Jacquizz Rodgers not looking good for Thursday Night Football

Tampa Bay Head Coach Dirk Koetter isn’t very optimistic about his current starting RB Jacquizz Rodgers being able to play this Thursday. With Doug Martin and Charles Sims already out this leaves the Bucs dangerously thin as they face a vulnerable Atlanta defense. Antone Smith out touched Peyton Barber 5 to 1 this past week and seems to be the guy Koetter would lean on – he’s certainly in play for those playing Thursday night slates as a value option.

Andre Johnson retiring from football

One week after his former teammate Arian Foster decided to call it quits, Andre Johnson is joining him as he has announced that he is retiring from the Tennessee Titans. He hasn’t been fantasy relevant for a couple of seasons but retires after having had a great career. This should open up more opportunities for Tajae Sharpe and Kendall Wright but both are hard to trust in a Titans offense that is heavily reliant on DeMarco Murray and the run game.

Dez Bryant

Baltimore Ravens
10/30/16, 7:15 PM ET

Dez Bryant officially active for SNF

As expected, Bryant is active for Sunday night’s tilt with Philadelphia. It’s unclear if he’ll be limited at all, but he does make for an enticing option in prime-time formats given that he’ll be in a favorable WR/CB match-up all evening. Bryant was close to being active for the Cowboys’ Week 6 game (they had a bye last weekend), so it’s not likely that he’s going to be out there to act as a decoy. Dallas is still going to want to heavy utilize the running game, but Bryant figures to be the most prominent member of the receiving game when Dak Prescott does take it to the air. Bryant figures to run most of his routes against Eagles LCB Nolan Carroll, who has received the 8th-worst PFF grade among corners on the Week 8 slate.

Ty Montgomery

New England Patriots
10/30/16, 3:03 PM ET

Ty Montgomery officially inactive

Confirming that Montgomery is inactive today against the Falcons. He warmed up with the team, but his illness will prevent him from playing. Desmond Trufant will be focusing on Jordy Nelson and Green Bay isn’t going to lean on their decimated backfield today. This should provide Davante Adams with plenty of targets all game. Despite his big outing last week, he’s still cheap across the industry.

Tyrell Williams

Travis Benjamin,Tyrell Williams, and Hunter Henry all active for Chargers

As expected, all three players will suit up this afternoon in Denver. Both Williams and Benjamin will benefit from Aqib Talib’s absence today. As for Henry, he did well against the Broncos two weeks ago. He posted a 6/83/1 line in that one, and will look to replicate that success today. It’ll certainly be tougher this time around with the game being played in Denver.

DeMarcus Ware will play against Chargers

It’ll be his first game since fracturing his forearm in Week 2. It’s good news for a Bronco’s defense that will without their best cornerback, Aqib Talib. Ware, who logged 2.5 sacks in the first two weeks, will help Denver keep pressure on Philip Rivers. Football Outsiders ranks San Diego’s pass protection 28th in the league.

TY Montgomery and Randall Cobb ruled out per Jay Glazer

The absence of Randall Cobb was expected however there was no indication prior to lock that TY Montgomery would sit. Montgomery had been dealing with an illness this week but all indications were that he would play. In the absence of both Montgomery and Cobb, Davante Adams becomes an intriguing value play. This also provides a very small bump to Knile Davis who will need to shoulder the load at RB with Montgomery out.

Aqib Talib ruled OUT against Chargers

Talib is going to miss the Bronco’s rematch with the Chargers today. This is a major blow to their elite defense, and it’s an upgrade for the Charger’s passing game. Talib has three of Denver’s five interceptions this season.

Lamar Miller

New Orleans Saints
10/30/16, 12:45 PM ET

Lamar Miller's in-game status will be "fluid"

Houston is going to play it by ear with Lamar Miller. The number of snaps he plays today will be determined by how much pain he’s in as the game progresses. He’s a very risky play in fantasy today, despite the favorable matchup.

Michael Floyd

Baltimore Ravens

Cardinals plan to keep Michael Floyd limited Sunday

This news comes from Jay Glazer, who hedged his bets by adding that this is Arizona’s plan “for now.” Depending on how he feels in the game, he could see more snaps than expected, but it would be surprising to see him get a normal workload. He can’t really be trusted to produce in fantasy today.

Martellus Bennett

New England Patriots

Martellus Bennett active

After missing practice on Friday there was some concern about Bennett’s status this week. Those concerns appear to be overblown though as Bennett is officially active versus the Bills.

Malcolm Mitchell

New England Patriots
10/30/16, 12:04 PM ET

Malcolm Mitchell inactive Sunday

Mitchell (hamstring) wasn’t really on the fantasy map, but Chris Hogan and Danny Amendola should see the field more without him in the lineup. Hogan has been quiet this year — he hasn’t had a game with more than four receptions — but he’s taking a stroll down narrative street. Hogan played for the Bills the first three seasons of his career, but signed with the Patriots this offseason after the Bills refused to match their offer. Fortunately for Hogan, he’ll line up with Ronald Darby, who’s allowing 0.47 fantasy points per route defended, the highest mark among all corners.

Dwayne Washington

Denver Broncos
10/30/16, 11:56 AM ET

Dwayne Washington INACTIVE Sunday

This news is surprising; Washington is a healthy scratch today. This means Detroit is confident in Theo Riddick’s health and that they’re prepared to give Zach Zenner some work as well. Game flow should benefit Riddick in this one as the Lions are 2-point road dogs. He’s a nice play on DraftKings today where he’s only $5,000 and should benefit from their full PPR scoring format.

Michael Floyd

Baltimore Ravens
10/30/16, 11:51 AM ET

Michael Floyd and John Brown both active Sunday

Floyd has a hamstring injury and it’s a bit surprising that he’s playing. It’s certainly possible he’s limited, so he isn’t a great target. Unfortunately, this hurts the value of J.J. Nelson, who had been shaping up as an interesting tournament flier. Arizona heads into their matchup with the Panthers as 2.5-point underdogs. They should be throwing quite a bit, which is good for John Brown. He should pick up a solid volume of targets today against a lackluster pass defense.

Joe Haden is officially active for the Browns. He had been questionable all week with a groin injury. He’ll likely be matched up with Brandon Marshall today.
