DeVante Parker expected to play Week 8
DeVante Parker is expected to play Week 8 after missing week 7 due to a quad issue. Parker may be in for his heaviest workload of the season thus far with Kenny Stills already ruled out and Albert Wilson listed as week-to-week for the Dolphins. That said, keep expectations in check as the Dolphins have to face a tough Texans defense with Brock Osweiler under center.
Brock Osweiler will start Week 8 for the Dolphins
As expected, Brock Osweiler will start Week 8 for the Dolphins with Ryan Tannehill still limited by his shoulder injury. Osweiler will have his work cut out for him against a strong Texans defense that has been playing particularly well as of late.
Kenny Stills (groin) ruled out for Week 8
Kenny Stills has been ruled out for the Dolphins Week 8 Thursday night matchup with the Texans. Stills was injured near the end of the team’s week 7 contest, and will not be able to suit up on a short week as a result. Look for Devante Parker, Danny Amendola and Jakeem Grant to be the most heavily targeted receivers, as Stills and Albert Wilson are both not going to be in action.
Danny Amendola (shoulder) and Mike Gesicki (shoulder) limited in practice Monday for the Dolphins
Danny Amendola (shoulder) and Mike Gesicki (shoulder) were both limited in practice Monday for the Dolphins. It appears that Amendola and Gesicki may both be in line for a bulk of the passing targets on Thursday night against the Texans, as the Dolphins have a limited amount of healthy pass catchers with Kenny Stills already ruled out and Albert Wilson listed as week-to-week. It is not a particularly favorable matchup for either of them though against a stout Texans defense.

Ryan Tannehill was limited in practice Monday due to his shoulder injury, and is not expected to play Thursday night against the Texans. While it appears Tannehill is trending in the right direction logging the limited practice, the short week doesn’t bode well for his week 8 availability. It appears Brock Osweiler will again start for the Dolphins, and may be down a few of his receiving options with Albert Wilson listed as week-to-week with a hip injury and Kenny Stills not practicing on Monday due to a groin issue.
Kenny Stills (groin) and Albert Wilson (hip) don't practice Monday
Kenny Stills (groin) and Albert Wilson (hip) both missed practice Monday for the Dolphins. Wilson has all but been ruled out for Thursday night, being listed as week-to-week with a hip injury, and Kenny Stills appears to be in danger of missing the game as well coming off of a week 7 injury on a short week. Keep an eye on Stills in particular in the coming days to get a better feel for his availability Thursday night, but it appears the Dolphins receiving corps will certainly be less than full strength on Thursday evening.

The Redskins are considering Jamison Crowder (ankle), Paul Richardson (shoulder/knee) and Chris Thompson (ribs) all day-to-day heading into week 8. It appears there’s a good chance they all return to action next week, but keep an eye on their practice status as the week progresses to get a better feel for their pending availability.

The Raiders have traded Amari Cooper to Cowboys in exchange for a first round pick. Cooper provides some much needed talent at the wide receiver position for the Cowboys, who will look to get him integrated into the offense as quickly as possible. Cooper immediately steps in as the top receiving option for a Cowboys team that had essentially been relying on Ezekiel Elliot for both run game and pass game production, and had seen Cole Beasley operating as the WR1.
Sony Michel considered week-to-week with knee injury
Updating a previous report, it appears Sony Michel avoided structural damage but is being considered week-to-week with a knee injury. It seems unlikely he suits up for the Patriots week 8 Monday night contest with the Bills, leaving James White the primary target out of the Patriots backfield with Kenjon Barner handling some of the early down work.
WR Albert Wilson (hip) expected to miss significant time
He’s visiting a hip specialist to determine the injury’s severity but “the best case scenario is that he would miss a few weeks”. Look for Jakeem Grant to see more snaps in Wilson’s absence as the team’s new WR3.

The Patriots back got good news following an MRI on Monday but is still likely to miss Week 8 and has a history of knee issues. Kenjon Barner could fully assume Michel’s role while he’s out or James White could see an uptick in carries. Both backs saw double digit carries in Sunday’s win over Chicago once Michel exited. We’ll get more clarity on the Patriots backfield situation later in the week.

Rapoport says: “Steelers players are in the building in Pittsburgh, back from their bye week, but I’m told RB Le’Veon Bell is not among them”. We will see how this plays out, but we could be in store for more James Conner moving forward.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterWR Albert Wilson Suffers Major Injury
Dolphins WR Albert Wilson suffered a hip injury Sunday that is expected to sideline him “some time”. Wilson undergoing tests today to determine how long he’ll be out. Wilson was just starting to emerge for the Dolphins. Jakeem Grant absorbed extra snaps and Kenny Stills caught a touchdown after Wilson went down, so we will stay tuned for more news from the Dolphins in days to come.
As reported by: Adam Schefter TwitterChris Thompson (ribs) inactive Sunday, as expected
Chris Thompson is inactive Sunday due to a rib injury, as expected. In Thompson’s absence, look for Adrian Peterson to get the bulk of the carries for the Redskins, with Kapri Bibbs filling in as a change-of-pace back. Neither make for particularly appealing plays this week against a stout Cowboys defense.
Paul Richardson (shoulder, knee) inactive Sunday
Paul Richardson is inactive Sunday due to shoulder and knee injuries. Richardson and fellow WR Jamison Crowder both are unable to suit up for Washington, leaving Maurice Harris to be featured in a primary role as one of the main pass catchers for the Redskins. Look for Jordan Reed to see a heavy target share as well due to the lack of healthy bodies in the Washington receiving corps.
