Patriots practice on Wednesday.

Mike Gillislee on track to play in Week 13
Gillislee (hamstring) wasn’t able to play against Jacksonville this past weekend. Coach Rex Ryan said he’s making good progress and should be ready to go against the Raiders in Week 13. He doesn’t have much fantasy value himself, but he’ll take some snaps from LeSean McCoy. Regardless, McCoy is an elite fantasy option against the Raiders, who rank 27th in rush DVOA.

Miller re-injured his ankle against the Chargers on Sunday, but he’s expected to play this coming weekend against the Packers. Although Green Bay has allowed 100-yard rushers in back-to-back games (Robert Kelley and DeMarco Murray), it’s still a difficult spot for Miller. Kelley and Murray have different running styles, both employ a more power-running approach, whereas Miller is more elusive. Entering Week 12, Green Bay ranked 5th in rush DVOA.

Despite the injury being on his throwing hand, he returned to the game and finished with 315 yards and two touchdowns against the Panthers. He is expected to play this weekend when the Raiders host the Bills. The game has an appealing total of 49.5 points and should be competitive, Oakland are only 3-point favorites. Buffalo has a mediocre pass defense, they rank 15th in pass DVOA.

Cleveland was reportedly considering shutting Kessler down for the season after he suffered his second concussion, but he returned to practice today. It’s not yet clear if he’ll play in Week 14 (they’re off this week) or if McCown will get the start. We’ll learn more after their bye week.

Don’t roster Agholor if you’re playing the Monday-Thursday slate, he won’t be active for the Eagles. Paul Turner will be active, but he’s not in the player pool on DraftKings or FanDuel. Rookie Bryce Treggs will see more snaps than normal with Agholor out, but expect Carson Wentz to primarily target Jordan Matthews, Dorial Green-Beckham, tight end Zach Ertz, and running back Darren Sproles. Matthews has averaged 11 targets per game over the past four, and he should see plenty of passes again tonight against the Packers. Green Bay has really struggled against the pass in recent weeks, they’ve allowed 11 passing touchdowns over the past four games.

Green won’t be ready to play in Week 13. Brandon LaFell and Tyler Boyd will start at receiver for the Bengals against the Eagles. They both had nine targets against the Ravens this past Sunday, while Tyler Eifert led the team with 11. Expect a similar distribution until Green returns to the lineup. Vegas has their implied team total at 19.5 points, which is one of the lowest on the slate, so LaFell and Boyd are risky options again. Eiferts’ value is a little more secure as he’s clearly quarterback Andy Dalton’s favorite target.

Bradford apparently suffered an ankle injury against the Cowboys on Thanksgiving, but he should be fine to play this Thursday night against the Cowboys. Despite Dallas ranking 28th in pass DVOA, Bradford isn’t a great fantasy target. His floor and ceiling are both very low; he hasn’t had a game with more than 20 FanDuel points, but has three under 10. Their game with the Cowboys is expected to be slow-paced and currently has a low total of 43.5 points.

Coach Todd Bowles isn’t ready to put Bryce Petty back under center, he said he’ll start Fitzpatrick next Monday night against the Colts. Fitzpatrick threw for 269 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions against the Patriots on Sunday, but he also lost a fumble. After starting out the season by throwing 10 picks in four games, he’s only thrown three in the past six. Indianapolis has one of the worst pass defenses in the league, so he’ll be in a nice spot. Keep him away from cash lineups, but he may be worth some tournament exposure; the Jets are 1-point home underdogs and the game has a 49.5-point total.

Reed, whose range of motion in his injured shoulder is around 30%, didn’t practice Monday. He’ll be tested each day this week, which means his status for Sunday is currently up in the air. Reed told reporters he won’t be cleared to play unless he has movement and strength back in his shoulder. We may not know whether he’ll play or not until Sunday morning. If he can’t go, Vernon Davis would be a possible option. In the two games Reed missed in October, Davis averaged 4.0 receptions, 64.5 yards, and 0.5 touchdowns. However, the Redskins visit the Cardinals this weekend, who rank 2nd in TE DVOA. Jamison Crowder, Pierre Garcon, and DeSean Jackson would all pick up extra targets as well.

Agholor hasn’t been able to get anything going on the field this season so Philadelphia promoted Paul Turner from the practice squad this week. He should be avoided in fantasy as there’s a good chance he won’t even be active for the game tonight. Jordan Matthews and Dorial Green-Beckham will be the receivers in two-wide sets. Matthews is expected to play more outside this week as the Eagles will put Turner in the slot. He’s had double-digit targets for four straight games and should see plenty of volume tonight against the struggling Packers’ secondary. Green-Beckham is a possible pivot off Matthews in the Monday-Thursday slate; he had a 5/54/1 line against the much tougher Seahawks’ secondary last game and he’ll come with lower ownership. Turner isn’t available on DraftKings or FanDuel this week.

It’s good news for the Colts as their franchise QB took the field today for practice after missing last week due to a concussion. He should be able to play this week barring any setbacks.

Marcus Peters active, Jeremy Maclin inactive for Chiefs; no surprises for Broncos
Peters will cover Emmanuel Sanders the most tonight, which creates a tough spot for the Denver receiver; Peters has an excellent 80.9 PFF grade this season. Demaryius Thomas, on the other hand, has a much better matchup with Phillip Gaines, who has a 37.9 grade, the second worst mark among qualifying cornerbacks. In Jeremy Maclin’s absence, Tyreek Hill, Chris Conely, and Travis Kelce should pick up the majority of the targets. None of them are great options against an elite defense in a game that has a total set at 40 points. Denver is much weaker against running backs, ranking 25th in rush DVOA and 17th against receiving running backs. Spencer Ware may be the best offensive option on the Chiefs.

Crabtree has a tough individual matchup with the Panthers’ best cornerback, James Bradberry, who has an 80.7 PFF grade. He’ll still be Carr’s favorite red zone target and has a good chance to score in a game with a 48.5 point total. With Washington out, Latavius Murray and Jalen Richard will handle the running back duties. Carolina ranks 6th in rush DVOA though, so they’ll have their work cut out for them. Amerson’s absence is a big blow to their defense, he has an excellent 83.7 PFF grade on the year. Ted Ginn lines up on his side about half the time, and Kelvin Benjamin is there for about one third of his routes.

Both players will suit up this afternoon against the Jets. Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, and Martellus Bennett are all active as well. New England will likely go pass-heavy as the Jets’ defense ranks 30th in pass DVOA and 2nd in rush DVOA. Gronk and Brady are both elite options, viable in all formats. The other three are tournament options, but Julian Edelman is the strongest play of the trio. He had a team-high 17 targets last week. While his volume will come back down, he should still see about 8-10 passes today.
