Marquise Brown

Philadelphia Eagles

Marquise Brown (Hip) Will Play Week 2

Brown sat out practice Friday but is expected to play Week 2 after dealing with a hip issue all week. Week 1 he burned the Dolphins for 147 yards and 2 TD’s on 4 catches. He won’t sneak up on anyone this week, but the Cardinals are another great matchup for Brown and QB Lamar Jackson.

Cody Latimer

Washington Commanders

Cody Latimer (Calf) Questionable Week 2

Cody Latimer first appeared on the injury report yesterday with a calf injury. He will be considered questionable for Week 2 and his status will need to be monitored over the weekend. If healthy he could be the top target for the Giants, which is more a reflection of the Giants’ WR issues than it is of Latimer’s skills. Bennie Fowler and Russell Shepard would see more targets if Latimer is out.

Mark Andrews

Baltimore Ravens
9/13/19, 1:07 PM ET

Mark Andrews (Rest) Misses Practice, Will Play Week 2

Andrews sat out practice Friday for rest and will be ready to go Week 2. He led the Ravens in targets Week 1, catching all 8 of his targets for 108 yards and a TD. While the touchdown did come in garbage time from backup QB Robert Griffin III, Andrews is clearly an important part of the offense. The Ravens Week 2 matchup is only slightly tougher than the Dolphins from Week 1, as they take on the weak Arizona Cardinals’ pass defense.

Sterling Shepard

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
9/13/19, 12:52 PM ET

Sterling Shepard (Concussion) Out Week 2

Shepard picked up the concussion during the Week 1 game but still played nearly every snap. He hasn’t been able to progress through the concussion protocol this week and will miss Week 2. The Giants are already missing Golden Tate to suspension and Darius Slayton to injury. With Cody Latimer questionable (calf), Bennie Fowler and Russell Shepard will likely be the top targets for the Giants.

Cole Beasley

New York Giants
9/13/19, 11:47 AM ET

Cole Beasley (Illness) Returns to Practice Friday

Beasley returned to practice Friday after sitting out Thursday. He appears ready to play Week 2 and should remain heavily targeted by Josh Allen. He wasn’t efficient with his targets, catching 5 of 9 for 40 yards and 0 TD’s, but he was frequently targeted. He doesn’t have the same ceiling as John Brown, but the high targets provide a solid floor.

Albert Wilson

Las Vegas Raiders
9/13/19, 11:23 AM ET

Albert Wilson (Calf, Hip) Not Practicing, Unlikely for Week 2

Wilson was not practicing Friday. It is looking unlikely that he will be able to play Week 2, leaving the Dolphins with 4 receives on the active roster. Miami is an absolute mess right now, leaving little DFS value anywhere on this roster. They were playing from behind all of Week 1 and no player finished with more than 3 catches. DeVante Parker is the top option here, and they will almost certainly be playing from behind again, as they are currently 18.5 point underdogs. There will at least be a lot of passes from the Dolphins, so it’s possible a receiver hits value.

Joe Mixon

Houston Texans
9/13/19, 11:26 AM ET

Joe Mixon (Ankle) Part of Walkthrough Friday, Likely to Play

Mixon is trending upward and appears likely to play Week 2. The Bengals did all their damage through the air Week 1, so Mixon and Bernard were both barely involved. If Mixon plays it will be the Bengals’ usual split of carries and targets between the two, making both lower value and riskier plays.

Antonio Brown

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Antonio Brown Will Not Be Put on Commissioner's Exempt List

Brown will not be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list, meaning he will be eligible to play Week 2. This gives Brady one of the top weapons in the league. Phillip Dorsett will see a decreased role as he is pushed to the 4th receiver spot.

J.J. Nelson (Ankle) Does Not Practice Thursday

J.J. Nelson missed his second consecutive practice Thursday with an ankle injury. His prospects for playing Thursday are not looking good. Dwayne Harris should slide into the 4th WR position with Keelan Doss making his debut as the 5th WR.

Tyler Lockett

Las Vegas Raiders
9/12/19, 7:22 PM ET

Tyler Lockett (Back) Limited in Practice Thursday

Tyler Lockett was limited in practice Thursday, one day after sitting out practice with a back injury. This puts him on pace to play Week 2 when the Seahawks take on the Steelers.

Tanner Hudson

Cincinnati Bengals
9/12/19, 6:57 PM ET

Tanner Hudson, Scotty Miller Inactive Thursday Night

TE Tanner Hudson and WR Scotty Miller are both inactive Thursday night. Both are bottom of the depth chart guys, so there aren’t any adjustments needed from a DFS perspective. Mike Evans had been dealing with an illness earlier this week but is ready to go, and the Bucs bring a healthy offense into Week 2.

Greg Olsen

Carolina Panthers
9/13/19, 8:42 PM ET

Greg Olsen (Back) Active Thursday Night

Greg Olsen will active Thursday night. He was able to get a full practice in Wednesday and is one of Cam Newton’s top targets in the passing game. His presence will limit Ian Thomas to a fringe role. The third TE, Chris Manhertz, fills more of a blocking role, and is unlikely to be a DFS factor.

JuJu Smith-Schuster

New York Giants
9/12/19, 6:43 PM ET

JuJu Smith-Schuster (Toe), James Conner (Illness) Full Practice Participants Thursday

Marquise Brown (Hip) Limited Again in Practice

Marquise Brown was limited in practice for a second straight day with a hip injury Thursday. OC Greg Roman indicated he thinks Brown will play Week 2, but it is worth continuing to monitor his status. Both Mark Ingram (shoulder) and Chris Moore (illness) were able to participate fully in practice after being limited on Wednesday.

Mike Williams

Los Angeles Chargers
9/12/19, 5:07 PM ET

Mike Williams (Knee) Does Not Practice Thursday

Mike Williams has not progressed enough with his knee issue to practice, putting his Week 2 status in serious doubt. The Chargers could be without two major offensive weapons, considering Hunter Henry went down with an injury earlier this week.
