Devin Funchess expected to play in a limited fashion on Sunday
The Panthers wide receiving core will get an extra body this week as Devin Funchess is on track to play for the first in the last three weeks. The team announced that Funchess will be eased back into the rotation, so we can expect to see him play a limited amount of snap vs the Bucs today. DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel have played well in Funchess and all three players have an excellent matchup vs this very weak Tampa defense this week.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterGus Edwards is expected to play
With Alex Collins now out for the year due to a foot injury, Gus Edwards will once again shoulder the lead running back load for The Ravens. With 40 carries over the last two weeks, Edwards has passed the 100-yard mark for two consecutive weeks and gets a very favorable matchup this week vs the Falcons. The early week questionable tag on Edwards was put to bed with a full participation in practice on Friday, and it appears that he will once again take the lead role this weekend. It’s worth noting that Ty Montgomery saw a few carries last week, but for now, it appears that this Edwards job moving forward.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterChris Thompson (ribs) will play Monday night
Thompson has officially been cleared to return and will play in Monday night’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles after missing four consecutive games with a ribs injury, while Adrian Peterson, Jordan Reed, Jamison Crowder, and Trey Quinn have all drawn a questionable tag due to their respective ailments. Prior to his injury, Thompson was a focal point of the Redskins offense, and he could be in line for additional targets and carries if any combination of the aforementioned players are inactive or limited for Monday Night Football.

Bryant has officially been downgraded to doubtful and appears unlikely to play in Sunday’s matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a knee injury that’s already forced him to miss two consecutive games. In his and Jordy Nelson’s absences, Marcell Ateman has emerged as David Carr’s go-to target, as 24.5% of his attempts have gone Ateman’s way. The Raiders are projected to be in a massively negative game script, so Ateman could be in line for a few additional targets at a bargain basement price tag across the industry, particularly on FanDuel.
As reported by: Scott Bair via TwitterJosh Adams (hip) and Darren Sproles (hamstring) questionable for Monday night
Adams is a late addition to the Eagles’ injury report and is questionable for Monday night’s matchup against the Washington Redskins after being a limited participant in Saturday’s practice due to a hip injury, while Darren Sproles is also questionable with a hamstring issue, but both running backs are ultimately expected to play barring a setback. Head coach Doug Peterson already confirmed that Sproles will have a limited role in his first game back, and if Adams is limited in any way, this Eagles backfield will likely be a full-blown committee with Corey Clement and Wendell Smallwood also mixing in for snaps and touches.

The Baltimore Ravens have officially placed Alex Collins on injured reserve, effectively ruling him out of Sunday’s matchup against the Atlanta Falcons and ending his season. In a corresponding move, the Ravens also activated running back Kenneth Dixon, who had been designated to return off injured reserve, and he’ll join the backfield committee that now consists of himself, Gus Edwards, Ty Montgomery, and Javorius Allen to a lesser extent. Dixon appears likely to start out as the third or fourth running back on the depth chart, but his role will certainly be one to monitor as the season winds down, as he is the only member of the aforementioned group that Baltimore has any significant amount of draft capital invested, while the other three are all slated to be restricted or unrestricted free agents this offseason.

Kareem Hunt has been released by the Chiefs and Spencer Ware is the guy that stands to benefit the most from Hunt’s departure. Ware is simply too cheap for his expanded role as part of an offense that has the highest implied total of the slate at 35.25 – he’s a core play this week and should probably be the first guy in all of your lineups.
Packers Bright Light
The Packers have been underwhelming but Aaron Jones has been a bright light. Just like three weeks ago when the Pack played host to the Miami Dolphins this is a perfect spot to stack Jones with the Packers DST. Since that Miami game Jones is averaging 18 touches per game and over 122-yards from scrimmage. He’s the clear go to back in Green Bay and is a core option this week.
Opportunity Alone
Jack Doyle is on the IR, Mo Alie-Cox is out and finally Eric Ebron will be on the field for more than 10 offensive snaps once again. Ebron has dominated in limited field time and is an extremely tough fade in an expanded role – he’s a core play based on opportunity alone.
Panthers Bell-Cow
Last week’s 50-burger from CMac was a slate ender if you weren’t fortunate enough to roster the Panthers bell-cow. McCaffrey showed his ceiling last week and at the same time showed how tremendous his floor is as a running back who is involved as a pass catcher and that is on the field for 95%+ of offensive plays. He’s a core play this week in a favorable matchup against a Bucs defense that has been terrible all season long.
Kareem Hunt has been officially released by the Chiefs
Shortly after placing Kareem Hunt on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, the Kansas City Chiefs have officially decided to part ways with Hunt and will file for his immediate release. Team officials were reportedly made aware of an incident involving Hunt earlier in the year, but his internal conversations with members of management regarding the altercation were proved untruthful by the release of the hotel surveillance video earlier this afternoon. Legal implications aside, with Hunt no longer a member of the Chiefs’ backfield, Spencer Ware will now become the lead running back in Kansas City’s high-powered offense and should be a free square at his price point in daily fantasy formats for their Week 13 matchup against the Oakland Raiders, as the Chiefs are currently -14.5 point favorites with a team total hovering around 35 implied points.

Doug Baldwin practices in full Friday and is not on the injury report for Sunday. There is also no sign of Chris Carson on the injury report, so the Seahawks should be a full-go Sunday afternoon. The Seahawks WRs are still a risky group with Lockett being the safest of the trio, but David Moore has started to eat more and more into the equation as the season wears on.

Dan Graziano of ESPN is reporting that the Chiefs sent Kareem Hunt home from the facility on Friday upon learning of the release of the hotel surveillance video obtained by TMZ and further action appears to be pending. Graziano also suggests that the most likely short-term resolution is that Hunt will be placed on the commissioner’s exempt list pending the Chiefs’ and NFL’s final decision on the situation. If Hunt is released or suspended, Spencer Ware would become the lead running back in Chiefs’ high-powered offense and be a free square at his price point in daily fantasy formats for their Week 13 matchup against the Oakland Raiders.
As reported by: Dan Graziano via TwitterPierre Garcon (knee) ruled out for Sunday
Garcon was a limited participant in practice all week, but he won’t play in Sunday’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks due to a knee injury, while Marquise Goodwin is also not expected to play as he is away from the team and continues to deal with a personal matter. The viability of Dante Pettis for daily fantasy formats in Week 13 in on the rise with Garcon unavailable, as Pettis emerged as Nick Mullens’ second favorite target behind George Kittle in last week’s contest and posted a 4-77-1 line on seven targets with both veteran wide receivers sidelined.
As reported by: Matt Barrows via TwitterKerryon Johnson (knee) officially out for Sunday; TE Michael Roberts (shoulder) doubtful
Johnson’s absence isn’t surprising as he’d be trending in this direction all week. Theo Riddick, LeGarrette Blount and Zach Zenner will fill in with Riddick being the top pass-catching option with Blount likely to do the heavy lifting between the tackles and in the red-zone. With Roberts likely out, we’ll see more of Luke Willson but the TE spot has not been producing much in the way of fantasy points this year.
