Tyler Eifert expected to play a quarter of the Bengals' snaps

Adding to a previous report. We now have a better idea of Eifert’s role today; he should be on the field for about a quarter of the snaps today. He has touchdown upside, even in this limited role, making him worth a tournament flier. Andy Dalton plays at an elevated level with Eifert in the lineup, making the quarterback an even better fantasy option.

Jimmy Smith active against the Jets

Smith (concussion) completely contained Odell Beckham last week (two catches for 11 yards) until he was forced to exit the game. After he left, Beckham went off for 211 yards and two touchdowns on six receptions. Smith’s presence is definitely a downgrade for Marshall. However, the last time Geno Smith was quarterback he threw to Marshall 18 times. He should still be a target monster today, especially since the Jets will likely struggle to run the ball on the Ravens. Baltimore has one of the best run defenses in the league. Look for Geno to throw a lot and hone in on Marshall.

Joe Haden ruled OUT Sunday

Haden (groin) won’t be available for the Browns game against the Bengals today. Cleveland has a terrible pass defense as it is and they’ll continue to give up tons of yards without Haden in the lineup. A.J. Green should be able to put up big numbers today. The primary concern is game flow. The Bengals are 10-point favorites and might get up too big too early, which would lead them to run more than pass. In those situations they usually rely on Jeremy Hill, who makes for an interesting value option in tournaments. He’s been banged up over the past couple of weeks, but he’s off the injury report now and should be good to go. Hill has touchdown upside today.

DeSean Jackson officially active Sunday

As expected, Jackson will suit up for the Redskins today. He has a great matchup with the Lions, who allowed Kenny Britt to go off for 136 yards and two touchdowns last week. Football Outsiders ranks the Lions 31st in pass DVOA. Jackson is definitely in play for tournaments.

Stefon Diggs officially active Sunday

Diggs (groin) is all set to take on the Eagles today. The game is expected to see high winds, which could potentially limit Bradford’s ability to throw the ball deep on a few plays. Leodis McKelvin is back in the lineup, which is bad news for Diggs as they should see each other on a healthy number of snaps. The game has the lowest total of the week at 39 points, so there isn’t a lot of offense expected in this one.

LeSean McCoy officially active

Updating an earlier item. LeSean McCoy is officially active. Adam Schefter said the Bills are expected to limit McCoy to 25-35 snaps. On the other end of the spectrum Ian Rapoport said McCoy “should be his normal self”. I’d still expect McCoy to be limited today but it still mostly removes Mike Gillislee from consideration.

Jamaal Charles officially active vs. Saints

Chiefs’ RB Jamaal Charles is officially active versus the Saints. Charles had been doubtful earlier in the week. While this news may move some DFS players off Spencer Ware, it really shouldn’t. Charles only played 15 snaps last week. It would be a shock to see him play even that many this week. Ware played 40 snaps last week. He’s still playable in cash games against a Saints defense that has already given up 12 touchdowns to RBs this season.

Snaps last week were Ware 40, Charles 15, West 8. Touches were Ware 26, Charles 11, West 3.

Terrelle Pryor officially active Sunday

Adding to a previous report. Pryor is active today, so it appears he didn’t suffer any setbacks leading up to the game. He’s the primary target on the Browns, so he should see a high volume of looks if he plays a full complement of snaps. There’s definitely a risk that he’ll be limited. Andrew Hawkins and Ricardo Louis make for interesting pivots off Pryor. They’re the second and third receivers in targets and they’ve both had looks inside the red zone. The Browns should be throwing a lot today as they’re 10-point underdogs.

RotoGrinders Vegas props have been posted for all games starting at 1:00 ET. The remainder of the games will be updated as they are posted in Vegas. The page is now sortable by position and filterable by slate. Some highlights of the early game props show DeMarco Murray as far and away the top running back. He has a prop of 92.5 rushing yards. At QB, Vegas sees Andy Dalton and Kirk Cousins as strong value options. At WR, the usual suspects appear at the top with Julio Jones, AJ Green and Mike Evans checking in with the highest yardage props. There are also intriguing value options at every position. Latavius Murray will play Sunday

This is expected as Murray was able to practice all week. He’s missed the past two games with turf toe, but neither DeAndre Washington or Jalen Richard broke out in his absence. Oakland will employ a three-man running back committee, which means none of the backs are strong fantasy plays in Week 7.

Robert Woods officially ruled out, Justin Hunter will start

Hunter will start opposite Marquise Goodwin when the Bills visit the Dolphins Sunday. He scored a touchdown in each of the past two games, despite having just four targets in that stretch. He costs the minimum across the industry and Tyrod Taylor seems to trust him in the red zone. Hunter is definitely worth a tournament flier against a very bad Miami secondary. If you want to go down narrative street, Hunter was cut by the Dolphins a month ago; he’ll want to show them something today.

Heavy winds expected for Vikings-Eagles game

Fortunately, there aren’t any games expecting rain today, but a few are going to see some wind. Most notably, Philadelphia will have sustained winds over 20 mph with gusts exceeding 30 mph. This is a downgrade to both kickers, and may have a negative impact on some deep throws. There are several other games that will have winds around 15 mph or above; our weather page has the complete forecast.

Chiefs "optimistic" Jamaal Charles can handle a limited workload Sunday

Charles experienced swelling in his knee this week and the Chiefs want to be cautious with his health. If he plays, it will be on a limited basis, making Spencer Ware one of the best running backs available. He has a dream matchup with the Saints defense, who have allowed the most rushing touchdowns in the NFL (11). The Chiefs successfully ran the ball against the Raiders last week, expect them to take a similar approach in Week 7. Ware should have a high volume of touches and he should be effective with his opportunities.

Terrelle Pryor will play Sunday, barring setback

Pryor (hamstring) will technically be a game time decision, but he’s expected to suit up. He’s coming off a monster game with nine receptions and two touchdowns. Cincinnati ranks 24th in pass DVOA, according to Football Outsiders, and they’ve allowed the second-most passing touchdowns (14). The Browns will likely be throwing a lot today as they’re 10-point underdogs, which means Pryor should pick up a good amount of targets even if he isn’t 100%.

Eifert will make his season debut against the Browns today. He’ll be on a snap count, but may be worth a tournament flier based on his matchup and red zone usage. The Bengals should make plenty of trips inside the 20 today. Andy Dalton takes an upgrade with Eifert in, even on a limited basis; his per game averages jump from 233.7 yards, 1.21 touchdowns, and 0.96 interceptions to 262.25 yards, 1.96 touchdowns, and 0.82 interceptions.
