Jordan Howard

New Orleans Saints
10/30/21, 3:31 PM ET

PHI RB Jordan Howard and TE Richard Rodgers elevated from practice squad for Sunday

Jordan Howard and Richard Rodgers have been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Detroit Lions. This was the expected move with Miles Sanders set to go on IR, Howard should split early down work with Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell should handle most of the passing down work. It’s difficult to project exactly how this split will shake out so it is best to avoid Philadelphia running backs if possible. Richard Rodgers has been elevated to serve as tight end depth and is not expected to be DFS relevant at this point.

DEN WR Jerry Jeudy and TE Albert Okwuegbunam will be activated off IR, on track to make returns Sunday

Jerry Jeudy will be activated off IR, and is on track to make his return Sunday against the Washington Football Team. Jeudy is expected to return to his starting role in the Denver offense and will likely be one of Teddy Bridgewater’s top options going forward. His return pushes Tim Patrick down the depth chart and challenges Courtland Sutton’s status as top dog in the Denver receiving corps which hurts both of their values. It remains to be seen if Jeudy will be limited in his first game back since Week 1 and if he were Sutton and Patrick could see increased usage but still nowhere close to the volume they had gotten accustomed to with Jeudy out. Albert Okwuegbunam should serve as the backup tight end to Noah Fant and is not DFS relevant at this time.

Preston Williams

Carolina Panthers
10/30/21, 12:49 PM ET

MIA WR Preston Williams ruled out for Sunday

Preston Williams has been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Buffalo Bills after not traveling with the team. Williams’s absence should not be too important for the Dolphins as he was not expected to play a major role in the offense. This could mean a few more targets for Jaylen Waddle or DeVante Parker (questionable) and it is likely Mack Hollins steps into Williams’s role on Sunday in a tough matchup.

Patrick Laird

Saquon Barkley

Philadelphia Eagles
10/30/21, 12:42 PM ET

NYG RB Saquon Barkley and WR Kenny Golladay ruled out Monday; WR Sterling Shepard, WR Kadarius Toney, and TE Kaden Smith all listed questionable

Saquon Barkley and Kenny Golladay have been ruled out for Monday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs while Sterling Shepard, Kadarius Toney, and Kaden Smith have all been listed as questionable. With Barkley out Devontae Booker will once again serve as the lead back for the Giants and Elijhaa Penny will serve as his backup. With Golladay out, The Giants receiving corps should be led by Shepard (questionable but expected to play) and Toney (questionable) with Darius Slayton also expected to see the field in three wide receiver sets. If Shepard and/or Toney were to be ruled out, some value at wide receiver could open up on the Giants side with guys like Dante Pettis, John Ross, and Collin Johnson expected to see more action. It will be important to monitor who is available on Monday.

Deebo Samuel

Washington Commanders
10/29/21, 5:47 PM ET

SF WR Deebo Samuel available to play Sunday

Deebo was not listed with an injury designation; despite having calf issues throughout the week, he’s fully good to go and will start against the Chicago Bears.

Taysom Hill

New Orleans Saints
10/29/21, 5:45 PM ET

NO QB Taysom Hill and RB Dwayne Washington ruled out Sunday; WR Deonte Harris listed questionable

The Saints will be without Hill and Washington once again as they take on the Bucs, while Harris may be able to return. Hill is still in the concussion protocol, and although he’s not playable on his own, he does take some goal line snaps, so there’s more TDs to project for the rest of the Saints. Washington will sit again, but with Mark Ingram expected to play (and extended for an additional year), his role will soon be irrelevant. Harris may be able to play, but he’ll join a crowded WR room that rotates bodies; he’ll likely be behind Marquez Callaway and Tre’Quan Smith.

Rob Gronkowski

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
10/29/21, 5:42 PM ET

TB TE Rob Gronkowski officially questionable Sunday

Although the Bucs will be without Antonio Brown once again, Gronk may be able to make his return for the Bucs battle against the New Orleans Saints. Gronk’s been dealing with a rib issue for three weeks despite not being placed on I.R. If he plays, he’ll take some targets away from Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. If he sits, Cameron Brate and O.J. Howard would split the TE snaps once again.

Alex Collins

Seattle Seahawks
10/29/21, 5:46 PM ET

SEA RB Alex Collins listed questionable Sunday

Collin was listed as questionable due to a groin injury ahead of the Seahawks game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. This is the same designation Collins had last week, so it feels that this is mostly procedural; Collins feels far closer to probable. If he were to sit, Rashaad Penny would likely be the biggest benefactor, with Deejay Dallas and Travis Homer mixing in as well.

Jonnu Smith

Pittsburgh Steelers
10/29/21, 5:30 PM ET

NE TE Jonnu Smith and WR Kendrick Bourne listed questionable Sunday

The Patriots listed their injury report with 15 questionable players, and all of them had three straight limited practices; clearly they are not taking the process very seriously. The two skill players listed were Smith and Bourne, but both are expected to play. The Chargers pass defense is stout, and although Bourne and Smith are getting more work, they’ll be tough to consider in a crowded Patriots pass catcher group.
