Josh Gordon listed as starter for Week 2
The Browns listed the talented wide receiver as a starter on today’s depth chart ahead of Sunday’s game at New Orleans. This was just a formality as Gordon played nearly 80% of the snaps in Week 1 where he nabbed a 17 yard touchdown on three targets. While the lack of targets is concerning, the extreme weather conditions in Cleveland and lack of reps with Tyrod Taylor likely factored into Gordon’s Week 1 production. His target volume should increase within the confines of the Superdome in Week 2 where the Browns figure to be passing quite a bit to keep up with the Saints potent offense. Gordon’s price this week is similar to his Week 1 salary across the industry and his upside remains elite.
As reported by: Cleveland BrownsPanthers TE Greg Olsen expected to miss "significant chunk of time"
The Panthers confirmed that the veteran tight end re-fractured his foot in Sunday’s opening game against the Cowboys and will be out for a while. This is a blow to the fantasy outlook of Cam Newton as he loses his most reliable receiving target from a team already going through offensive line woes. Rookie Ian Thomas is expected to replace Olsen as a starter but it’s unlikely he does in target share, leaving extra targets for the likes of Devin Funchess and Christian McCaffrey moving forward. Both players averaged over two more targets per game with Olsen out last season, making them possible values in Week 2.

Bennie Fowler is next to sign with Patriots this morning to add depth to that shallow wide receiving corps. The Patriots can take anyone off the scrap heap and turn them into 1 week wonders, so keep your eyes on this depth chart.
As reported by: Field Yates TwitterPatriots sign Corey Coleman
Former First Rounder, Corey Coleman will sign with the Patriots in hopes of rejuvenating his NFL career. It remains to be seen how this will affect the current New England receiving corps.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterMNF Inactives: Ameer Abdullah and Jermaine Kearse both OUT for DET/NYJ
Jermaine Kearse (abdomen) is inactive on the Jets side of the ball Monday night, while Ameer Abdullah is a healthy scratch for the Lions. Quincy Enunwa is the clearest beneficiary of Kearse’s absence, although Terrell Pryor may see an increase in targets as well. Abdullah’s absence does little to clear up a murky Lions backfield, as LeGarrette Blount, Theo Riddick, and rookie Kerryon Johnson all expect to see action as part of the Lions rushing attack.

Jeremy Hill will miss the 2018 season with a torn ACL suffered in Week 1. Hill played 12 of 75 snaps against the Texans and received 4 carries and 1 reception. This should solidify Rex Burkhead as the goal line back, although you ever know with the Patriots. Sony Michel is on the mend so this will still be an unpredictable situation in New England.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterDoug not Dancing Anytime Soon
Doug Baldwin left Seattle’s first game of the year in the second quarter and never returned. He was later diagnosed with a sprained right MCL. His status moving forward is week-to-week but it would be hard to trust Baldwin anytime soon. He came into the game with a bum left knee that he proclaimed would only be 80-85% this season and now tacks on an injury to his right knee. Brandon Marshall caught a touchdown but Tyler Lockett would be your best bet to step into the #1 WR role if Baldwin misses time.
As reported by: Bob Condatta TwitterOlsen Out With Foot Injury
Greg Olsen left the Week 1 game versus the Cowboys in the 1st Quarter and never returned. He was spotted with crutches and a walking boot after the injury so this doesn’t look good. The Panthers do not have a Tight End that looks capable of stepping in and replication Olsen’s offense, so this injury will do damage to the passing numbers of Cam Newton.
As reported by: ESPNDeSean Jackson Dealing With Concussion
DeSean Jackson left the Week 1 game in the 2nd half with a concussion. He was carving up a stout secondary with downfield catches that looked like vintage DeSean. Before leaving he put up a monster 5/146/2 stat line. Tampa is at home Week 2 hosting the Eagles, Jackson’s former team. He will need to clear concussion protocol before playing again. If he is out for any period of time we could see Chris Godwin make a major impact on DFS rosters.
Mariota Injured in Week 1 Loss
Marcus Mariota left the Week 1 game versus Miami with an elbow injury. A report came out that he lost feeling in his fingertips and was eventually removed from the game. Mariota looked terrible before the injury and we will wait and see the extent of this setback. If he plays in Week 2 he will be a low owned option in DFS that could pay dividends in tournaments.
As reported by: TennesseanDelanie Done
Delanie Walker has been diagnosed with a dislocated ankle along with a fracture and looks like he has been lost for the season. It is a big loss in production for the Titans and a lost season for the aging veteran. It looks like we are going to see Jonnu Smith as a major part of the offense moving forward. Smith isn’t a known commodity but he is capable as a receiver.
Mort: Josh Gordon expected to play roughly 20 snaps
Not only does he have the weather working against him, but Gordon is going to be limited to roughly 20 snaps per Chris Mortensen. It’s still possible he extends that playing time if things are going well, but he’s no longer the only viable weapon on the Cleveland side so they don’t necessarily have to force him in there if his ankle is still any kind of issue. Jarvis Landry likely benefits from whatever Gordon leaves behind, with Antonio Callaway also factoring in. David Njoku could benefit a bit in the red-zone.
Other tagged players: Tyrod TaylorVontae Davis inactive (healthy scratch) for Week 1
He simply didn’t perform well during the offseason and hasn’t earned his worth here quite yet. It’s possible he’s back in the mix in the coming weeks. This doesn’t really change anything for Baltimore.
Sony Michel, Jacob Hollister and Chad Hansen all inactive for NEP; Riley McCarron active
With Michel inactive, Rex Burkhead is expected to eat up the majority of the early down work with James White handling passing down situations, of which there may be plenty given that the Patriots are likely to throw it often. Especially given the lack of ancillary options alongside Gronkowski and Hogan, White and Burkhead are both strong value plays, with White being best suited for GPP formats. The Pats WR corps are still thin, but McCarron isn’t likely to see the field much.
Other tagged players: Rex Burkhead, James WhiteCameron Meredith INACTIVE Sunday
Cameron Meredith is listed as inactive due to a knee injury for the Saints week 1 matchup against Tampa Bay. In a related move, Austin Carr is listed as the starting slot WR for New Orleans. Look for Carr and Ted Ginn Jr. to receive the majority of targets that aren’t thrown in the direction of Michael Thomas in the Saints’ matchup against a soft Bucs secondary.
