Jamison Crowder

Washington Commanders
12/31/21, 6:03 PM ET

NYJ WR Jamison Crowder listed doubtful for Sunday

Jamison Crowder has been listed doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Losing Crowder would be a big hit to the New York offense that is already struggling as is. Braxton Berrios and Keelan Cole will become the top receivers and could be considered as value options this weekend.

Kadarius Toney

Cleveland Browns
12/31/21, 6:00 PM ET

NYG WR Kadarius Toney, WR John Ross, and WR Collin Johnson listed out Sunday

Kadarius Toney, John Ross, and Collin Johnson all listed out for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears. The New York Giants continue to be ravaged by injuries to their receiving corps and will only have one healthy active roster wideout this weekend, Kenny Golladay. Golladay will be Mike Glennon’s top target with a bunch of practice squad members filling out the rest of the ranks. It remains difficult to trust any member of the Giants offense in DFS contests.

Andy Dalton

Carolina Panthers
12/31/21, 5:19 PM ET

CHI QB Andy Dalton will start Sunday

Andy Dalton will start Sunday’s game against the New York Giants according to HC Matt Nagy. Justin Fields has been working his way back from an injury and the Bears will continue to play it safe and not rush him back. With Dalton set to lead the team, all pass-catchers will see a slight increase in expected production due to Dalton being a more traditional quarterback than Fields.

Jerry Jeudy

Cleveland Browns
12/31/21, 3:58 PM ET

DEN WR Jerry Jeudy placed on COVID list

Jerry Jeudy has been placed on the COVID list and will miss Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. With Jeudy out, Courtland Sutton (could be placed on COVID list) should lead the Broncos receiving corps and can be considered one of the better plays on the slate due to expected volume. It will be important to monitor Sutton’s status as HC Vic Fangio mentioned that he could possibly placed on the COVID list as well which would open up a ton of value at wide receiver.

Trenton Irwin

New York Jets
12/31/21, 3:46 PM ET

CIN WR Trenton Irwin placed on COVID list

Trenton Irwin has been placed on the COVID list ahead of Cincinnati’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Irwin was not expected to play a major role in the offense and his absence will likely not be DFS relevant.

Emmanuel Sanders

Buffalo Bills
12/31/21, 3:41 PM ET

BUF WR Emmanuel Sanders listed questionable for Sunday

Emmanuel Sanders has been listed questionable for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. If he were to be ruled out, Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis could play larger roles in the passing game than they are normally accustomed to and would be better plays. It will be important to check Sanders’s status when inactives are released 90 minutes prior to kickoff on Sunday.

Tyler Conklin

Los Angeles Chargers
12/31/21, 3:26 PM ET

MIN TE Tyler Conklin listed questionable for Sunday

Tyler Conklin has been listed questionable for Sunday night’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Conklin, if avilable, would be expected to play an important role in the passing game with Adam Thielen out for the rest of the season. If Conklin were unable to suit up, Chris Herndon would likely step into the primary tight end role and would need to be considered on the showdown slate as great value option that should play a large number of snaps. It is also worth noting that Ben Ellefson has been designated to start practicing from IR and has a chance to be activated this weekend. He could also help fill in for Conklin if he is unable to go.

Jordan Howard

New Orleans Saints
12/31/21, 1:31 PM ET

PHI RB Jordan Howard listed questionable for Sunday; RB Miles Sanders ruled out

Jordan Howard has been listed questionable for Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team while Miles Sanders has been ruled out. Sanders was not expected to play this week but Howard was expected to lead the backfield. If Howard were unable to suit up this weekend, Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell would likely split the work. Scott would handle much of the early down work with Gainwell handling most of the passing downs. Both Scott and Gainwell could be considered as value options based on expected volume.

Antonio Gibson

New England Patriots
12/31/21, 1:25 PM ET

WAS RB Antonio Gibson placed on COVID list

Antonio Gibson has been placed on the COVID list ahead of Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. With Gibson likely out, Jaret Patterson and Jonathan Williams will likely split work in the backfield. Patterson will see most of the early down work with Williams playing a role in the passing game. Patterson is likely the better DFS option as he is expected to see the majority of the high leverage touches.

