Tom Brady (knee) and Rob Gronkowski (back) will play Sunday; Dwayne Allen (knee) ruled out
As expected, both Brady and Gronkowski will be good to go for Sunday’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings despite being limited participants in Patriots practice all week, while Dwayne Allen has been ruled out due to a knee injury. With Gronkowski cleared to play, the absence of Allen doesn’t really have a tangible effect on the New England offense, but Gronkowski caught his first touchdown since Week 1 in last week’s contest on just three targets, so he could be an intriguing tournament target at a suppressed price tag if Brady continues to pepper him with targets in the red zone.
As reported by: Doug Kyed via Twitter Other tagged players: Rob Gronkowski, Dwayne AllenTaywan Taylor (foot) and Tajae Sharpe (ankle) will play Sunday
Taylor practiced in full on Wednesday and is officially good to go for Sunday’s matchup against the New York Jets despite dealing with a foot injury, while fellow wide receiver Tajae Sharpe will also play through an ankle injury. This means that quarterback Marcus Mariota will have his full complement of wideouts available to him in the Titans’ Week 13 contest, but both Taylor and Sharpe average less than four targets per game and Corey Davis is the only receiver realistically in play for daily fantasy formats.
As reported by: Jim Wyatt via TwitterRandall Cobb (hamstring) questionable for Sunday
Cobb was limited in practice all week and is officially questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Arizona Cardinals due to a hamstring injury. Marquez Valdes-Scantling moved back to the outside opposite Davante Adams last Sunday night, so Equanimeous St. Brown would likely be the odd man out of three-wide receiver sets if Cobb is active and healthy for the Packers’ Week 13 contest.
As reported by: Wes Hodkiewicz via TwitterMarquise Goodwin (personal) not expected to play Sunday
Goodwin missed yet another practice on Friday, and he is not expected to play in Sunday’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks as he continues to deal with a personal matter. The viability of Dante Pettis for daily fantasy formats in Week 13 likely hinges on the availability of Pierre Garcon, who’s been limited in practice all week, as Pettis emerged as Nick Mullens’ second favorite target behind George Kittle in last week’s contest and posted a 4-77-1 line on seven targets with both veteran wide receivers sidelined.
As reported by: Matt Barrows via TwitterRBs Gus Edwards (ankle) and Alex Collins (foot) are questionable for Sunday
Edwards reportedly looked like his usual self with no limitations at Thursday’s practice so the questionable tag is surprising. He’s emerged as the Ravens’ new lead back, though a Collins return could cut into his workload. It’s also possible Collins barely sees the field (if he even plays) as Edwards has been impressive with over 100 rushing yards in each of the past 2 games. Either way, a dream matchup awaits against the Falcons’ bottom of the barrel run defense so the rookie back should certainly remain in tournament consideration.
As reported by: Jeff Zrebiec Other tagged players: Alex CollinsRB Melvin Gordon (knee) ruled out for Sunday
Gordon is going to miss multiple weeks with an MCL sprain, elevating Austin Ekeler to a lead back role after proving to be extremely productive in a change-up role for the Chargers over the past 2 seasons.
As reported by: @Chargers Other tagged players: Austin EkelerQB Mitch Trubisky (shoulder) listed as doubtful for Sunday
Chase Daniel will make another start after proving to be competent against the Lions in Week 12. The Bears take on another weak pass defense in the Meadowlands this week, but the Bears may implement a run-heavy game plan as the Giants can be just as easily beaten on the ground.
As reported by: J.J. Stankevitz Other tagged players: Chase DanielQB Joe Flacco (hip) listed as doubtful for Sunday
Lamar Jackson will start again in Week 13 where he’ll be 3 for 3 on favorable matchups so far this season as the Falcons rank last in the league in defensive DVOA. However, Week 14 might present a real QB controversy if Flacco is finally back to full health.
As reported by: William McFadden Other tagged players: Lamar JacksonWR Sammy Watkins (foot) ruled out Sunday
The Chiefs’ WR2 will miss his third consecutive game. The team is a massive favorite against the Raiders so Watkins is likely not needed anyways. This should allow Chris Conley to see a meaningful role again after going 7-74 and scoring 2 touchdowns in the Chiefs’ epic shootout against the Rams. He’s also been seeing over 90% of snaps in Watkins’ absence and is only $4,500 on FanDuel and $3,800 on DraftKings this week.
As reported by: Brooke Pryor Other tagged players: Chris ConleyT.Y. Hilton (groin) will play Sunday
Hilton was removed from the injury report ahead of Sunday’s divisional game at Jacksonville. With Jalen Ramsey questionable, the Colts WR1 may have a lot more upside than usual against the Jaguars despite his career road struggles.
As reported by: @ColtsWR Danny Amendola (knee) now doubtful for Sunday; WR DeVante Parker now questionable
Amendola was optimistic he would play this week after suffering a knee injury in Week 12, though wideout Isaiah Ford was promoted from the practice squad this week and the veteran receiver’s status has now been downgraded for Sunday. He leads the Dolphins in targets and will leave more opportunity to the likes of Kenny Stills and DeVante Parker if he can play through a shoulder injury. However, they face a Bills team boasting one of the top pass defenses in the league and Parker is more likely to be shadowed by Bills top corner Tre’Davious White.
As reported by: Joe Schad Other tagged players: DeVante Parker, Kenny StillsWR Stefon Diggs (knee) questionable for Sunday
Diggs came out of Week 12’s loss with the same injury but still managed to play his full complement of snaps in that game and was quoted as saying he’ll play in Week 13. Consider him on the right side questionable for now given his reassurances, but he may not be 100% and will have a tough matchup with Patriots CB Stephon Gilmore on the outside making him solely a tournament option given his large target share.
As reported by: Chris TomassonRB Marlon Mack (concussion) listed as questionable for Sunday
Mack has one more step left in the concussion protocol in order to get cleared for this week’s divisional matchup with the Jaguars. If he’s unable to go, expect Nyheim Hines to take over the 1a role while Jordan Wilkins serves as the 1b in a running back committee. With the Colts installed as 5-point favorites against Cody Kessler this week, their run game could be viable.
As reported by: Mike Chappell Other tagged players: Nyheim Miller-Hines, Jordan WilkinsWRs Devin Funchess and Curtis Samuel are expected to play Sunday
Samuel is good to go after being removed from the injury report while Funchess is officially listed as questionable, though Head Coach Ron Rivera indicated that the Panthers WR1 was much closer to probable after recovering from a back injury this week. The entire Panthers receiving corps is set up very well against one of the league’s worst passing defenses and attached to a 29-point implied team total. However, Samuel could be the odd man out as he’s failed to see significant snaps in every game Funchess has played this season.
As reported by: Joe Person Other tagged players: Curtis SamuelWR A.J. Green (toe) will play Sunday
Green was fully removed from the injury report on Friday, delivering on his statement that he’d play in Sunday’s game against the Broncos. The star receiver can always go off regardless of opponent, though he returns to a new QB making his first start of the season in Jeff Driskel and may need a little time to work back into form, so expectations may need to be tempered. Tyler Boyd and John Ross’ value should both take a hit as well due to Green’s return and Driskel taking over for an injured Andy Dalton.
