Dez Bryant will play this week

Coming off their bye week it was expected that Cowboys WR Dez Bryant would return to action after missing the last three games. That has now been confirmed. The Cowboys host the Eagles on Sunday Night – it’s a tough match up against a tough Eagles defense so it’s probably to take a wait and see approach, at least this week.

Jay Cutler cleared to return to action

Bears Head Coach John Fox stated QB Jay Cutler has been cleared to return to action. With Brian Hoyer having suffered a broken arm in the teams last game, Cutler could return as the starting QB this week against the Bears host the Vikings on Monday Night Football.

Geno Smith believed to have torn ACL

Geno Smith’s return as the starting QB of the New York Jets appears to be short lived as reports have come out that believe he has torn an ACL. The Jets are awaiting MRI results to confirm but it looks as if Ryan Fitzpatrick will return to under center this week.

Jaron Brown suffers ACL tear; season could be over

Initial reports have Cardinals WR having suffered an ACL tear in the team’s 6-6 thriller with the Seahawks last night. If tests confirm the tear, Brown’s season will be done and it will weaken an already thin Cardinals receiving corps (with the other Brown – John already injured). J.J. Nelson would receive an increased role.

Seattle Seahawks

Seattle Seahawks
10/23/16, 7:41 PM ET

Kam Chancellor officially inactive against the Cardinals

Chancellor missed last week’s game against the Falcons as well. Matt Ryan ended up throwing for 335 yards and three touchdowns in that one. The Cardinals’ passing game hasn’t been nearly as good as Atlanta’s, and they will likely struggle more than the Falcons did.

C.J. Prosise

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

C.J. Prosise active for Seahawks, C.J. Spiller scratched

Beat writer Gregg Bell believes Spiller’s scratch indicates Prosise may cut into Christine Michael’s early down work. Even so, Prosise’s volume will be minor and he isn’t a fantasy play against the Cardinals.

Jaron Brown

Arizona Cardinals
10/23/16, 7:20 PM ET

Jaron Brown active against the Seahawks

Brown hurt his knee towards the end of the game against the Jets last week. He’s healthy enough to play tonight though, and he could see a solid number of targets with John Brown out. His knee injury is definitely a concern, as is the tough matchup.

Carson Palmer

Arizona Cardinals
10/23/16, 7:16 PM ET

Carson Palmer will play against the Seahawks, as expected

Palmer was expected to have a big game against the Jets last week, but that didn’t happen; he threw for 213 yards and one touchdown. David Johnson ran extremely well in that one and they were up the whole game. He didn’t really need to do a lot. Johnson will likely have a tougher time tonight, which means Palmer will be asked to do more. Of course, Seattle has an elite secondary, so he’ll have his work cut out for him. He’ll be without John Brown, one of his favorite targets. Fortunately, he still has Larry Fitzgerald; Palmer will probably target him a lot tonight.

John Brown

Buffalo Bills
10/23/16, 7:06 PM ET

John Brown ruled OUT against the Seahakws

Brown has been dealing with leg pain all week and was doubtful heading into a Sunday night matchup with the Seahawks. Look for Larry Fitzgerald to pick up extra targets tonight. He did well last year against Seattle, averaging 8 receptions, 92.5 yards, and 0.5 touchdowns over two games.

Julian Edelman

New England Patriots
10/23/16, 3:25 PM ET

Bennett, Blount, and Edelman all active for Patriots

Same thing as last week. All three were listed as questionable heading into the game and all three played. The Patriots are 7.5-point favorites in Pittsburgh today. It sets up as a good matchup for all three players. Edelman has been quiet, but his breakout is coming sooner rather than later. Pittsburgh struggles to defend the slot, so this is a nice spot for him.

Mike Davis

Shaun Draughn and Mike Davis listed as co-starters for 49ers

Earlier in the week it looked like Davis would be the starter and lead back, but that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore. Davis figures to handle more of the running work while Draughn will come in for most passing downs. It’s possible they end up very close to a 50/50 split.

Travis Benjamin

San Francisco 49ers
10/23/16, 2:57 PM ET

Travis Benjamin officially active Sunday

No surprise here; Bejamin will suit up for the Chargers’ game against the Falcons. He’ll likely see to much of Desmond Trufant, who has been excellent this season, to be a great fantasy play. Tyrell Williams may be the better option at receiver. However, the Falcons have the most trouble covering tight ends and receiving running backs. They allow over nine receptions per game to each position. Hunter Henry is definitely in play, even though Gates will take some of his workload away, and Melvin Gordon is solid option in full PPR formats.

Torrey Smith

Carolina Panthers
10/23/16, 2:48 PM ET

Torrey Smith officially active Sunday

Smith (back) was listed as questionable, but he’s all set to take on Tampa Bay this afternoon. Smith caught a 52-yard touchdown bomb from Kaepernick last week and tied for the team lead in targets (7). It definitely looks like Kap has better chemistry with Smith than Gabbert did. San Francisco is back home this week. They face a Tampa Bay defense that ranks 22nd in pass DVOA, according to Football Outsiders.

Jay Ajayi

Philadelphia Eagles
10/23/16, 12:18 PM ET

Jay Ajayi listed as starter for Miami, Arian Foster will back him up

Ajayi earned the starting role after his huge game against the Steelers last week. He rushed for over 200 yards and two touchdowns last week. On paper, the Bills and Steelers have similar rushing defense statistics, but game flow likely won’t go the way it did against Pittsburgh. Buffalo is favored by 2.5 points. Foster isn’t a viable fantasy play as he will likely see less than ten touches.

Phillip Dorsett

Las Vegas Raiders
10/23/16, 11:52 AM ET

Dorsett, Moncrief and Allen inactive for Colts

The Colts will be without several play makers on Sunday. Wide Receivers Phillip Dorsett and Donte Moncrief are out along with Tight End Dwayne Allen. There should be plenty of targets for TY Hilton at Wide Receiver while Jack Doyle gets a slight bump at Tight End. Chester Rogers could be worth a look but he’ll run most of his routes at Jason McCourty which limits his upside.
