LeSean McCoy and Robert Woods don't practice for Bills

It’s the second straight missed practice for the Bills star RB and he’s joined by their current #1 WR Robert Woods. Alarming news for sure and it seems more and more likely that McCoy might not be able to play this week. We’ll know more later in the week but if he can’t go it would be Mike Gillislee who would get the bulk of the work and he’d make for a viable value RB option. If Woods can’t go, look to Justin Hunter to get some more looks and coming off of TD’s in back-to-back weeks he might be an intriguing DFS option.

Tyler Eifert

Tyler Eifert continues to progress; practices today

Still no word on whether Eifert will play or not but he’s making progress towards doing so as he took part in practice today. If he is able to go, he’s a viable TE option, even if limited as his TD upside is there in a great match up against the Browns. We’ll continue to monitor the news on the Bengals TE.

Joe Flacco

Cincinnati Bengals
10/20/16, 11:40 AM ET

Joe Flacco and Steve Smith do not practice for Ravens

Smith is expected to not play again this week but Flacco missing practice for a second straight day is alarming news for the Ravens and puts his playing status in doubt for this weekend. Ryan Mallett would be the starting QB if Flacco can’t play. We’ll keep an eye on Flacco’s status and update you as soon as more info comes in.

Ty Montgomery

New England Patriots
10/20/16, 10:09 AM ET

Ty Montgomery should receive the bulk of RB snaps tonight for Packers

Packers beat writer Rob Demovsky stated this morning that he believes Ty Montgomery will receive the bulk of RB snaps for the team tonight when they take on the Bears. Most of his looks should come via the passing game with a few carries here and there. Montgomery makes for a great play on PPR sites like DraftKings, especially at his price point, and he’ll be very highly owned – he’s tough to fade though despite that possibility because of his price and usage.

Allen Hurns

Miami Dolphins
10/19/16, 6:31 PM ET

Allen Hurns has limited practice Wednesday

Hurns is dealing with a shoulder injury, but should be able to play Sunday. Surprisingly, Hurns is leading the Jaguars in receiving yards. He’s only averaging 4.0 receptions per game though, and has one touchdown. Jacksonville plays Oakland this week, which is a nice spot for Hurns. Oakland has allowed the most passing yards per game this season. They also have a bad rush defense, but since the Jaguars haven’t been successful running the ball, there’s a good chance they’ll rely on Blake Bortles’ arm. The game has a pretty high total of 48.5 points. Allen Robinson should lead the Jaguars in receiving in this game, but Hurns nearly doubled A-Rob’s target total last week against the Bears (11 to 6), and he’ll have some tournament appeal against the Raiders.

Matt Forte

New York Jets
10/19/16, 6:38 PM ET

Matt Forte limited in practice Wednesday

Forte has a knee injury, but should be ready to play against the Ravens on Sunday. Forte started off the season hot, averaging 98 yards over the first two games, and scoring three touchdowns in Week 2 alone. He has since cooled off; his touches have decreased each week (only 10 in Week 6) and he hasn’t hit 65 total yards in any of the past four games. Bilal Powell has out-snapped Forte in two of the last three games, nearly doubling Forte’s snap count in Week 6 (39 to 21). New York has been using Powell much more in the passing game, he’s averaging 5.25 receptions per game over the past four. Both backs were shut down against the Cardinals — they combined for 44 total yards — and they’ll have another tough opponent in the Ravens this weekend. Baltimore is allowing the fewest rushing yards per game (69.7) and have allowed just one touchdown on the ground. Powell offers more upside as he’s been targeted in the red zone six times, the fourth-most among running backs. He’s a much better play on full PPR sites like DraftKings since a lot of his fantasy production comes through the air. With his low price of $3,700 on DK, he projects as our 2nd points-per-dollar running back behind Jacquizz Rodgers.

Frank Gore

New York Jets
10/19/16, 5:37 PM ET

Frank Gore, Dwayne Allen, Vontae Davis, Darius Butler all miss Wednesday's practice

There is no major cause for concern with missed practices this early in the week, but with how banged up the Colts secondary has been, they’d very much like to see Vontae Davis and Darius Butler back at practice quickly. Gore doesn’t appear to be in any danger of sitting this week, while Allen looks likely to miss at least one game due to his sprained ankle. Jack Doyle will take the reins at TE until he’s able to return.

