ARI QB Kyler Murray and WR DeAndre Hopkins will both be game-time decisions on Sunday

ARI QB Kyler Murray and WR DeAndre Hopkins will both be game-time decisions on Sunday against their divisional rival the San Francisco 49ers. If Kyler Murray were to be unable to play Sunday, Colt McCoy would draw the start and all Cardinals pass-catchers would see a dip in expected production. Hopkins has only missed two games his entire career so will most likely try to suit up on Sunday but if he were to miss A.J. Green (questionable due to being on COVID list), Christian Kirk, and Rondale Moore would lead the receiving corps with tight end Zach Ertz also expected to play a larger role.

CAR QB Sam Darnold listed questionable for Sunday; HC Matt Rhule "hopeful" both Darnold and RB Christian McCaffrey will be able to play

Sam Darnold has been listed as questionable for Sunday and HC Matt Rhule is “hopeful” both Darnold and Christian McCaffrey will be able to play. If McCaffrey is unable to go this weekend it will once again be Chuba Hubbard leading the backfield with Ameer Abdullah and Royce Freeman available to back him up. If McCaffrey is activated in time for the game on Sunday he would likely be somewhat limited but still would be considered a top option due to his skillset. Darnold is still in concussion protocol while also dealing with a shoulder injury. If he were unable to go on Sunday, P.J. Walker would draw the start at quarterback and all pass-catchers would take a hit to their expected production.

Jalen Reagor

11/05/21, 11:46 AM ET

PHI WR Jalen Reagor will play Sunday; WR JJ Arcega-Whiteside will be inactive

Jalen Reagor will play Sunday against the Los Angeles Chargers while JJ Arcega-Whiteside will be inactive. Coach Sirianni expressed hope earlier in the week that Reagor would be able to play this weekend and he will be able to do just that. Reagor should slot back into his role as wide receiver 2 behind Devonta Smith and should see a healthy amount of targets in a game that will likely be high scoring. JJ Arcega-Whiteside did not practice all week and is still dealing with an ankle injury. Arcega-Whiteside is not expected to be DFS relevant and his absence should have little to no DFS impact.

11/05/21, 12:10 PM ET

CLE WR Donovan Peoples-Jones and TE Harrison Bryant listed questionable for Sunday

Donovan Peoples-Jones and Harrison Bryant have been listed questionable for Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. The Browns could really use both pass-catchers as they are struggling to find available bodies at this point. Peoples-Jones was expected to be the number two receiver behind Jarvis Landry following the release of Odell Beckham. If Peoples-Jones were to miss Rashard Higgins would likely step into this role with Anthony Schwartz also playing a much larger role. Harrison Bryant was a late addition to the injury report and was also expected to play a larger role with the release of OBJ. If he were to be ruled out both Austin Hooper and David Njoku would play a larger role in an offense that relies heavily on its tight ends.

Adrian Peterson

Seattle Seahawks
11/05/21, 10:36 AM ET

TEN RB Adrian Peterson signed to active roster

Adrian Peterson has been signed to the active roster ahead of the Titans matchup with the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night. This was the expected move after he was signed to the practice squad, but the question still remains how many snaps he will see on Sunday night after joining the team Tuesday. Jeremy McNichols is expected to lead the backfield this week because he has been on the team the whole year but Peterson is still expected to see some of the rushing work. Peterson and McNichols will both be interesting plays to consider on the showdown slate this Sunday but we truly won’t know how this backfield will be split until next week at the earliest.

DeVante Parker

MIA WR DeVante Parker (hamstring) to be listed doubtful for Sunday

DeVante Parker had a setback with his hamstring and will be listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. With Parker likely out Jaylen Waddle, Mike Gesicki, and Preston Williams figure to lead the Miami pass-catchers in what should be a great matchup for them. Waddle and Gesicki will likely be the top plays in this offense and will see a nice boost if Parker is officially ruled out. They can be considered in most DFS formats.

Trevor Siemian

Tennessee Titans
11/05/21, 10:16 AM ET

NOS QB Trevor Siemian expected to start Sunday

Trevor Siemian is expected to start Sunday for the Saints when they are set to take on the Atlanta Falcons, but Taysom Hill is also expected to see some snaps as well. Coach Sean Payton was so impressed with Siemian in last Sunday’s game that he has elected to go with him over Hill who was competing for the job in the preseason. Siemian is a veteran quarterback who doesn’t figure to do anything special but should offer a solid floor despite Hill cutting into his snaps.

