Andrew Luck

Indianapolis Colts
11/21/18, 11:30 PM ET

Healthy And Thriving

What a turnaround it has been for Andrew Luck. The Colts are playing at a fast pace. They are throwing the ball a ton, even in the red zone. Luck is doing his part and taking advantage. He has at least three touchdown passes in SEVEN straight games, which is a remarkable streak for any quarterback, let alone one that many people thought was washed when the year began. The Luck-to-Hilton stack is very much in play again this week against a Dolphins team that isn’t as good as their 5-5 record would indicate. Both these teams are in the thick of the AFC Wild Card race, and I expect Luck to keep the good times rolling in Week 12.

Jarvis Landry

New Orleans Saints
11/21/18, 11:29 PM ET

Taking Advantage Of A Porous Defense

The Bengals are allowing a league-worst 449 yards per game this season, and that number has risen to 496 yards per game over the last three games. That unit is a mess right now. Even though the Browns aren’t exactly the best offensive team in the league, we can target a few players from Cleveland this week. Perhaps this is a breakout spot for Jarvis Landry, who has constantly been a DFS option this year but has rarely come through. I’ve stayed away for the most part, but I’m ready to buy in against a bad defense, especially with the Browns coming off a bye week. They should have a solid game plan in place, and there’s double-digit catch potential here.

Cameron Brate

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
11/21/18, 11:27 PM ET

Obvious Value

Salary savings at the tight end position are often easy to come by, but those players often come with plenty of risk and a relatively limited ceiling. That’s not the case with Brate, who has proven to be a solid receiving option for the Bucs when he is given the opportunity. That opportunity definitely exists now with O.J. Howard on injured reserve, which should push Brate into an every down role in a favorable matchup against the 49ers. Even in GPP formats, I’ll eat the chalk here and differentiate my lineups elsewhere. The salary is just too cheap to ignore given the increased opportunity.

Josh Adams

New Orleans Saints
11/21/18, 11:24 PM ET

Give Him The Ball!

The Eagles really need to make a concentrated effort to get Josh Adams the football. Over the last three games, Adams has 23 carries for 161 yards. That’s an average of seven yards per carry. He also saw six targets in the passing game against New Orleans, and this should be the week where they really look to establish him early. The coaching staff knows that Adams has been good, but game flow simply took him out of the picture last week. Assuming the Eagles can get out to a lead in this game, we could finally see 15-18 touches, and Adams remains dirt cheap. Fire him up with confidence as a GPP punt.

Saquon Barkley

Philadelphia Eagles
11/21/18, 11:22 PM ET

Thriving In His Rookie Year

If you are looking for the fantasy option with the best combination of floor and ceiling, it has to be Saquon Barkley at this point. He’s an electric play-maker that seems to single-handedly keep the Giants in games right now, and Eli Manning is more than happy to simply dump the ball off to him at any time in the passing game. Give him a look in all formats against an Eagles team that is trending in the wrong direction. He logged 29 touches last week and scored three times, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him build on that in Week 12.

DeSean Jackson

Baltimore Ravens
11/21/18, 8:26 PM ET

DeSean Jackson limited in practice Wednesday due to thumb injury

DeSean Jackson was limited in practice Wednesday due to a thumb injury. For now there is nothing to suggest that Jackson’s status for Week 12 is in any real doubt, but keep an eye on his practice status in the coming days to ensure he doesn’t suffer a setback. Jackson will look to get back into a rhythm with Jameis Winston, who will be starting again this week under center for the Buccaneers.

Tyrell Williams

Detroit Lions
11/21/18, 7:36 PM ET

Tyrell Williams doesn't practice Wednesday for Chargers due to quad injury

Tyrell Williams missed practice Wednesday for the Chargers due to quad injury. Williams had three catches for 48 yards in the team’s Week 11 loss to the Broncos, and didn’t appear to sustain the injury mid-game. Keep an eye on his practice status in the coming days to see if he suffered a mid-week setback or if the day off was more maintenance-related. If Williams were to miss it would mean more looks for the likes of Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.

Tom Brady

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
11/21/18, 7:26 PM ET

Tom Brady (knee) and Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) both limited in practice Wednesday, Julian Edelman (foot) practices in full for the Patriots

Tom Brady (knee) and Rob Gronkowski (ankle, back) were both limited in practice Wednesday for the Patriots, while Julian Edelman (foot) was able to practice in full. Brady was a mid-week addition to the injury report with the knee issue, but there is nothing to suggest his availability for the team’s Week 12 matchup with the Jets is in any doubt. Edelman appears on track to see his full workload Sunday as well with his full practice participation Wednesday. Gronkowski is the most questionable of the trio, although he is reportedly on track to return to action Week 12 as well. Keep an eye on each players’ practice status in the coming days to ensure no one suffers a setback, but for now it appears all three will be able to suit up Sunday.

Calvin Ridley

Tennessee Titans
11/21/18, 7:20 PM ET

Calvin Ridley is not listed on the Falcons final injury report, will play Thursday night

Calvin Ridley is not listed on the Falcons final injury report, and will play Thursday night against the Saints. Look for Ridley to see his normal workload in a favorable matchup against an exploitable Saints secondary. When these two teams met in Week 3, Calvin Ridley exploded for 7 catches for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Tre'Quan Smith

Detroit Lions
11/21/18, 6:33 PM ET

Tre'Quan Smith officially questionable for Thursday due to foot injury

Tre’Quan Smith is officially listed as questionable for Thursday’s divisional matchup with the Falcons due to a foot injury. Smith didn’t practice Monday or Tuesday, but was able to return to a limited practice today. His ability to at least practice in a limited capacity today bodes well for his chances of suiting up tomorrow, though the team’s adding of WR Tommylee Lewis to the 53-man roster would suggest there is still at least some question regarding Smith’s status. If Smith is unable to go, it will mean additional targets for the likes of Michael Thomas, Austin Carr and Ben Watson.

Randall Cobb

New York Jets
11/21/18, 7:42 PM ET

Randall Cobb (hamstring) listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday for the Packers

Randall Cobb was listed as a limited practice participant Wednesday for the Packers due to his hamstring injury. Cobb has missed the team’s last two games due to the injury, but his early-week ability to at least practice in a limited capacity bodes well for his ability to return to action this weekend against the Vikings. Cobb’s return would likely mean a slight downtick in targets for upstart wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Adam Thielen

Pittsburgh Steelers
11/21/18, 6:20 PM ET

Adam Thielen (calf, back) logs a limited practice Wednesday for the Vikings

Adam Thielen (calf, back) logged a limited practice Wednesday for the Vikings. There is nothing to suggest that Thielen’s status for the Vikings Week 12 matchup against the Packers is in doubt, but it is worth noting that the star wideout is dealing with multiple injuries heading into Sunday Night Football. Still, expect Thielen to see his normal workload in the team’s divisional primetime matchup against an exploitable Packers secondary.

Tommylee Lewis

Miami Dolphins
11/21/18, 6:10 PM ET

The Saints have activated WR Tommylee Lewis to their 53-man roster

The Saints have activated WR Tommylee Lewis to their 53-man roster in advance of their Thursday night divisional matchup with the Falcons. This is primarily relevant as it might indicate that Tre’Quan Smith may be in jeopardy of missing the game, though he did return to a limited practice today. It is unlikely that Lewis himself is a difference-maker Thursday, but if Smith were unable to go he would make for an interesting GPP flier as Drew Brees tends to get everyone that he can involved in the aerial attack.