Carlos Hyde

Jacksonville Jaguars
10/19/16, 5:42 PM ET

Carlos Hyde confirms he'll miss Week 7, expects to return Week 8

Fortunately, Hyde doesn’t believe his shoulder injury is serious. He’ll definitely miss their next game though, leaving Mike Davis in the lead role, with Shaun Draughn coming in for passing down work. Both players cost the minimum across the industry this week. Tampa Bay has allowed five rushing touchdowns over the past three games. Davis is probably worth some exposure in tournaments.

Dwayne Washington

Denver Broncos
10/19/16, 6:39 PM ET

Dwayne Washington limited in practice Wednesday

He missed their last game as he’s dealing with foot and ankle injuries. If he’s able to play Sunday, he’ll likely split time with Zach Zenner and Justin Forsett. Neither back was particularly effective against the Rams in Washington’s absence, but Washington himself hasn’t been that great either. If his lone run above ten yards was removed (he had one for 28 yards against the Titans), he would be averaging 2.8 yards per carry this season. However, the Lions have a plus matchup this Sunday against a very bad Redskins’ rushing defense, so it’s a situation worth monitoring.

Markus Wheaton

Philadelphia Eagles
10/19/16, 6:40 PM ET

Markus Wheaton not expected to play Sunday

Wheaton didn’t play last week against the Dolphins due to a shoulder injury. Pittsburgh has a bye next week, so he should be good to go in Week 8 after having extra time to rehab the injury. He hasn’t looked great this season, so he won’t be a viable play when he returns, especially with Landry Jones playing quarterback for the Steelers.

Phillip Dorsett

Las Vegas Raiders
10/19/16, 6:41 PM ET

Phillip Dorsett doesn't practice Wednesday, T.Y. Hilton limited

Dorsett has a hamstring injury, which caused him to sit out practice Wednesday. There was a lot of hype surround the receiver when Donte Moncrief was sidelined, but he hasn’t delivered yet; he’s only had one game with more than two receptions. Hilton appears to be getting a rest day and should be fine to play Sunday against the Titans. Hilton should be a target monster in that game. Tennessee has a tough pass defense, but they allowed Terrelle Pryor to catch nine passes for 75 yards and two touchdowns last week, so they’re definitely not infallible.

Latavius Murray

Buffalo Bills
10/19/16, 5:10 PM ET

Latavius Murray practices Wednesday

He remains questionable for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars, but this is a good sign. If he plays, Oakland will run with a three-man committee featuring Murray, Jalen Richard, and DeAndre Washington. Unfortunately, that would make them all poor fantasy options. Neither Washington or Richard managed to have very productive games even when Murray was sidelined. When Murray was playing, he wasn’t getting enough volume to put up solid numbers consistently, although he scored in three of the four games he played.

Julian Edelman

New England Patriots
10/19/16, 6:42 PM ET

Julian Edelman limited in practice, Gronk removed from injury report

Edelman has been on the injury report due to a foot issue since Brady returned to the lineup. He’s also been pretty quiet in both games, averaging 4.5 receptions and 32.5 yards with no touchdowns. Edelman is expected to play this weekend, and one would suspect his breakout game is going to come sooner rather than later. Gronkowski has been stellar since Brady returned, going off for 162 yards and touchdown in Week 6 against the Bengals. He’s in another great spot this weekend against the Steelers and their subpar pass defense.

John Brown

Buffalo Bills
10/19/16, 6:43 PM ET

John Brown and Jaron Brown do not practice Wednesday

Jaron Brown is dealing with a knee injury and is considered day-to-day. John Brown was listed with a hamstring injury, but the extent of the injury is not clear at this time. We should know more on both players tomorrow.

Randall Cobb

New York Jets
10/19/16, 6:44 PM ET

Randall Cobb removed from injury report

Chicago is going to be down it’s several cornerbacks and Green Bay will be playing a practice squad running back and a receiver in their backfield. It would make sense for the Packers to throw quite a bit Thursday night. Cobb should have a good volume of targets, especially if Davante Adams (questionable, concussion) can’t play. He may also pick up some work at running back.
