Lions QB Matthew Stafford is Officially Inactive
Stafford will break his streak of 136 consecutive starts today because of back injuries, which he dealt with all of last season. Jeff Driskel, who we have projected for the least amount of raw points out of any quarterback on the main slate, will start for the Lions. The matchup in Chicago is not at all ideal – the Bears rank seventh in pass DVOA and 24th in FPs allowed to opposing QBs. A case can be made to sprinkle in some Driskel in MME to fit in the CMCs and Michael Thomas’ of the world, but with the Lions having now the lowest ITT on the main slate, the Lions offense is probably best avoided this weekend.

Callaway is a surprise inactive and was not on the injury report this week. Look for the Browns to force targets to OBJ and Jarvis Landry against an elite Bills secondary.

Shaheen is a healthy scratch and may mean more snaps for Trey Burton and other Bears tight ends. This has little DFS impact today.

In the most surprising news of the day, LeSean McCoy will be a healthy scratch today. Damien Williams, Darrel Williams, and Darwin Thompson will lead the chiefs backfield against a Titans defense that ranks third in rush DVOA. We saw Williams rip off a 91-yard run last week vs. the Vikings, and his cheap price point and projected volume increase make him a nice GPP play across all sites.

As expected, Davis will not suit up today. A.J. Brown will be the Titans’ top receiving option.

Smith-Schuster had a dreadful floor game last week, with three catches for 16 yards. The Rams rank in the middle of the pack of pass DVOA, but Juju should see a lot of Jalen Ramsey. With very little floor to speak of, Juju is a risky fantasy option as long as Mason Rudolph is under center.

Brown is expected to play through injury like he did in his previous game against the Patriots. While the big-play receiver could do damage against the Bengals, who are 30th in pass DVOA, he might have to do so on limited volume as the Bengals allow the lowest pass-to-run ratio in the NFL.
As reported by: Tom PelisseroRavens QB Lamar Jackson (Illness) is Expected to Play Today Vs. the Bengals
The 2019 MVP candidate and New England Patriots’ worst nightmare will play today in Cincinnati. Jackson ran for 152 yards on 19 attempts earlier this season against the Bengals, scoring over 30 FPs despite finding paydirt just once. The Bengals allow the lowest pass-to-run ratio in the league, are 29th in pass DVOA, and 30th in rush DVOA. Jackson is the consensus top quarterback play in all formats across the industry and should eat against the Bengals.

Thomas is expected to play against the Bengals and make life difficult for starting QB Ryan Finley.

As reported by: Ian RappaportJets TE Chris Herndon (Hamstring) to Make Season Debut Against the Giants
Herndon is likely to make his 2019 debut today against a Giants defense that ranks just 27th in pass DVOA. However, fellow TE Ryan Griffin has been successful recently, so it isn’t known if Herndon will get a full compliment of snaps. There are better DFS options this week at tight end at Herndon’s price point.

Despite the Jets being completely terrible this season, Bell is a top-five point-per-dollar option today vs. the lowly Giants across the industry. Although the Giants rank in the middle of the pack against the run, Bell’s path to meeting value is volume. As long as he is healthy, he is game-script proof and could see a lot of carries – the Giants allow the fifth-highest run-to-pass ratio in the league.

As reported by: Ian RappaportLions QB Matthew Stafford (Hip/Back) Likely a Game-Time Decision Today Vs. Bears
Stafford’s streak of 136 consecutive starts is at risk because of back injuries, which he dealt with all of last season. Jeff Driskel would draw the start at quarterback if Stafford can’t go. The matchup in Chicago is not at all ideal – the Bears rank seventh in pass DVOA and 24th in FPs allowed to opposing QBs.
