DeVante Parker

Philadelphia Eagles
10/10/21, 9:51 AM ET

MIA WR Devante Parker ruled out Sunday

Parker was planning on testing his hamstring during the pre-game warmups, but ultimately felt tight and ended up being ruled out and will sit against the Tampa Bay Bucs. The Dolphins are extremely shorthanded at wide receiver, with no Parker, Will Fuller, and Jakeem Grant traded to the Bears. Jaylen Waddle will be the absolute target hog for the WRs, while Preston Williams and Albert Wilson will play a role behind them as well. Mike Gesicki should also be projected to handle a chunk of the targets, as he’s averaged 9 targets the last two games, and the Dolphins will likely throw the ball plenty against the pass funnel Bucs defense.

La'Mical Perine

Pittsburgh Steelers
10/10/21, 7:22 AM ET

NYJ RB La'Mical Perine inactive Sunday; WR Denzel Mims active

Perine was ruled out as a healthy scratch, leaving the backfield to a three man committee of Michael Carter, Ty Johnson, and Tevin Coleman. Mims was ruled in, a mild surprise as it was expected he’d sit with Elijah Moore returning to the team. The Jets now have 6 healthy WRs, so the depth pieces (Braxton Berrios, Keelan Cole, and Mims) are much tougher to trust, although the Jets play on a showdown slate so all options can be considered.

Chase Edmonds

Washington Commanders
10/10/21, 7:42 AM ET

ARI RB Chase Edmonds expected to play Sunday

Edmonds was listed as questionable due to shoulder injury, but (according to Schefter) will play against the 49ers. The game is in the late window, so it won’t be official, but he’ll likely take his role between on passing downs and between the twenties, while James Conner takes the goal line work and short yardage situations.

Dalvin Cook

Dallas Cowboys
10/10/21, 7:40 AM ET

MIN RB Dalvin Cook a true game-time decision Sunday

Schefter’s overnight report was not very clear on Cook, as he mentioned that he’ll be a true game-time decision against the Detroit Lions. Schefter also stated that if Cook plays, “it’s not sure thing he will get his usual workload and, either way, it also shapes up as an active day for Vikings’ RB Alexander Mattison.” If Cook does sit, Mattison will be the best play on the slate; he’s only 5500/6500 on DK/FD, and has a smash matchup against the Detroit Lions and would project to get the majority of the work. If Cook ends up playing, it’ll be tough to trust either player; Mattison would be too tough to play as the backup, while Cook would be the ultimate GPP play as a high salaried play in a great matchup with injury concern.

Antonio Gibson

New England Patriots
10/10/21, 7:33 AM ET

WFT RB Antonio Gibson and WR Curtis Samuel will both play Sunday

Gibson was expected to play all week; he was listed as questionable due to a stress fracture in his shin, but he’ll be good to play as he said so. Samuel is the bigger news, as he was cleared to play despite a groin injury that limited his snaps last week in his first week back. With Dyami Brown, Logan Thomas, and Cam Sims all out due to various injuries, Samuel will likely be one of the top three options for Taylor Heincke, alongside Terry McLaurin and Adam Humphries. The Football Team has a tough matchup in the New Orleans Saints, but the sheer targets combined with his cheap price may make him worth it.

T.J. Hockenson

Minnesota Vikings
10/10/21, 7:29 AM ET

DET RB D'Andre Swift, RB Jamaal Williams, and TE T.J. Hockenson all to play Sunday

Swift and Williams were both expected to play, as they’ve been questionable every week and suited up every time. Hockenson was a bit more worrisome, but Rapoport said that he should be active against the Minnesota Vikings. Hockenson will be likely the primary target for Jared Goff as they are expected to be trailing as 7.5 point underdogs.

Teddy Bridgewater

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
10/10/21, 7:26 AM ET

DEN QB Teddy Bridgewater will play Sunday barring a setback; WR Courtland Sutton a game-time decision

As expected, Bridgewater has cleared protocol and will start for the Broncos against the Steelers, barring a setback. The situation that is still unresolved involves Sutton, who turned his ankle during Friday’s practice and is a true game-time decision. The game environment is one of the ugliest in the slate, but if Sutton sits, the value will certainly be there between Tim Patrick and Noah Fant; they would be the only healthy starters from the beginning of the year, as Albert Okwuegbunam, Jerry Jeudy, and K.J. Hamler are all out. Especially with Bridgewater back, they’d be worth monitoring if Sutton sits. If Sutton suits up, it’s likely a stay-away.

Joe Mixon

Houston Texans
10/10/21, 7:19 AM ET

CIN RB Joe Mixon expected to play Sunday

After getting some work in yesterday during a Saturday (a rarity for a team playing on Sunday), Mixon is expected to play today against the Green Bay Packers. Mixon has been dealing with an ankle issue that he suffered during last week’s game. Rapoport said that “he won’t be 100%, but Mixon is slated to go”. This ends up being the murkiest situation; when the injured player projects to play, but not be fully healthy or get all the work. Assuming he ends up being officially active, it’s tough to play the backups (Samaje Perine and Chris Evans), knowing they may not get the work. But it’s also tough to pay an elevated price tag for Mixon, with his workload iffy. Overall, this situation is one to stay away, as there are better options with more certainty.

Dan Chisena

Carolina Panthers
10/09/21, 5:29 PM ET

MIN WR Dan Chisena waived

Dan Chisena who was activated off IR earlier this week was waived by the Vikings on Saturday. This was done to open up a roster spot for help in the secondary, which the Vikings desperately needed with two corners going on the COVID list. Chisena was not expected to be a part of the passing game but was expected to play a role on special teams.

Jalen Richard

Las Vegas Raiders
10/09/21, 5:09 PM ET

LVR RB Jalen Richard activated from IR to active roster

Jalen Richard has been activated from IR to the active roster. Richard is not expected to play much of a role on Sunday against the Chicago Bears but if Peyton Barber were to be ruled out Richard could take his place in the role of RB3. Even if this were to be the case Richard is not expected to be DFS relevant.

As reported by: Las Vegas Raiders

Tyrie Cleveland

Indianapolis Colts
10/09/21, 5:06 PM ET

DEN WR Tyrie Cleveland elevated from practice squad for Sunday

Tyrie Cleveland has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He will serve as receiver depth but if Courtland Sutton were to be ruled out could see some playing time. Even if this were to be the case there are better value options available and those should be looked to first.

Kenny Stills

New Orleans Saints
10/09/21, 5:03 PM ET

NOS WR Kenny Stills signed to active roster, available Sunday

Kenny Stills has been signed to the active roster from the practice squad and will be available Sunday for the Saints when they take on the Washington Football Team. Stills will likely continue in his role as WR5 and is not DFS relevant at this point.
