Danny Amendola (hamstring), DeVante Parker (shoulder) and Kenyan Drake (shoulder) all log limited practices Wednesday for the Dolphins

The Dolphins saw a number of offensive weapons limited in practice Wednesday, as Danny Amendola (hamstring), DeVante Parker (shoulder) and Kenyan Drake (shoulder) all carried a “limited” designation today. The Dolphins receiving corps is very thin at the moment after both losing Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant to IR, so expect for Amendola and Parker to do everything they can to take the field. Drake was limited as well, although at this point there is nothing to suggest he is likely to miss the team’s Week 12 matchup with the Colts. Keep an eye on all players’ practice status heading into the weekend to ensure they don’t suffer setbacks and are ultimately able to suit up.

Sam Darnold, Robby Anderson both miss Wednesday's practice

Sam Darnold and Robby Anderson both missed Wednesday’s practice for the Jets. Both players appear to be truly questionable for the team’s Week 12 contest with the Patriots, as they have been unable to practice thus far this week. If Darnold is unable to go, look for Josh McCown to yet again start under center for the Jets despite looking terrible in the team’s Week 10 home loss to the Bills. Anderson being unable to go would potentially open up more targets for Quincy Enunwa, who was a limited practice participant today. None of the Jets pass-catchers are particularly appealing DFS options, however, if Darnold is unable to suit up against New England.

Devin Funchess (back) doesn't practice Wednesday

The back injury apparently “popped up” after Week 11’s game according to Head Coach Ron Rivera. Despite Torrey Smith’s potential return, D.J. Moore would be set up even better in Week 12 if Funchess (22% team target share) were to sit out, after the rookie wideout posted a monster performance last Sunday.

WR Marvin Jones and RB Kerryon Johnson ruled out for Thursday

Neither player was expected to play this week as they both are dealing with knee injuries ahead of a short turnaround game. LeGarrette Blount and Theo Riddick should form a committee in a tough matchup with gamescript dictating which back sees more snaps. That would tend to favor Riddick, with the Lions being 3-point underdogs on Thanksgiving. TJ Jones will round out 2-WR sets alongside Kenny Golladay who should see all the targets he can handle after getting 14 looks in Week 11.

RB Chris Thompson ruled out for Thursday; WR Jamison Crowder is questionable

Thompson hasn’t played in a month now leaving Kapri Bibbs and Byron Marshall to split his snaps behind Adrian Peterson who may have his production limited by unfavorable game flow on Thursday, with the Redskins installed as 7.5-point road underdogs. Crowder hasn’t practiced this week so he’s likely on the wrong side of questionable. Even if he does return, he’d likely be heavily limited having not played in nearly 2 months due to an ankle injury.

QB Joe Flacco (hip) not practicing Wednesday

Lamar Jackson is going to start again in Week 12 and gets another friendly matchup at home against a bottom of the barrel Raiders defense in a 10 a.m. PST start game. Jackson’s dual threat nature was on full display in Week 11 as he rushed for over 100 yards. If he can punch in a couple touchdowns this time around he should easily reach value at a reasonable $5,700 this week.

TE Jimmy Graham (thumb) not practicing Wednesday

After breaking his thumb in Week 11, Graham indicated he would try to play through it in Week 12 but is not off to the right start ahead of Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Lance Kendricks will see the majority of TE snaps if Graham ultimately can’t play, though Graham was only averaging about 5 targets per game prior to the injury.

Sam Darnold

Seattle Seahawks
11/21/18, 2:28 PM ET

QB Sam Darnold (foot) returns to practice Wednesday; WR Robby Anderson (ankle) remains out

It will likely be a limited practice for Darnold who now appears questionable for Week 12 after the Jets previously labeled him “day to day and week to week”. If the rookie QB can’t suit up again, veteran Josh McCown will get the start, though neither QB is set up well against the Patriots, attached to a meager 18-point team total. Anderson hasn’t practiced in some time and is likely to remain sidelined in Week 12. Expect Quincy Enunwa to lead the Jets in targets again on Sunday, regardless of which QB starts.

QB Mitch Trubisky (shoulder) officially listed as doubtful for Thursday: QB Chase Daniel on track to start

The Bears QB1 “woke up sore today with less movement in his shoulder than expected” leading to a doubtful tag on the team injury report for Thanksgiving’s divisional showdown against the Lions. Chase Daniel will start in his first game since 2014 in what is likely to be a more run-heavy gameplan for the Bears. As a result, look for RBs Jordan Howard and Tarik Cohen to be heavily utilized and perhaps a slower pace game than originally expected.

WR A.J. Green (foot) being held out of Wednesday’s practice

Despite missing today’s practice, Head Coach Marvin Lewis said he expects the Bengals WR1 to practice later in the week and is still optimistic Green will play on Sunday. Tyler Boyd and John Ross have seen nearly half of the passing targets in Green’s’ absence and would be set up fairly well again with the Bengals having almost a 26-point implied team total.

Calvin Ridley

Tennessee Titans
11/21/18, 10:53 AM ET

My Contrarian WR Play

The first game that Ridley played against the Saints was his career breakout game, as he caught seven balls on eight targets for 146 yards and three TDs. He torched PJ Williams twice for scores, and was so good that in the second half the Saints pulled Marshon Lattimore off Julio Jones and put him on to Ridley to slow him down. The fact that Lattimore should be shadowing Julio again to start this matchup and that the Saints defense is looking good against the run sets up Ryan to pass a lot. Ryan has no problem exploiting the weaker cornerback matchup, which Ridley has going up against Eli Apple, who has been susceptible to the deep ball.

Kerryon Johnson

Philadelphia Eagles
11/20/18, 6:54 PM ET

Kerryon Johnson (knee) and Marvin Jones (knee) both not practicing again Tuesday, Bruce Ellington (back) limited in practice for the Lions

Kerryon Johnson (knee) and Marvin Jones (knee) both missed practice again Tuesday for the Lions, while Bruce Ellington (back) was limited in practice in advance of the team’s Thanksgiving showdown with the Bears. Johnson has been listed as “week-to-week” and appears extremely unlikely to suit up Thursday, meaning some combination of LeGarrette Blount, Zach Zenner and Theo Riddick will handle running back duties in a difficult matchup against a stout run defense. Jones also appears unlikely to suit up, leaving Kenny Golladay the primary weapon in the Lions passing attack. Ellington, on the other hand, appears on track to suit up, and may see a few extra looks assuming Marvin Jones is ultimately inactive for the contest.
