Julio Jones inactive Week 5
Jones is officially inactive Sunday, not a surprising result despite him being listed as questionable. Olamide Zaccheaus should be the biggest beneficiary, and looks like a great value at just $3,000 on DraftKings.

The Patriots vs Broncos game Monday has officially been postponed, and could be moved to Week 6. As a result, the Broncos vs Dolphins Week 6 game would have to be rescheduled. The NFL continues to reshuffle games due to positive COVID tests, but there are only so many ways to change the schedule before they run out of options. Unfortunately, this is certainly not the last game we will see rescheduled.

The Titans announced Sunday that they have had a staff member test positive for COVID-19, their first positive test after having two straight days of negatives. The Titans have once again closed their facility, and their Tuesday game vs the Bills is in question once again.

With Ian Rapoport serving a 2-week suspension, Adam Schefter was left alone to drop the updates early Sunday morning. All of the mentioned players already seemed likely to play, but it is good to get further confirmation. Of course, inactives will still need to be monitored to ensure everyone is truly active.

This is the Patriots’ third shutdown of their facility in 10 days, and 4th positive test in 8 days. Their game vs Denver had already been pushed back one day to Monday, and a further delay looks possible, or even likely. At this point, the NFL could be forced to add a Week 18, given the number of teams having COVID issues.

Deebo Samuel has cleared the COVID-related protocols after being sick this week, and reportedly returned to the team facilities Saturday. He was officially listed as questionable, and his non-COVID illness could still be an issue. However, he is now eligible to play, and his return to the team facilities is a strong indicator he will play.
As reported by: Nick WagonerMike Williams questionable for Monday
Mike Williams is questionable for Week 5 after sitting out Week 4 with a hamstring injury. Hamstring issues always are risky, even if the player does end up active. He was limited the final two practices of the week after sitting out the first one, so that could be seen as progress. However, if he is out again, Jalen Guyton and Tyron Johnson could see a boost behind top-WR Keenan Allen.

Both Michael Thomas and Jared Cook are officially listed as questionable for the Saints, with both having a fairly good shot at playing. The Saints have been careful about bringing Thomas back, as he hasn’t played since Week 1. Given the caution they’ve shown, it is also likely that Thomas will be near 100% if he does return.

Bell has been officially activated off IR, meaning he can return to action this week for the Jets. He should immediate step back into his role as the lead back, pushing Frank Gore and La’Mical Perine back down the depth chart at RB.
As reported by: New York Jets Other tagged players: Frank Gore, La'Mical PerineNoah Fant, KJ Hamler ruled out; Drew Lock questionable for Monday
Fant and Hamler are officially ruled out, while Drew Lock is questionable. Nick Vannett and Jake Butt will both fill in at TE for Fant this week. Jake Butt ran more routes last week (12 vs 4), although Nick Vannett got more targets (2 vs 1). Those numbers were with Fant getting 6 targets, so they should each see a bump. If Lock is out, Brett Rypien will get another start. He did throw three interceptions, but he had some promising moments on his way to 242 yards and 2 TD passes.

Edelman is officially listed as questionable for Monday night, but it is worth considering that Edelman is very often listed as questionable, and almost always seems to play. He does still seem likely to play, but if out, N’Keal Harry and Damiere Byrd would both see big target shares. It is also worth monitoring if Cam Newton plays (which looks unlikely currently), as the passing offense looked terrible last week with the combination of Brian Hoyer and Jarrett Stidham at QB.

Brown was able to practice fully Saturday, and carries a questionable injury designation for the Titans’ game Tuesday. Given how late in the week this game is, Brown’s odds to play look very good. He has missed the past two games, although the Titans not playing last week afforded him an additional week of rest. The Titans have very little at WR, and Brown would be the clear top option.
As reported by: John GlennonJohn Brown, Zach Moss and Andre Roberts listed as questionable for Tuesday
The Bills released their practice report with game designations, although they still don’t play until Tuesday. John Brown and Andre Roberts were both limited Saturday, while Zach Moss practiced fully. Moss returning would take some work away from Devin Singletary, who has been working as the clear top RB, including receiving 18 of the 20 non-QB rush attempts for the Bills Week 4. John Brown being limited again in practice is concerning, and he needs to be monitored. His absence would open up targets for the other WRs, including Gabriel Davis. Andre Roberts has been a non-factor in the offense this season.

James Conner is always a player that gets overlooked, but I haven’t seen many people mention him this week. Priced at just $7K on FanDuel, he makes a great pivot from others that are priced similarly to him like Kareem Hunt, Mike Davis and James Robinson. His matchup isn’t the best, but being favorites against Philadelphia, they should utilize Conner and the running game quite a bit and I think he makes a great correlation with the more popular Pittsburgh Defense. The biggest issue with Conner has been staying healthy, but the last two games he has quietly put up big numbers. Against Houston he had 18 rushing attempts for 109 yards and a rushing TD. The game before against Denver he had 16 rushing attempts for 106 yards and a rushing TD. He has huge upside and at a very affordable price this week he is my favorite GPP play on the week.
Cam Akers (ribs) practices in full again Friday
Akers was a full participant in practice for a second consecutive day, and he’ll reportedly play in Sunday’s Week 5 matchup against the Washington Football Team after missing two games due to a ribs injury. The likely return of Akers only further muddies the outlook of this Rams’ backfield as Darrell Henderson Jr. surprisingly worked as the backup to Malcolm Brown in this past Sunday’s win over the New York Giants after his stellar fantasy performance the week before. Akers accumulated 15 touches in his lone healthy game this season, but it’s nearly impossible to project him or any member of the Rams’ running back committee for that high of an opportunity share in this weekend’s contest.
