He’s getting closer to returning to action but it won’t be this week. Tyler Kroft and C.J. Uzomah will continue to split time but neither are viable DFS options going against one of the best defenses in the NFL in the Broncos.

Arian Foster ruled out for Sunday
As expected, Arian Foster has been ruled out for this week’s game for the Dolphins against the Browns. Jay Ajayi will start in a juicy match up but it’s the Dolphins passing game that you want to target.

News broke early this morning of Seferian-Jenkins being arrested for DUI and the Buccaneers wasted no time in releasing him. Cameron Brate will get all the TE targets now and is a viable low-priced punt option going against the Rams this weekend.

TE Virgil Green did not travel with the Broncos for their game against the Bengals and will not play this weekend. Head Coach Gary Kubiak said John Phillips would get the start with Jeff Heuerman also seeing time. Neither are viable options.

Vikings Head Coach Mike Zimmer stated that their blossoming second-year WR Stefon Diggs missed practice purely as a precautionary reason and is expected to play on Sunday. It’s a reason to have some slight concern and given Diggs’ projected high ownership there might be an argument to fading him.

Everyone will be on the likes of Antonio Brown, Jarvis Landry, and Travis Benjamin this week and rightfully so. In order to win GPP’s, however, you are likely going to have to differentiate your lineups from the pack. One way to do that is to target WRs who have plus match ups with expected lower ownership. Let’s look at five that meet this criteria:
Michael Crabtree, OAKLAND – Crabtree gets the privilege of squaring off against Pro Football Focus’s (“PFF) worst rated CB in Perrish Cox and has the best PFF WR/CB match up listed. His projected ownership is under 8%.
Eric Decker, NEW YORK JETS – Decker squares off against Chiefs CB Phillip Gaines who is a bottom 20 ranked CB. He has projected ownership of <8%.
Jordan Matthews, PHILADELPHIA – Matthews will square off against Steelers CB Sean Davis who is the 7th worst rated CB at PFF. He has a top 10 PFF WR/CB match up with projected ownership of <5%.
Jeremy Maclin, KANSAS CITY – believe it or not, Darrelle Revis is the second worst graded CB by PFF thus far this season. Maclin gets to square off against him this week and has projected ownership of <8%.
DeSean Jackson, WASHINGTON – Jackson gets to face off against young, unproven Eli Apple who ranks middle of the pack in PFF’s grades. He is also projected to come in at under 5% ownership and has as much big play upside as anyone.

The Bears had practice today and WR Alshon Jeffery was limited while QB Jay Cutler did not take part. Cutler is doubtful to play and Brian Hoyer will be the probable starter. Jeffery will likely play but it’s a situation to keep a close eye on – we’ll update you as news comes in on him.

The Falcons elite WR continues to miss practice but their Head Coach Dan Quinn is optimistic that he’ll be able to play Monday in what is a great spot for him going against the Saints. We’ll keep an eye on the situation heading into the game and update you if anything changes.

Jets Head Coach Todd Bowles stated that Marshall was probably a game-time decision for the teams game against the Chiefs. Given Marshall’s history of playing through injury and the fact that he took part (albeit in a limited fashion) in today’s practice, the odds are more likely than not that he will play. It’s a late afternoon Sunday game, so have some options available to you if you play on a late-swap site like DraftKings and be wary of utilizing him on early lock sites like FanDuel.

Virgil Green misses Friday's practice, very questionable for Sunday
Green is probably on the outside looking in as far as his chances go for suiting up Sunday. Jeff Heuerman is expected to play this week and he’d be the primary option at TE if Green is unable to play. It’s still tough to get behind any of the Broncos pass-catchers with Trevor Siemian’s upside being rather limited. Heuerman would be worth a look in GPPs, but he’s no where near the cash game radar.

Colts Head Coach Chuck Pagano stated that WR T.Y. Hilton missed practice today to rest due to some soreness. He’s fine and there’s no concern that he will not play this Sunday. If anything changes regarding his status, we’ll let you know.

Walker appears to be legitimately questionable for Sunday, but fortunately we’ll have word on his status before lock given that the Titans kick off at 1 PM. Still, the Titans coaching staff didn’t seem to be encouraged by his recovery path on Thursday (he was limited in practice) and considering he hasn’t gotten a full practice in all week, there is a decent chance he misses this contest. It’s a nice match-up with the Raiders linebackers, so if Walker does suit up he’ll be a fine GPP target who will likely be available at lower ownership given the injury concerns.

Panthers Head Coach Ron Rivera confirmed that RB Jonathan Stewart would be out this week and that Cameron Artis-Payne would be the starter. He added that he expected Artis-Payne to split the workload with Fozzy Whittaker. It’s a tough match up against the Vikings and with the split work load and other viable value options at RB, these two can be avoided this weekend.

The Bills WR has missed practice all this week and that has not yet changed as he did not take part in the team walk through this morning. It’s an ominous sign – one that puts his playing status on Sunday in serious doubt. Robert Woods and Marquise Goodwin would become the top WR options for the Bills which as a team (outside of perhaps LeSean McCoy) should be avoided in a tough match up against the Cardinals. We’ll keep you updated on Watkins as soon as we learn more.

The Eagles have announced that TE Zach Ertz is out for this weeks game meaning it’s another week of Trey Burton as the primary TE receiving threat. Burton and rookie QB Carson Wentz have shown a good connection and with Burton at or near the minimum price around the industry, he makes for an excellent GPP play this week. That said, it’s not the best match up as Pittsburgh is 7th in TE DVOA. Brent Celek will also play at TE but he was a non-factor last week (put up a goose egg) and is an easy fade.
