MIA WR Devante Parker listed questionable Sunday
Parker’s missed the last two games with a shoulder and hamstring issue, but is now listed as questionable as the Dolphins take on the Buffalo Bills. Parker’s said he thinks he can play but “we’ll see” on Sunday, so his status feels like a toss up. If he plays, he’ll dig into the targets of Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki, who have dominated the targets over the last few weeks. If he sits again, Preston Williams and Mack Hollins would get some more work.
As reported by: Barry Jackson via TwitterDET RB D'Andre Swift and RB Jamaal Williams both listed questionable; fully expected to play; TE T.J. Hockenson not listed on injury report
The Lions have listed Swift and Williams as questionable all year, and this week is no exception as they try to get their first win against the Philadelphia Eagles. Hockenson was taken off the injury report; although he was expected to play as well, he appears to be getting healthier which is a good sign.
As reported by: the Detroit Lions via Team Website Other tagged players: Jamaal Williams, T.J. HockensonDAL QB Dak Prescott officially questionable Sunday
Dak’s been dealing with a calf issue since two weeks ago, and is listed as questionable as the Cowboys prepare to play SNF against the Minnesota Vikings. Dak was able to get in a limited practice all three days, and he says that if it were up to him, he’d play, but that the decision is with the team. There’s been mixed signals around the injury, as Jerry Jones has stated thinking he’s good to go, while Coach McCarthy showed a bit more caution. If he sits, Cooper Rush would get the start, and obviously would be big downgrades to the entire offense. For a showdown slate, it’s obviously the biggest element open, but hopefully news will leak out before hand.
As reported by: Luke Braun via TwitterNYJ WR Corey Davis officially listed doubtful Sunday; RB Tevin Coleman ruled out
After Coach Saleh mentioned during his news conference that Davis wasn’t looking good due to a hip injury he suffered in practice, the Jets ultimately designated Davis as doubtful as the Jets prepare to host the Cincinnati Bengals. With Mike White slinging the ball, it’s unlikely that any pass catcher will do much, but this should lead to more snaps and targets for Jamison Crowder, Elijah Moore, and Denzel Mims. Coleman was ruled out once again, so the Jets backfield should be a two man group again, led by Michael Carter, with Ty Johnson working in as well.
As reported by: the New York Jets via Twitter Other tagged players: Tevin ColemanLAC RB Austin Ekeler DNP again, officially listed questionable Sunday
Ekeler is the biggest name on the main slate that has a questionable tag that feels truly questionable as the Chargers prepare to host the New England Patriots. Ekeler picked up a hip injury during practice this week, and logged two straight DNPs, which is a worrisome sign. Beat reporters have mixed speculative ranks, and coach Staley has said that he’s “hopeful” Ekeler will play. If he sits, the offense of the Chargers would fundamentally change. Justin Jackson and Joshua Kelley would likely take split the workload, with Kelley working as the primary rusher and Jackson working more on passing downs. In addition, Keenan Allen and Mike Williams would become far better plays, as Ekeler soaks up a lot of targets usually, and they would likely move to the WRs as opposed to Jackson. This is the biggest news on the slate, and hopefully Schefter or Rapaport can give us an overnight report.
As reported by: the Los Angeles Chargers via TwitterNYG RB Saquon Barkley, WR Kenny Golladay DNP Friday; WR Kadarius Toney, WR Sterling Shepard, and TE Evan Engram all limited
The Giants skill position players have been decimated by injury, but should be improved from last week as they prepare for MNF against the reeling Chiefs. Saquon and Golladay were both held out again, and are likely going to be ruled out tomorrow; both players were projected to only miss one week, but may be on their third coming up. Toney looked a lot better in practice and was able to get in a limited session; he appears to be on his way back, along with Shepard, who was ruled out last week. Engram was also limited, although his name has been on the trade block for teams across the league. The biggest beneficiary should any WRs sit would be Dante Pettis, who played well and scored 15.54 DK points due to the absence of all the receivers, but with Toney and Shepard looking promising, it’ll likely be those two who get the bulk of the targets.
As reported by: Ralph Vacchiano via Twitter Other tagged players: Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, Sterling Shepard, Evan EngramLAR WR DeSean Jackson (trade request) ruled out Sunday
After falling down in the rotation and clearly being the fourth option, Jackson has worked with the Rams to facilitate a trade and ultimately was ruled out as the Rams prepare to play the Houston Texans. Jackson’s snaps had been slipping, and McVay’s tendency to play the same personnel was at Jackson’s expense. This locks in Van Jefferson as the WR3, behind Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods. Those three along with Tyler Higbee will likely play on the majority of snaps, while Tutu Atwell may mix in for a handful of snaps as the WR4. Jefferson may be sneaky, as he may be on the field for a significant chunk of time, and the Rams will likely put up multiple touchdowns against the woeful Texans.
