Daniel Jones Named Giants Starting QB
This move was inevitable after the Giants selected Jones 6th overall in the 2019 draft. The rumors only intensified when coach Pat Shurmur wouldn’t commit to Eli Manning as the starter Monday. Jones looked great in the preseason, but it’s fair to expect some struggles from the rookie.

McCoy got good results from his MRI, avoiding any serious damage to his ankle. He could play Week 3, but his status will need to be monitored throughout this week. The role for RB’s in the Chiefs’ offense is limited, but McCoy has been their most effective runner, totaling 104 yards on 21 carries. Damien Williams would see an increased workload if McCoy is out.

Powell is inactive Week 2. Le’Veon Bell is the lead back and should see a heavy load again Week 2. Demaryius Thomas is active despite not practicing this week. Jamison Crowder got 17 targets last week and might see a slight decrease if Thomas has an active role in the offense. However, the Jets are running Trevor Siemian at QB, so the offense is unlikely to be very productive.

Hilliard had already been ruled out earlier and is primarily a return man. Higgins is a bit of a surprise, as he had declared himself able to play last week. Damion Ratley will be the 3rd WR option for the Browns tonight behind Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry.

Jeffery’s injury isn’t reportedly too serious, but it still could keep him out a week or two. With both Jeffery and DeSean Jackson leaving Week 2 with injury, Zach Ertz (16 targets) and Nelson Agholor (11 targets) carried the load through the air for the Eagles. Both will continue to see huge target shares if either Jeffery or Jackson miss Week 3.

The Bills are still gathering information about Devin Singletary’s injury, but he is considered day-to-day at this point. Monitor his status as the week progresses.
As reported by: Marcel Louis-JacquesDavid Johnson (Wrist) Expected to be Healthy Week 3
Coach Kliff Kingsbury said David Johnson should be good to go Week 3 against the Panthers. Johnson suffered a wrist injury yesterday but was able to continue playing in the game. It will be worth monitoring his status throughout the week, but he doesn’t appear at risk of missing any time. Week 2 was a big step back for Johnson, with only 7 carries for 14 yards (1 TD) and 1 catch on 1 target for 0 yards. He had 137 yards from scrimmage and 6 catches Week 1, and if healthy, should be closer to that level Week 3.
As reported by: Josh WeinfussMichael Gallup (Knee) Out 2-4 Weeks
Gallup is having arthroscopic surgery to trim his meniscus and is expected to miss 2-4 weeks. Gallup had taken a significant jump forward this season, averaging 113 yards per game and 17.4 yards per catch. Amari Cooper will remain the number one option with Randall Cobb as the slot receiver. Devin Smith should see the biggest increase in his role. He had a strong Week 2, catching all 3 targets for 74 yards and a touchdown.

Conner suffered a knee injury Week 2 and the details aren’t known yet. The injury isn’t believed to be serious, but that is coming from his teammates. We will still need to get more concrete information before penciling him in for Week 3. Jaylen Samuels would be the starter if Conner is out.
As reported by: Jeremy Fowler Other tagged players: Jaylen SamuelsCorey Clement (Shoulder) Like Out a Week or Two
Clement has been working solely as a return man so far this season after having a minor role in the offense the last two seasons. Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard and Darren Sproles all sit ahead of Clement on the RB depth chart, so this is not a significant loss for the Eagles.
As reported by: Ian RapoportDeSean Jackson (Groin) Has MRI Monday
Initial indications are that the injury isn’t serious, but the MRI today will give a clearer picture of his health. He had to leave the Week 2 game before getting a single target, a week after he caught 8 of 10 targets for 154 yards and 2 touchdowns. Jackson is an explosive WR when healthy, but he will need to be monitored this week prior to Week 3.
As reported by: Tim McManusCody Latimer, Sterling Shepard Both in Concussion Protocol
Latimer and Shepard are both in the concussion protocol for the Giants. Shepard suffered his concussion Week 1 and was out for Week 2. Latimer was concussed Week 2 and just entered the protocol, making him doubtful for Week 2. Evan Engram remains the main passing option in this offense, and if Latimer is out Bennie Fowler would be the clear second WR.

Roethlisberger injured his elbow Week 2 and will need surgery to recover. The Steelers announced the recovery will end Roethlisberger’s season and land him on the IR. Mason Rudolph, the Steelers’ 3rd round draft pick in 2018, will get his chance to start at QB. He completed 12 of 19 passes for 112 yards, 2 TD’s and 1 interception in relief of Roethlisberger Week 2. He was highly productive at Oklahoma State, but Week 2 was his first NFL regular season action. He has potential but will be a very risky DFS play until he can prove himself competent. All the other offensive weapons on the Steelers should be downgraded based on this news.
As reported by: Pittsburgh Steelers Other tagged players: Mason RudolphTyler Higbee (Lung) Not Expected to Miss Significant Time
Higbee isn’t expected to miss significant time after suffering a lung injury that caused him to cough up blood Sunday. It’s pretty remarkable that a lung injury causing a player to cough up blood isn’t considered significant, but that is what Ian Rapoport is reporting. Healthy or not, Higbee is not a great DFS option at TE, scoring 5 TD’s in 50 games and averaging 14.3 yards per game in his career.
As reported by: Ian RapoportLeSean McCoy (Ankle) Getting MRI Monday
McCoy is getting an MRI on his ankle Monday, an injury suffered during Week 2. He was significantly less effective Week 2, rushing for 23 yards on 11 attempts and catching all 3 targets for 0 yards, compared to 81 yards on 10 rushing attempts and catching his only target for 12 yards Week 1.