Odell Beckham

Miami Dolphins
11/05/21, 9:03 AM ET

WR Odell Beckham Jr. released by Cleveland Browns

The Cleveland Browns will release Odell Beckham Jr. Friday after being unable to reach an agreement with him to remain with the team. With Beckham now gone, Jarvis Landry (dealing with a knee injury) would be the top receiver with Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashad Higgins also seeing more snaps. It is also likely that the three tight ends Austin Hooper, David Njoku, and Harrison Bryant could see some more usage and targets with OBJ off the field. All pass-catchers should be expected to see a slight bump now that OBJ has officially been released.

Cleveland Browns plan to release Odell Beckham Jr. Friday

The Cleveland Browns plan to release Odell Beckham Jr. Friday after being unable to reach an agreement with him to remain with the team. With Beckham almost certainly out, Jarvis Landry (dealing with a knee injury) would be the top receiver with Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashad Higgins also seeing more snaps. It is also likely that the three tight ends Austin Hooper, David Njoku, and Harrison Bryant could see some more usage and targets with OBJ off the field. All pass-catchers should be expected to see a slight bump if OBJ were to be officially released prior to this weekend.

Marlon Mack

Arizona Cardinals
11/04/21, 6:32 PM ET

IND RB Marlon Mack officially listed inactive for Thursday

Marlon Mack has officially been listed inactive for Thursday’s game against the New York Jets. After failing to be traded at the deadline earlier this week Mack is now a healthy scratch. Mack wasn’t expected to play much of a role tonight so his absence should not affect the slate too much. The Colts will elect to go with Jonathan Taylor as the lead back with Nyheim Hines available to back him up. Taylor is the highest projected player on the slate tonight and should be considered in most lineups and Hines isn’t a bad option as a contrarian play with the potential to vulture a touchdown away from Taylor.

Corey Davis

New York Jets
11/04/21, 6:25 PM ET

NYJ WR Corey Davis and QB Joe Flacco officially listed inactive Thursday

As expected, Corey Davis and Joe Flacco have officially been listed as inactive for Thursday night’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. With Davis out, Jamison Crowder, Keelan Cole, and Denzel Mims should lead the receiving corps for the Jets and see the majority of the targets. They all instantly become better plays due to the volume of targets vacated by Davis. The writing was on the wall when Josh Johnson was elevated earlier in the day and he will serve as the backup for Mike White instead of Joe Flacco.

Justin Jackson

11/04/21, 5:46 PM ET

LAC RB Justin Jackson (quad) DNP Thursday

Justin Jackson (quad) logged a DNP Thursday ahead of the Chargers matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday. Jackson is expected to serve as the backup to Austin Ekeler though his availability might be in question. If Jackson is forced to miss this weekend, Larry Rountree and Josh Kelley would split backup duties though neither would likely be very DFS relevant. The Chargers running back to target remains Austin Ekeler as he is one of the top receiving backs in the league and draws a good matchup against the Philadelphia defense.

Gary Brightwell

Cincinnati Bengals
11/04/21, 5:04 PM ET

NYG RB Gary Brightwell placed on COVID-19 list

Gary Brightwell has been placed on the COVID-19 list ahead of the Giants matchup with the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. Gary Brightwell joins Saquon Barkley on the COVID list potentially leaving the Giants with Devontae Booker available as the only true running back on the active roster. Both Brightwell and Barkley have yet to be ruled out and would need to test negative twice before Sunday’s kickoff to be able to play but the chances of this happening are starting to look slim. Booker would obviously become a much better play due to expected volume and the Giants would likely be forced to elevate Sandro Platzgummer to serve as his backup with Elijhaa Penny also mixing in.

Damien Williams

Arizona Cardinals
11/04/21, 3:58 PM ET

CHI RB Damien Williams (knee) and TE J.P. Holtz DNP Thursday

Damien Williams and J.P. Holtz logged DNPs Thursday ahead of the Bears Monday night matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Damien Williams can now fully be considered the backup to Khalil Herbert and with David Montgomery likely to return next week Williams role in this backfield might fully dissipate. If Williams were to miss Monday, Herbert would continue as the lead back and could see a few more touches with Ryan Nall available to back him up. J.P. Holtz is expected to serve as tight end depth and his absence would not be DFS relevant.

NYG WR Sterling Shepard and WR Dante Pettis DNP Thursday; WR Kenny Golladay, WR Kadarius Toney, WR John Ross, and TE Kaden Smith were all limited

Sterling Shepard and Dante Pettis logged DNPs Thursday while Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, John Ross, and Kaden Smith were all limited and seem on track to play Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. Shepard and Pettis seem doubtful at this point but the good news is that Golladay looks set to make his return and instantly take over the number one receiver spot for the Giants. Toney will likely be used as the second receiver with Darius Slayton as the third. The Giants receiving corps can’t seem to get healthy all at the same time which offers value based on who is able to play that specific week. This week the main targets should be Golladay, Toney, and Slayton provided they are all available to play.
