Stefon Diggs to be shadowed by Janoris Jenkins Monday night
New York will be thin in the secondary tonight as Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Eli Apple are both injured. DRC will come off the bench, while Eli Apple is still considered doubtful suit up. Pro Football Focus grades Jenkins at a very nice 78.1, one of the highest scores in the league. Diggs will still have a 10-point advantage though, as he’s scored an 88 on the season, the highest mark among starting receivers. Quarterback Sam Bradford won’t shy away from targeting Diggs as he’s by far and away his favorite wide receiver; Diggs has nearly double the looks of Adam Thielen, who is currently second on the team. If anyone were to benefit from this matchup it will be tight end Kyle Rudolph as he should have a much easier time getting open. Rudolph has two touchdowns on the season to Diggs’ one and an equivalent number of targets (26).

Jay Cutler still considered day-to-day
John Fox hasn’t really provided a timetable for Cutler’s return, other than referring to him as day-to-day. He’ll apparently be evaluated further at Wednesday’s practice, and we’ll hopefully have a better idea of when he’s expected back at that point. Brian Hoyer will continue to get the nod at QB until Cutler is healthy enough to return. The Bears offense is looking like one of the least intimidating in the league.

Zach Ertz cleared and "ready to go"
Doctors have cleared the Eagles TE from his rib injury. He stated he’s 100% and ready to go. He’ll be a viable TE option this week going against the TE sieve Lions but his presence makes Trey Burton and Brent Celek not viable options.

Rashad Jennings OUT tonight vs Vikings
Jennings had been questionable all week with a thumb injury and the team has ruled him out in advance of tonight’s game against the Vikings. Orleans Darkwa should see the bulk of the early down and goal line work and has some DFS value at his price point despite a tough match up against the Vikings. Bobby Rainey will be the passing down back and also has some value on PPR sites like DraftKings, especially if the Giants fall behind.

Tevin Coleman carries the sickle cell trait and is concerned about the impact the high altitude in Denver will have on him. His touches might be limited, or he could even possibly miss the game altogether. It’s a situation that we’ll be closely monitoring throughout the week. If he can’t go, Devonta Freeman gets a considerable boost in usage but it comes against arguably the best defense in the NFL.

The Bears WR was in obvious pain yesterday and will have an MRI done on his injured ankle in the near future. We’ll update you as soon as the results come in. If he is unable to go this week, Eddie Royal will be a great DFS option coming off a 100+ yard game yesterday.

Jamaal Charles is officially active for the Chiefs. He’s only expected to play 10-15 snaps as the Chiefs ease him back from injury. Charles worked primarily with the scout team this week in practice. With Charcandrick West inactive, and Charles limited, Spencer Ware should be the Chiefs’s feature back again this week.

Chiefs DB Phillip Gaines inactive
Antonio Brown gets a slight upgrade with Chiefs’ defensive back Phillip Gaines officially inactive. Marcus Peters is the Chiefs’ best DB but he plays 91% of his snaps at RCB while Gaines holds things down at LCB. On the other side of the ball, the Steelers should move Antonio Brown around to get the matchup they want. To date, Brown has played 43% at LWR, 13% SWR, and 44% RWR.

He took a shot from Deion Jones on a two-point conversion, and was immediately shaken up. Newton was evaluated briefly on the sideline before being taken into the locker room for further testing. His return is questionable.

Hunter Henry gets his second straight start in the veteran’s absence. He did really well in his first game, hauling in all five targets for 72 yards. Hunter currently projects as our highest points-per-dollar tight end on DraftKings, and second on FanDuel.

Even through Dez flew to San Francisco and refused to rule himself out, it’s now official: he is inactive today, as we expected. Cole Beasley and Jason Witten will pick up some extra targets, and many analysts are praising Brice Butler, Bryant’s replacement. Butler is a 6’3” wideout who hasn’t done much yet in the NFL, but has a lot of potential.

During a rushing play he got his ankle twisted and left the field with a serious limp. As of now, his return is doubtful, leaving Theo Riddick with all of the backfield work. Washington had 3 touches for 14 yards before exiting.
Jamaal Charles to get 10-15 snaps against Steelers
Spencer Ware is definitely still in play, assuming this report holds true. If Charcandrick West were healthy Charles would most likely be inactive, so the Chiefs are going to ease him back in and use him to spell Ware. Pittsburgh has allowed the most receiving fantasy points to running backs in PPR formats this season. Ware has averaged 3.3 receptions per game, piling on 7 catches week 1 against San Diego, a team that is similarly deficient in defending running backs in the passing game. Pittsburgh ranks 15th in rushing defense DVOA, so Ware should produce on the ground as well.

DeSean Jackson will have a tough matchup with Haden for most of the game. In terms of PFF grades, it’s a negative matchup for him: Jackson score 60.3 on the year, while Haden has one of the best grades of any corner at 85.3. Jamison Crowder, on the other hand, has a terrific matchup in slot — where he lines up 74% of the time — with Tramon Williams; Crowder has a 27.9-point advantage (70.1 to 42.2). Crowder is tied for the team lead in targets (24) and has been Cousins’ favorite red zone option so far with 7 target inside the 20 (DeSean has 3).