Kirk Cousins

Atlanta Falcons
12/31/21, 1:19 PM ET

MIN QB Kirk Cousins placed on COVID list; Sean Mannion activated from COVID list and expected to start Sunday

Kirk Cousins has been placed on the COVID list, while Sean Mannion has been activated from the COVID list and is expected to start Sunday night against the Green Bay Packers. With Sean Mannion at quarterback, all Minnesota pass-catchers will see a decrease in expected production. It is likely that the Vikings try to ride their run game more making Dalvin Cook a stronger play on the showdown slate.

Lamar Jackson

Baltimore Ravens
12/30/21, 7:17 PM ET

BAL QB Lamar Jackson DNP Thursday; WR Devin Duvernay and FB Patrick Ricard returned to practice

Lamar Jackson logged a DNP Thursday, while Devin Duvernay and Patrick Ricard returned to practice ahead of the Ravens matchup against the Los Angeles Rams this Sunday. Lamar Jackson took a step backwards in his attempt to return this weekend after failing to log a practice today. Jackson’s status is extremely questionable now for Sunday and if he were unable to suit up, Tyler Huntley would likely draw the start. Huntley would need to be considered for DFS contests as he has impressed in the starts he has gotten so far this year and could be rostered at a discount. Duvernay seems to be trending towards a return and would likely slot back in as the third or fourth receiver for the Ravens. Duvernay would not be expected to see enough work to be considered in DFS contests at this time. If Ricard is able to suit up this weekend, he would assume his role as the fullback and his return would likely lead to Ty’Son Williams being inactive. It will be important to check the injury report released tomorrow to see the game designation given to Lamar Jackson as his status could drastically alter the slate.

Tevin Coleman

San Francisco 49ers
12/30/21, 5:57 PM ET

NYJ RB Tevin Coleman placed on COVID list

Tevin Coleman has been placed on the COVID list and will likely be out for this Sunday’s matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With Coleman likely out, Austin Walter and Ty Johnson will likely split backup reps behind Michael Carter who could see a slightly larger role than usual. It remains difficult to roster pieces of the Jets offense, especially in a tough matchup against the Buccaneers defense.

As reported by: Aaron Wilson

Mike Williams

Los Angeles Chargers
12/30/21, 5:54 PM ET

LAC WR Mike Williams activated from COVID list

Mike Williams has been activated from the COVID list ahead of the Chargers matchup against the Denver Broncos this Sunday. Williams should slot back in as the Chargers number two pass-catching option behind Keenan Allen. Williams can be considered in Chargers stacks and DFS contests in general due to his big play ability. As of now, there doesn’t seem to be any concern of a snap limit so Williams should be good to go.

As reported by: Aaron Wilson

Bryan Edwards

New Orleans Saints
12/30/21, 5:50 PM ET

LVR WR Bryan Edwards activated from COVID list

Bryan Edwards has been activated from the COVID list and will be available for this Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. Edwards should slot back in as the number three or four receiver for Derek Carr and will see a slightly increased workload with Darren Waller on the COVID list. Hunter Renfrow remains the Raiders receiver to roster in DFS contests.

Rondale Moore

Minnesota Vikings
12/30/21, 5:45 PM ET

ARI WR Rondale Moore returned to practice Thursday; RB James Conner and TE Demetrius Harris DNP

Rondale Moore returned to practice Thursday, while RB James Conner and TE Demetrius Harris DNP ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the Dallas Cowboys. HC Kliff Kingsbury said that he believes Conner and Moore will be game-time decisions and they remain day to day at this point. If Conner were to miss Chase Edmonds would be the lead back for the Cardinals with Eno Benjamin and Jonathan Ward available to back him up. If Moore were to miss, Christian Kirk, A.J. Green, and Antione Wesley could all play bigger roles in the Arizona passing game.
