BAL RB Le'Veon Bell remains on practice squad, won't play Monday
Bell was not promoted to the active roster Monday, and he’ll stay on the practice squad and miss the game against the Indianapolis Colts. This likely means Ty’Son Williams will be active tonight; he was a healthy scratch last week. Williams will likely mix in with Latavius Murray, but should be projected behind him, while Devonta Freeman will likely be the third string back.
As reported by: Jeff Zrebiec via TwitterBAL WR Rashod Bateman won't play Monday; WR Miles Boykin expected to make season debut
Bateman won’t be able to suit up tonight on Monday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts. Bateman was on IR to begin the year with a groin injury, but ultimately the team elected to keep him out more week; he’s expected to play next week for the Ravens. Miles Boykin will be available to make his season debut; he was also on IR to begin the year. We’ve projected James Proche in still, while Tylan Wallace may be a healthy scratch as a result of Boykin’s return.
As reported by: Jamison Hensley via Twitter Other tagged players: Miles BoykinWR Josh Gordon active; KCC WR Daurice Fountain and TE Noah Gray inactive Sunday
Daurice Fountain and Noah Gray will be inactive Sunday night for the Chiefs when they take on the Buffalo Bills, while Josh Gordon will be active. Fountain and Gray were not expected to play much of a role and their absences should not impact the game. Josh Gordon will be active and will likely fight for WR3 or WR4 snaps with Demarcus Robinson and Byron Pringle. At this point it is almost impossible to know what the Chiefs will do with him or where he is at conditioning wise after only being a art of the team for a couple of weeks. He has name recognition but is a very risky play until we know how the Chiefs plan to deploy him.
As reported by: Matt McMullen Other tagged players: Daurice Fountain, Noah GrayBUF RB Matt Breida inactive Sunday
Matt Breida will be inactive Sunday night when the Bills take on the Kansas City Chiefs. Breida was not expected to play a major role in this game and it isn’t entirely surprissing that he is inactive. Zack Moss and Devin Singletary should handle nearly all of the running back snaps.
As reported by: Buffalo BillsARI TE Maxx Williams active Sunday
Williams is active for the Cardinals against the 49ers; he’ll take his usual role as the starting TE for the team.
As reported by: the Arizona Cardinals via TwitterLAC RB Justin Jackson officially out Sunday
As expected, Jackson was downgraded from doubtful to out against the Cleveland Browns. His snaps will likely be taken by Larry Rountree and Joshua Kelly, but Austin Ekeler will be the lead back for the team.
As reported by: Daniel Popper via TwitterLV RB Peyton Barber ruled out Sunday
Barber was ruled out Sunday after being on the injury report with turf toe. Jalen Richard was elevated and may see some snaps, but this should be the Josh Jacobs show.
As reported by: the Las Vegas Raiders via TwitterCLE TE David Njoku active Sunday
Njoku was listed as questionable but was cleared to play against the LA Chargers. Njoku is viable as a cheap tight end, but the Browns pass game offense is unlikely to see much success against a stout pass defense in the Chargers.
As reported by: Scott Petrak via TwitterCAR RB Christian McCaffrey ruled out Sunday
CMC was ruled out as expected; he was listed as doubtful due to a hamstring injury. It’ll be another week of Chuba Hubbard leading the way, with Rodney Smith and Royce Freeman likely playing a role taking a few snaps away.
As reported by: Steve Reed via TwitterDEN WR Courtland Sutton and QB Teddy Bridgewater both active Sunday
The Broncos will have arguably their most important offensive players available to play against the Steelers. Bridgewater was fully expected to play as he cleared concussion protocol, while Sutton was able to work through his ankle injury and will play as well. Bridgewater is tough to play, but Sutton may be sneaky as a potential target hog despite the low team total against the Steelers.
As reported by: the Denver Broncos via Twitter Other tagged players: Teddy BridgewaterHOU WR Danny Amendola ruled out Sunday
Despite cutting Anthony Miller earlier in the week (due to having Amendola back), Amendola was ruled out and won’t play against the Texans. There are very few options to choose from outside of Brandon Cooks on the team, and with the lowest team total on the week, it’s best staying away from the team.
As reported by: the Houston Texans via TwitterNE RB Rhamondre Stevenson active Sunday; J.J. Taylor inactive
After missing the last few games due to being in the doghouse, Stevenson will be back out there in place of J.J. Taylor against the Texans. Damien Harris should remain the early down rusher, but Stevenson may have a chance to chip in late in the game if the Patriots get some garbage time opportunities against the woeful Texans.
As reported by: the New England Patriots via Twitter Other tagged players: J.J. TaylorMIN RB Dalvin Cook ruled out Sunday
Cook was ultimately ruled out against the Lions, as he was unable to get through warmups due to his ankle injury. This is one of the more clear-cut backup situations in the league; Alexander Mattison will be an outstanding value, as he has a smash matchup against a bad defense, and will get the workload to himself. Mattison saw 68% of the snaps week 3 when Dalvin sat, and had 28 carries and 8 targets. He becomes arguably the best value on the entire slate.
As reported by: the Minnesota Vikings via Twitter Other tagged players: Alexander MattisonCIN RB Joe Mixon active Sunday
After all the back and forth, Mixon ultimately was ruled in as the Bengals take on the Packers. Mixon may not be 100%, but will likely get the majority of the workload against the Packers. Mixon playing fully removes Samaje Perine and Chris Evans out of consideration. Mixon is a risky play due to his ankle injury but will be out there.
As reported by: Ben Baby via TwitterTEN WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine ruled out Sunday
After being a chalky play last week, Westbrook-Ikhine was listed out for Sunday. The Titans have A.J. Brown back, along with Marcus Johnson, so there was not going to be a big role for Westbrook-Ikhine. Brown is the only pass catcher worth rostering.