As reported by: Lindsey Thiry via TwitterPIT TE Eric Ebron ruled out Sunday
After picking up a hamstring injury during Thursday’s practice, Ebron was unable to practice Friday and was ultimately ruled out against the Cleveland Browns. Ebron has been splitting TE snaps with Pat Freiermuth all year, and Friermuth’s routes and snaps are slowly ticking up. In the Steelers last game (two weeks ago before their bye), he picked up 7 catches for 58 yards. He’ll likely be one of the top options at TE, as he should have a high floor for the Steelers and who are down Ebron and Juju Smith-Schuster, who is out of the year. A few more targets may condense onto Najee Harris, Diontae Johnson, and Claypool. Freiermuth’s cheap salary should open up room for the high powered options on the main slate.
As reported by: Nate Ulrich via Twitter Other tagged players: Pat FreiermuthCHI WR Jakeem Grant listed questionable Sunday
Grant was listed as questionable, but is likely only to play on returns as he’s only played two snaps the last three weeks; he won’t be in DFS consideration, and nothing should change if he ends up sitting.
As reported by: the Chicago Bears via TwitterTEN WR Julio Jones, FB Khari Blasingame, and RB Darrynton Evans ruled out Sunday
Julio’s hamstring woes continue, as the injury that he suffered a few weeks ago will keep him out as the Titans prepare to play the Indianapolis Colts. Jones has played the last two games, but has only been able to play 65% and 43% of snaps; it looks like the Titans will try to rest him completely and hope it that helps him in the long term. This should lead to a few more snaps for Marcus Johnson, Nick Westbrook-Ikheine, and Josh Reynolds, although the main winner will certainly be A.J. Brown. The Titans do run two tight sends frequently, so despite the opportunity for some receivers to play, DFS consideration should remain with A.J. Brown and Derrick Henry. As for the RBs behind Henry, it’ll be Jeremy McNichols, as Evans and Blasingame were both ruled out, and Evans was placed on IR and is done for the year.
As reported by: Paul Kuharsky via Twitter Other tagged players: Khari Blasingame, Darrynton EvansIND WR T.Y. Hilton listed questionable for Sunday
The Colts have been getting healthier over the last few weeks, and only Hilton is questionable as they prep for a huge divisional game against the Tennessee Titans. Hilton was unable to play last game after making his debut in week 6, but looks to be closer to probable than questionable as he deals with a quad injury. Should he sit, Michael Pittman would likely get a bigger chunk, while more snaps would be there for Zach Pascal and Ashton Dulin.
As reported by: Paul Kuharsky via TwitterMIN WR Dede Westbrook listed questionable Sunday
Westbrook is listed as questionable due to an ankle injury as the Vikings prepare to play the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. He’d only be relevant for showdown purposes, but he’s the clear 4th receiver, behind Jefferson, Thielen, and K.J. Osborn.
As reported by: Courtney Cronin via TwitterCAR WR Terrace Marshall ruled out Sunday
Marshall was ruled out once again due to a concussion as the Panthers prepare to play the Atlanta Falcons. Marshall was the WR3 when healthy, but will now miss his second straight game which should lead to more snaps for Shi Smith and Keith Kirkwood, but ultimately the Panthers elected to run more two tight end sets, as Ian Thomas and Tommy Tremble were both out there for 70% and 55% of snaps, respectively. Overall, it’s tough to trust anyone outside D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson, and even those two are tough to trust due to Sam Darnold’s recent struggles.
As reported by: Joe Person via TwitterWAS WR Dyami Brown and WR Curtis Samuel ruled out Sunday; WR Cam Sims questionable; RB Antonio Gibson not on injury report
The WFT WR room will be shrunk once again, as they prepare to travel to Denver to play the Broncos. Brown’s been dealing with a knee injury and won’t play, while Samuel reaggravated his groin injury that’s been bothering him since the summer. Sims is questionable to play due to a hamstring injury, which may be a relevant depth piece for the team. It’ll be tough to prioritize anyone outside Terry McLaurin from the WR room, and possibly Ricky Seals-Jones at TE. Adam Humphries and DeAndre Carter will likely round out the three WR set, but neither will project great in a tough matchup, as McLaurin will command the biggest target share, while RSJ and J.D. McKissic take some as well. As for Gibson, he was able to get a full practice in, and like he has all year, he’ll play through his shin fracture.
As reported by: John Keim via Twitter Other tagged players: Curtis Samuel, Cam Sims, Antonio GibsonCLE WR Odell Beckham Jr listed questionable Sunday; WR Donovan Peoples-Jones ruled out Sunday; QB Baker Mayfield and RB Nick Chubb will play
The Browns got mixed reviews from their injury report, but mostly positive news as they prepare to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mayfield was able to get a full practice in and was fully cleared to play, and will start after missing last week’s game. OBJ was listed as questionable due to a shoulder injury that’s been bothering him over the last couple weeks, but he’s been able to play through it. Despite the tag, he’s expected to play. DPJ was ruled out due to a groin injury that caused him to be a late scratch last week; with OBJ and Landry back, he wouldn’t have been in play this weekend in such an ugly matchup. Chubb is also back after missing the last two games with a knee injury; he practiced in full, and should start and be the 1A to D’Ernest Johnson’s 1B. Baker and the passing offense will be very difficult to trust on a 12 game main slate, but some WRs and Chubb will still be worth considering, as the Browns are three point favorites.
