Update: Quincy Enunwa (ankle) doesn't practice Wednesday
Updating a previous report, Quincy Enunwa didn’t practice Wednesday due to his ankle injury. Keep an eye on his practice status in the coming days to get a better idea of his week 9 availability, as at this point he seems truly questionable to make his return after missing weeks 7 and 8 due to the injury.

David Njoku (knee) limited in practice Wednesday
David Njoku was limited in practice Wednesday due to a knee injury. At this point nothing suggests this was more than routine maintenance, as Njoku figures to see his usual workload on Sunday for the Browns against the Chiefs.
WR Stefon Diggs not practicing Wednesday; Dalvin Cook returns
This is likely a rest day for Diggs who “suffered an apparent injury” in Sunday’s loss to the Saints but was able to finish the game. His practice status later in the week should be monitored to ensure he’ll suit up in Week 9. Cook was reported as likely to sit out through the team’s Week 10 bye so he would seem to be questionable at best for Sunday. Fellow back Latavius Murray should assume the bell-cow role again if Cook remains out. Gamescript should suit him better this week with the Vikings installed as 5-point home favorites against Detroit.

Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) has been ruled out again and could potentially sit out through the Dolphins Week 11 bye. Osweiler disappointed against the Texans last week after throwing for nearly 400 yards against the Bears in Week 7. He’ll take on a surprisingly strong Jets pass defense Sunday, however the Dolphins are installed as 3-point home favorites and the Jets offense has been struggling to sustain drives which should set up opportunities for a rebound performance from a QB priced below $5k this week on DraftKings.
As reported by: Adam Schefter Other tagged players: Ryan TannehillWRs Jamison Crowder and Paul Richardson not practicing Wednesday
Both wideouts appear unusable even if they do play in Week 9 as the team continues to rely on Adrian Peterson and their tight ends in what is one of the league’s lowest-volume passing attacks.
As reported by: Les Carpenter Other tagged players: Jamison CrowderWR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) back at practice Wednesday; WR Robby Anderson (ankle) remains out
The Jets passing offense is struggling badly right now and given Anderson’s continued absence, Enunwa should be peppered with targets if he’s able to return this week. Jermaine Kearse saw 10 targets in Week 8 but was largely ineffective and Enunwa had already established himself as rookie Sam Darnold’s most trusted pass-catcher prior to missing time.
As reported by: Ethan Greenberg Other tagged players: Robbie ChosenRB Chris Thompson (ribs) not practicing Wednesday
After missing the prior 2 weeks with rib and knee injuries, Thompson’s workload was severely reduced in Week 8 as the team continued to feed fellow back Adrian Peterson. Even if Thompson does suit up on Sunday, gamescript does not look to be in his favor again with the Redskins being home favorites against the Falcons.
As reported by: JP FinlayWR Torrey Smith (knee) not practicing Wednesday
D.J. Moore will again be locked in as the Panthers WR2 after going for over 100 total yards in Week 8. He’ll draw the worst pass defense in the league this week when the Panthers host the Bucs and is a reasonable $4,300 on DraftKings.
As reported by: Marcel Louis-Jacques Other tagged players: D.J. MooreKenny Stills (groin) practices on Wednesday
It was reported the Dolphins wideout was doing work on the side so this was likely a very limited practice, making him questionable at best for Week 9. Stills had been turning in disappointing performances before getting injured and will now have another receiver to compete with for targets in this low-volume passing offense after the emergence of DeVante Parker in Week 8. Against a solid Jets secondary, he’s probably safe to ignore this week even if he does return.
As reported by: Armando SalgueroTy Montgomery May Play Sunday
Ty Montgomery “possibly” could play Sunday according to coach Harbaugh. This is already a tough backfield to project, now add another mouth to feed and it becomes a GPP only situation.
As reported by: Jeff Zrebiec TwitterC.J. Beathard’s May Sit vs Raiders
C.J. Beathard’s right wrist and thumb “are kind of messed up” so he may not play vs Raiders according to this report. This would affect pass catchers and skill players throughout the 49ers offense if Beathard sits.

Jaguars QB Blake Bortles has an injury to his non-throwing shoulder but is expected to play next week. The Jags are signing Landry Jones for insurance
As reported by: Mark Long TwitterLe'Veon Bell Still Not Reporting.
As the Steelers get ready to begin meetings for another Wednesday of a work week, RB Le’Veon Bell is not present. He wasn’t going to show up before the trade deadline, ensuring he’d remain on the team, but he didn’t show up after, either. Still James Conner’s show. This is according to the very reliable Ian Rapoport
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterJosh Allen (elbow) ruled out for Sunday
Josh Allen has officially been ruled out for week 9 due to his elbow injury. Derek Anderson sustained a concussion in last night’s loss to the Patriots, so it appears Nathan Peterman will be starting week 9 for the Bills. This is a further downgrade for the Bills offense, and sets up the Bears DST to be even more popular than usual on the week 9 slate.
