Chargers K Michael Badgley (Groin) Won’t Play Today

Chargers K Michael Badgley (groin) is out for today’s game in Detroit. He is expected back next week. The Chargers may be more inclined to be more aggressive on fourth downs in enemy territory without a reliable FG maker.

Ravens TE Mark Andrews (Foot), WR Marquise Brown (Hip), and RB Mark Ingram (Shoulder) All Listed as Questionable, Expected to Play Today

Last week’s slate-breaker WR Marquise Brown, TE Mark Andrews, and RB Mark Ingram are all expected to play today despite being officially listed as questionable on the injury report. These Ravens saw less than expected snaps in a rout against Miami in Week 1, and have another juicy matchup at home against Arizona, who is projected to play at the highest pace in the league this season.

Bengals RB Joe Mixon (Ankle) Listed as Questionable, Optimistic to Play Today

Mixon plans to test his ankle in pregame warm-ups and expects to play barring a setback. If the star running back sees a full compliment of work, he makes for an intriguing GPP play at home against the 49ers. If Mixon can’t go, backup RB Giovani Bernard becomes a lock-and-load cash game play on all sites.

Mike Williams

Chargers WR Mike Williams (Knee) is a Game-Time Decision

Williams reportedly improved during practice this week and will likely be used during redzone situations if he plays. He dominated that area of the field last season, boasting historic efficiency on his way to double-digit touchdowns.

This could impact the TD equity of fellow WR Keenan Allen, who was projected a 29% target share for the season before TE Hunter Henry and Williams got hurt. RB Austin Ekeler is expected to see a similar workload to last week after dominating the Colts for 154 total yards and three scores in his fourth career start. Despite the Lions tendency to slow the pace of games, Allen and Ekeler are fantastic plays in all formats across the industry because of their respective target shares and the fact that the Lions were 31st in pass DVOA in 2018.

Schefter: Joe Mixon expected to play Sunday

Schefty never sleeps. Mixon is officially listed as questionable, but is expected to take the field Sunday and could be a little limited by the ankle, but it does take Giovani Bernard out of play for DFS purposes. The Bengals are basically at even money at home against San Francisco, who will be making their second east-coast trip in as many weeks. This doesn’t profile as one of the more exciting games to target, but Dalton and the Bengals offense did appear to have some life injected into it via Zac Taylor’s newly schemed offense. The 49ers weren’t really tested on the ground in Week 1 thanks to a draw with Tampa Bay, but Mixon still profiles as just a contrarian option with some reaggravation risk.

Patriots RB James White (Birth of Child) Likely to Play Sunday

Rumors were flying around that White might not play against the Dolphins because he is expecting the birth of a child. However, White traveled to Miami and reportedly will play unless “something pulled him away from the team, such as if a birth was imminent.”

49ers Promote RB Jeff Wilson from Practice Squad

The 49ers added RB Jeff Wilson to their roster to replace the injured Tevin Coleman. Wilson appeared in six games for the team in 2018, never topping 90 yards rushing or finding the end zone.

While Wilson doesn’t have standalone value this week, he could cut into Raheem Mostert’s workload. Matt Breida should still see the majority of the snaps, including passing downs, against Cincinnati’s soft defense. Breida remains a solid salary-saving option on most sites across the industry.

Jets RB Le’Veon Bell (Shoulder) Officially Questionable for MNF

Unsurprisingly, Bell is officially listed as questionable for Monday night’s contest vs. the Browns. As we reported earlier, Head Coach Adam Gase expects the star RB to play and be the workhorse again. The Jets are going to need production from Bell in order to have a shot to upset the Browns, especially since they will be without QB Sam Darnold (illness).

Jets LB CJ Mosley and DL Quinnen Williams Officially Out for MNF

Already without QB Sam Darnold (illness), the Jets are going to be even more shorthanded in Week 2. Mosley and Williams are two of their most important defensive players, making Cleveland’s prospects of salvaging last week’s embarrassing blowout loss at home all more likely.

Browns RB Nick Chubb, who dudded out as a chalky cash and GPP option across the industry last week, should have more success against this banged up Jets front seven. Chubb is also expected to have game script on his side, as the Browns are favored by about a touchdown.

Jets WR Demaryius Thomas Questionable for MNF

Acquired in a trade with New England after New York lost WR Quincy Enunwa for the season, Thomas could see immediate playing time if he suits up on Monday night. With Le’Veon Bell banged up and Chris Herndon still suspended, Thomas doesn’t have a ton of competition for volume, which may be plentiful in a game where the Trevor Siemian-led Jets are expected to be trailing.

Jaguars CB A.J. Bouye (Hip), WR Marqise Lee (Knee) Downgraded to Out Against Texans

The injury bug continues to hit the Jags hard, as DE Yannick Ngakoue (hamstring), T Cedric Ogbuehi (hamstring), and TE Josh Oliver (hamstring) are already out for Week 2. With defensive stars and Super Bowl hero Nick Foles sidelined, Vegas already had the Jaguars likely to struggle in Houston before Bouye and Lee were ruled out.

Bouye is an elite defender; he has allowed a 66.6 passer rating when playing outside CB per PFF. Fellow CB Jalen Ramsey, who was able to shut down Tyreek Hill last week before Hill left the game due to injury, will have his hands full with DeAndre Hopkins. Home-run threat WR Will Fuller, who had a spectacular 54-yard reception in Week 1, will likely see the biggest benefit with Bouye out. Fuller accumulated 111 air yards on just three targets last week, but he has potential for a big game with his team projected to score 25 points at home. Additionally, Jacksonville just allowed a monster outing to their last opponent’s WR2.

With Bolden sidelined, rookie RB Damien Harris, who was drafted in the third round, could make his NFL debut after being inactive last week. A potential blowout looms in Miami as the defending Super Bowl Champions are 18.5 point road favorites, meaning Harris has a shot to see some significant playing time if he is on the 45-man roster.

Patriots WR Antonio Brown Making Trip to Miami, Expected to Play vs. Dolphins

After being placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, Antonio Brown is traveling to Miami and is expected to play Sunday. We will know for sure if AB is suiting up when we get the Patriots inactives list. If AB takes the field, he definitely merits GPP consideration. New England has a whopping 33.75 implied team total against the tanking Dolphins, who just allowed five passing touchdowns to Lamar Jackson.

49ers WR Deebo Samuel to See Fewer Snaps Sunday, WR Dante Pettis to Play More Snaps

Fantasy owners who rostered 49ers WR Dante Pettis were shocked that the second-year speedster saw the field for just two plays in Week 1. Head Coach Kyle Shanahan was critical of Pettis throughout training camp, but no one saw the breakout candidate barely playing in the opener after logging five total touchdowns and over 75 receiving yards in three of the last five games to close out 2018.

Shanahan said rookie WR Deebo Samuel received too much work after the second-round pick had three catches for 19 yards, lost a fumble, and had a false-start penalty. He admitted Pettis should have been in for more of those plays. With fellow WRs Jalen Hurd (back) and Trent Taylor (foot) out for Week 2, this is definitely a situation to monitor.
