New England Patriots
12/26/21, 7:21 PM ET

WAS RB Antonio Gibson officially ACTIVE; WR Curtis Samuel, WR Antonio Gandy-Golden, and K Brian Johnson listed inactive, K Joey Slye will handle kicking duties

As expected Antonio Gibson is officially active for Sunday night’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, while Curtis Samuel, Antonio Gandy-Golden, and Brian Johnson have all been listed inactive. Gibson is dealing with a toe injury but will give it a go in a divisional matchup against the Cowboys. Gibson should continue to lead the backfield but could be somewhat limited leading to more opportunities for Jaret Patterson, Jonathan Williams, and Wendell Smallwood, who will all be available. Patterson and Williams would be expected to mix in during the early downs while Smallwood would be expected to see more work in the passing game. With Samuel ruled out, Terry McLaurin will remain the top pass-catching option with DeAndre Carter and Adam Humphries expected to play larger roles. Brian Johnson is inactive, meaning Joey Slye will handle the kicking duties after being activated off IR yesterday.

LVR TE Darren Waller officially listed inactive Sunday

As expected, Darren Waller has officially been listed as inactive for Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos. With Waller officially ruled out, Foster Moreau will be the primary tight end but has been largely unimpressive the past few weeks. The main benefactors have actually been the wide receivers and specifically Hunter Renfrow (outside of last game). Moreau can be considered as a risky value option and Renfrow should remain a consideration in most formats.

Alex Collins

Seattle Seahawks
12/26/21, 3:22 PM ET

SEA RB Alex Collins inactive Sunday

Alex Collins has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears. Collins is a healthy scratch, meaning the Seattle backfield will be led by Rashad Penny with Travis Homer and DeeJay Dallas available to back him up. Penny should see most of the early down work with both Homer and Dallas playing bigger roles in the passing game. Penny is the back most likely to be the workhorse but the Seattle backfield depth chart seems to change weekly, so roster a member at your own risk.

With Foles as the starter, all Chicago pass-catchers should see a slight increase in expected production as Foles is a more traditional quarterback.

NYJ RB Austin Walter, RB La'Mical Perine, and WR Jamison Crowder listed inactive Sunday

Austin Walter, La’Mical Perine, and Jamison Crowder have all been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Walter and Perine inactive, Tevin Coleman and Ty Johnson will be available to backup Michael Carter, who should see the bulk of the work. The loss of Crowder will be a big hit to the New York offense that is already struggling as it is. Braxton Berrios and Keelan Cole will become the top receivers and could be considered as value options this weekend, though it is tough to trust any member of the Jets offense at this point.

Chicago Bears
12/26/21, 1:09 PM ET

BAL WR Devin Duvernay and FB Patrick Ricard listed inactive Sunday

Devin Duvernay and Patrick Ricard have been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Sammy Watkins should return to his role as the third receiver for the Ravens, so the loss of Duvernay shouldn’t be a big impact. With Ricard out, the Ravens will likely forego the fullback position.

BUF RB Matt Breida listed inactive Sunday

Matt Breida has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots. With Breida inactive, Devin Singletary and Zack Moss will man the backfield for the Bills. Danny Amendola

Houston Texans
12/26/21, 12:57 PM ET

HOU WR Danny Amendola and RB David Johnson listed inactive for Sunday

Danny Amendola and David Johnson have been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. With Amendola out, Chris Moore and Phillip Dorsett could play a larger role in the Houston offense but not a large enough role to be considered in DFS contests. With Johnson out, Rex Burkhead will lead the backfield with Royce Freeman and Jaylen Samuels available to back him up. The Chargers have a poor run defense but the Texans are likely to be playing from too far behind to take advantage of this. Still, Burkhead could be considered strictly from an expected volume standpoint and has the chance to fall into the endzone.

D'Andre Swift

Chicago Bears
12/26/21, 12:53 PM ET

DET RB D'Andre Swift listed inactive Sunday

D’Andre Swift has been listed inactive for Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. With Swift out, Jamaal Williams should lead the Detroit backfield with Craig Reynolds and Godwin Igwebuike available to back him up. Reynolds has been playing an increasing role so expect him to split carries with Williams. Williams can be considered as a value option but in the offense he is in combined with his likely time share, his upside is limited.
